I mean we weren't just a bunch of weak willed kids charmed out of our wits by some charismatic cult leader. It's not like we were seduced and persuaded or otherwise chose to join some cult. We were kidnapped(I was even kidnapped right out in public in broad daylight) and physically held against our will and forced to become cult members. We were prevented physically from leaving the cult. We were prisoners at the mercy of our captors. We were mentally invaded by powerful criminals, who chained us up to make us their slaves.
By the time I got out of there and was tryin' to find my way again in the world I was so fucked up. I'm a cripple. The cult was all that I knew.
