Tranquillity Bay runaways found
 
The two boys who slipped out of the boot camp in Tranquillity Bay St. Elizabeth have been found.
Wednesday morning the administration of the boarding school announced that it was offering a US $1,000 reward for information on the whereabouts of two boys who fled the facility on Saturday.

But by mid-afternoon the school informed our News Centre that the boys, Tyler Stout and Christopher Chughua, had been found.

Executive Director of the school, Jay Kay, says the two were found alone near the beach in Alligator Pond.

He says the reward has been paid to the persons who provided the tip as to their location.

The two boys had slipped past security personnel at the high security institution during heavy rains associated with Hurricane Emily.

Tranquillity Bay, a reform school for troubled teenagers, is run by a US-based organization.



I guess $1,000 goes a long way in Jamaica  :flame:

This is typical they offer rewards for run aways for the programs in the US too. They make sure the kids no it too.

It's just like the wild wild west - they essentially offer a bounty just like they were prisoners. We should all boycot Jamaica for allowing this sort of abuse in their country.

Yep, just as I suspected.  A bounty.  In a 3rd world country ... 1,000 bucks goes a long way.
