I'm not a 'survivor', nor am I a parent. Let's just say I'm a concerned person right now.. Without getting too far into why I'm here, can anyone help me?
Can anyone explain to me exactly what a hobbit is? I've seen a picture of a box... is a child put IN that thing, or is it something designed to be slept UPON, uncomfortably?

The hobbit is a room. That box is way too small for a child to fit in it - plus theyd have no way to write "let freedom ring" if theyre locked in a box.
I like you are neither a child, survivor, or a parent, but an american with a conscience and a sense of standing up against whats wrong and for whats right.
http://www.isaccorp.org (http://www.isaccorp.org) and http://springcreeklodgeexperience.blogspot.com/ (http://springcreeklodgeexperience.blogspot.com/) (specific to SCL, and the hobbit) would be helpful. Also, you might get some private messages about this, so be sure to log in and check them.

The box you are most likely talking about was a wooden trunk they would use to lock the students shoes and toiletries in while they were in isolation.
