You're damn right about that one Jim. Had a new born on the way at the time, and it was taking up space. On the box says it can increase hp 5-15 hp, blah blah blah, I bought it for the better air flow so that my engine can breath better. I am not one of those people who buy into the gimmicks where certain add ons create and give you more hp. I have a Flowmaster exahust on my vehicle which has a 351 engine, I found no increase in power, at least I didnt notice it.
The sales Woman at the counter said that alot of her customers that bought the K&N filter for their vehicle have noticed better gas mileage out of their vehicle after purchasing and installing the filter, just was curious if you Jim Bob have ever used a K&N and whats your thoughts were about them.

Thats why I didnt buy inot that upgrade. I saw this display thingy for K&N, it showed how the air was restricted in flow vs when you slapped on the K&N filter, the air flowed much better. I said what the hey, and bought it. And it does make my motor perform better, especially when I am towing. Better gas mileage when I am towing? NO. But I definately feel a difference in the way the engine acts now.

Put one on a Dyno and look at the lack of numbers it produces,, now put an american muscle car on that same dyno and see what power is all about.. American car companies measure their horsepower from the rear wheels,,jap car companies measure theirs from the fly wheel. All jap cars have front wheel drive, thus dont have to dispense power all the way to the rear wheels,,whcih alot or power is used up by the time it gets to the rear.
So if you took that same jap car engine and set it up so that it was rea wheel drive,, you would most likely be under 100hp on the dyno.
You teenagers cant touch the amercian muscle cars. Mustangs,Chargers,Corvettes,Monte Carlos with V-8's, the new Camora and Challenger soon to debut,,those are true muslce cars and they make true power sound coming from the rear,,throw a gibson or flow master exhaust then you really enhance the sound.
Fuck your Hyundai,, fuck your Toyotas, fuck your Hondas, they are all economy commuter cars.
