Elan history / What is everyone doing tis summer?
« on: July 13, 2006, 12:12:00 AM »
Hi Folks,
Ewww, I sound like George W.  Is anyone doing anything exciting this summer?  The weather here in CT is NASTY!
So humid, it feels like floating rain.  Everything is moldy.  I am enjoying staying indoors.  What a thrill!
How about the rest of you???? ::cheers::  ::burger::

Unbelievable!
 A Yankee. :flame:
I hate how these baseball players have no loyalty to their teams, and that the teams don't have it either.
What's next, Bill Gates gives out I-pods for Christmas????

Elan School / How is using foul language thereputic?
« on: September 26, 2005, 11:56:00 PM »
My son, as messed up as he was a few years ago, at least had the courtsey not to use foul language when he was around me.
Now it is all I hear. He said he was so used to it from elan, that it is hard to break.
I want to break his arm when I hear this. Can't people let their feeling out in a more appropriate manner?
Any social skills taught there? What does swearing teach?????????
Honest replies only please.

I am going to a game tonight! I am so excited.  The only major league game I've ever been to, was a Mets game.  I was somewhere around 9 years old.  I saw a man eating out of a trash can and it tramatized me for a very long time. That and hearing "let's go Mets" is all I remember. I'm sure this will be much better!   ::cheers::

Elan School / Thanks Maren
« on: April 06, 2005, 03:57:00 PM »
Hi Maren,
Thank you for your understanding of where I am comming from. You are very kind.
I thought I should start a new post so that nasty thing about Pete would stop surfacing.
Art does post anonymous. I guess he thinks we are slow and can't figure it out. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. I'll never understand why he is so cruel to me.
By the way, are we from the same state?
Thanks again

Elan history / Snow in northern Vermont?
« on: February 16, 2005, 10:47:00 PM »
Hey Everybody, Too bad no one posts here very often. It is nice not to have the B.S. like the other elan board.

I was wondering if anyone has been to, or is from the Jay Peak/Stowe area? We are headed up to ski for the week and under the impression that there isn't much snow. I hope we just have bad information.
Any clues??

Hi Art,
I heard you guys were getting buried in the Chicago area. Is it nice or that rotten freezing rain and ice?

Hey Art, What is up with you? You rude comments about me are unnecessary. Why do you like to try to hurt my feelings and hide behind a bag?
I don't need YOU to like me.
You think I am an asshole because I sent my son to elan. Get over it.
We all have choices in life to make, and I made the best choice with the information I had available.
I don't appreicate you constant shitty comments about me.
I know it is you because of your writing style.
I have been nothing but kind to you!
What's the deal?

Elan School / Have a great 2005
« on: January 01, 2005, 02:29:00 AM »
Hey everyone, I wanted to wish all of you happiness and good health to start the year off right.
Also, let's all try to help others who are less fortunate than us. If you cannot afford to donate money, we all have time, blood and used clothing. Even old coats and blankets. Before you throw it away, ask yourself if you know someone who could use it, if not, goodwill, ect.
You will have extra room in the closet too.
Let's all be good to our neighbor. Become an organ donor, if the worst were to happen, part of you still lives for you family while saving a life. It will make you feel better.

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a nice holiday. What a nice warm day it was.
I ate too much rich food today and I am paying the price now. I have to sleep sitting up! OH JOY! Otherwise, it was a wonderful day.

Elan School / Social Security
« on: November 05, 2004, 08:02:00 PM »
Bush has now again, brought up how he wants to allow young people to invest their Social Security money in the stock market. Now that is just stupid! What will happen when they lose it? Then the next generation will have to pay to support them on welfare.
My family runs a supermarket which had a large number of elderly customers. It is very sad to see the ones that didn't save or have the ability to save for their retirement. They have so little, they qualify for public assistance.
I would hate to see even more of that. It is a bad idea.[ This Message was edited by: Llahsram on 2004-11-05 17:04 ]

Elan School / I could NOT watch another debate!
« on: October 20, 2004, 10:38:00 PM »
Hi Syn, I watched 3 debates. 2 for Pres & 1 for VP. If I had to watch another, I think I would rather dip my head in a pot of boiling water ::drummer::      [ This Message was edited by: Llahsram on 2004-10-20 21:28 ]

Elan history / I am angry and scared!
« on: October 18, 2004, 11:54:00 PM »
Hi Guys, My Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer last week. He went in for bone & CT scans today. He has been in horrific pain because after the biopsy, complications began. He was feeling much better today.
The thing we have on our side is the fact that he has been checked every 3 month for several years.
Also, the cure rate is very high.
I just am worried that it may have spread elsewhere. I know I am going to lose him someday, but I am not ready for this now. I can't imagine life without him.
I don't think anyone has ever loved me as much as my Dad does. I am not religious and can't say I pray, but I am doing my best to think positive.
This may not be the place for this kind of post, but here I can vent without getting my sisters and brother upset. Thanks for listening.

Open Free for All / Cat Stevens a terrorist. What's next?
« on: October 01, 2004, 11:03:00 PM »
I just watched an interview on 20/20. It is frightening to think that he is on a "watch list". The man only sang songs of love and peace. He was one of my favorite singers in high school. The other night on Letterman, he wondered if our government would go after Gorden Lightfoot next. Mr Rogers has passed on, so we don't have THAT as a threat.

Elan history / happy sunday to all
« on: September 19, 2004, 10:02:00 PM »
Hi Art, why do you let those dopes bother you. They are obviously not well. Be happy you are better than them. We have had some intense rain here for a couple days, and  a few days earlier I had a root canal. My head was killing me and I was grumpy so I thought I would take my crabby attitude to the elan bagheads instead of my family. Be Good, Cindy
