Title: RENT
Post by: Anonymous on March 04, 2006, 10:26:00 PM
I saw the play RENT in NYC 10 years ago. I liked it. I had no expectations of the movie.  I just rented RENT, and found myself quivering with emotions and sobbing through the movie.  For whatever reason, it really moved me, really touched me, and the part of me that still idealistically believes in unconditonal love and loving somone in spite of all their broken bits while still appreciating the gifts they bring to every moment. And it's not just idealism of love that moved me, but the idealistic belief of creative drive independent of commercial subservience.

It kills me I have no talent in the creative arts, because when I see an artist, a dancer, a filmmaker, a singer create something that is so transcendent it moves me in a way that is almost painful to bear.

There is nothing else.

Um...yeah, that was a very cool movie.  Yes, I did cry when Mimi died.
