I realize this should be off topic, but I generally post here.
Just thought Id let everyone know that Niles is now offically able to drink LEGALLY, so no more worries about hiding it
Anywho, I was impressed.. its supposedly the cheapest label that company sells but its actually pretty decent. Then again, Im not exactly prone to be especially caustic on my reviews of booze, especially because so far I havent been exposed to much and my palette is so naive... I guess like how a virgin would look at sex?
Seems europe has us beat in that regard... I should go there sometime when I know how to hold my liquor and my ears get imprints of being a held licker  Or anytime between now and forever for that matter... fuwahahhahaha!Men had better be without education than be educated by their rulers.

It's no fun smuggling a bunch of booze and a guy like yourself across the state line if there isn't some risk of getting in trouble for it, you know? "aww dammit. He's legal."

Happy B-Day, Niles!
An Animated Cartoon Theology:
1. People are animals.
2. The body is mortal and subject to incredible pain.
3. Life is antagonistic to the living.
4. The flesh can be sawed, crushed, frozen, stretched, burned, bombed, and plucked for music.
5. The dumb are abused by the smart and the smart destroyed by their own cunning.
6. The small are tortured by the large and the large destroyed by their own momentum.
7. We are able to walk on air, but only as long as our illusion supports us.

Happy Birthday Niles!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday Dude.
Listen,
If you want a real good Burbon, get yourself a bottle of Elijah Craig. Its a Kentucky small batch burbon, aged 12 years. It can be hard to find - and will cost ya about 25.00 or so, but its worth the price and trouble.
Anybody know if its legal to send liquer through the mail?
I've often thought it would make a great gift, as long as mailing it wasn't braking federal law. Guess I could ask at the post office. . .
-
i'll toast to that!
-
It is legal to send liquor thru the mail, I order absinthe from France all the time...Blow is another story though

What brand of absinthe would you recommend? I have some called Tabu, which I bought in Germany. I haven't tried it yet.
Happy birthday, Niles. I don't go to the countryside much (Utah really traumatized me. Just the site of mountains can trigger a panic attack), but you are welcome to visit in Dc anytime.

Raleigh NC is anything but countryside. LOL. Stereotype much? or Hummer, hard to tell them apart sometimes. One looks like a store on wheels, one has a store built on it.

Where exactly is Raleigh? (okay, I could just check a map, but am a bit lazy). I go to the Outer Banks every summer. My sister went to UNCG (don't really know where that is either, but I had to take United "express" to get there). My sister's fiance is from Swananoa, and he is really a country boy, and very nice. His parents got married when they were 16, which I think is pretty weird.
Anyway, Niles, I think you are sexy, and you should come to DC sometime.

Center of the state... a 'hub' for a bunch of cities around it, so the metropolitan area is rather sprawl-ish, and we even have a tiny little downtown area.
Theres also "RTP" or Research Triangle Park, the silicon valley of the southeast more or less, and Durham and Chappel Hill, and RDU international.
Not very rustic unless you drive a good distance away from raleigh or get lost in a park :smokin: is it cos I run my mouth so much? One does not have to appeal to God to set the initial conditions for the creation of the universe, but if one does He would have to act through the laws of physics.

Hey Niles - I've got a lot of family right around you. My Mom's folks came from around there - but more out in the country side. Its beautiful, really - except what is blanketed in Kudzu.

Sorry, I would have to be late. I currently live just outside New York City. I will be moving to Charlotte, NC later in the year.

When I lived in Asheboro...I thought it was soooooooooooo far out. But it was beautiful land. I had moved from the D.C. area.

Well, someone's gonna have to take Niles out to party. *Heavy Sigh* Oh, nevermind... I'll do it...

Most of the people I know who are living in North Carolina (mostly young couples) are there because they cannot afford to stay in the DC area (even one hour outside DC, houses are sooo expensive, same price as in the city, like $700K, just you get more space).
Lots of people (young couples, I see) are leaving New York and moving to Florida- they just get more for their money down there. (and there's a big Jewish community there). I'm not Jewish, but many of my NY friends are. You just cannot live in NY on less than 6 figures- unless you want to live in a slum w/ 4 of your friends, and live on Ramen noodles and really cheap vodka. Yuck. Thats not cool anymore, after age 25.
Anyway, I don't have to see someone to know they are sexy.
