Title: IVY RIDGE QUESTION
Post by: Anonymous on April 23, 2006, 01:45:00 AM
I have a question - does anyone know the status of Ivy Ridge diplomas? Are kids being handed out legitimate diplomas at this time? Do we have proof one way or the other? I know there were questions about the legitimacy of the education in the past, just wondering if anyone has current info. thank you.

Currently unaccredited and not allowed to issue diplomas in NY.

Didn't Ivy Ridge have to close?

No, they are not closed. Thank you for the response. Do you know where I can obtain proof of this (no legitimate diplomas?)

Ah my mistake. They were fined a quarter of a million dollars and made to refund a substantial amount of money.
The easiest way to check would be to ask the New York State board of Education.

Or you could just go to the attorney general of New Yourk's website and look there.

Sure, just check their accreditation staus.  They are unaccredited and therefore barred from issuing diplomas in NY.

Just last year they were ordered by the AG to cease and desist issuing fraudulent diplomas and to reimburse over $1,000,000.00 in tuition to students defrauded by their diploma scam and were fined $250,000.00 by the state.
