Yesterday a 17 year old girl died at "Egely" - an institution for troubled and criminal teens in Denmark.

The police are looking into the matter (The inmates are supposed to be watch very carefully 24 hours per day), but so far they have not found out why she died.

In order to stay at "Egely" the inmates has to commit a crime involving personal damage. There are room for 20 inmates (Only 3 such institutions exist in Denmark) where 5 of them are on extra watch. Boys and girls live next door and there is no looking down in the ground when the opposite sex is present.

I got this video clip (In Danish) showing the surroundings. The background for the clip was that they had too many confrontations, so the staff recieved extra education in conflict management.

Normally we don't believe in behaviour modification in Denmark. Those 3 institutions and some prisons are the exception. Court ordered therapy sometimes has to be ordered.

As an example I can give you some cases:

A year ago a young man took his car out and hit a baby and his father with 150 kilometres per hour - killing them both. He got two years in prison. Another man killed a 18 year old girl DUI (drugs and alcohol). He got 1,5 years in prison. When convicted to such a short time in Jail, it is important to alter their behaviour in a very powerful matter. Our prison terms has to be short. Our taxes are very high, so every day they are in prison, they can not generate money to pay taxes for.

That is why we have behaviour modification in Denmark, but I find it OK because it is court ordered and only used in very severe cases.

I hope the relatives of the poor girl can overcome their lost.

Let It Bleed / How to make children interested in chemistry
« on: November 14, 2006, 03:03:50 PM »
For some year the interest in subjects like physics and chemistry has dropped by Danish students.

Now we are going to turn this development and be in the front.

The tool is to allows our students the brew beer in the chemisty lessons.

In a few year we would be in the front when it comes to making the best beer and in the number of students with top grade in chemistry.

So Beware - We are on the move!

Aspen Education Group / Aspen expansions into Europe
« on: November 14, 2006, 02:43:25 PM »
After Redcliff declined to make a second season. They had to hold themselves back and use a more respectful tone, when they addressed the students. The painful  technique, they use to get "sitters" up and walk was not suitable for Television.

http://www.redcliffascent.com/pdf/cameras.pdf

So TwentyTwenty television went to Aspen Group and the sadistic television viewers saw children in the stones circles at TurnAbout Ranch (But not Wayne "wrestling" with the female students.). They also saw Lucy with her wrist twisted for almost an hour according to the speaker in the program at Aspen Achievement Academy.

Aspen also hosted the American version and now a family version which made remarkble results. (A mother pulled her family out due to the harsh conditions and another pair of parents pulled their daughter out because they had seen what the staff in such programs would be able to do.).

Now they are expanding across Europe:

What can we do about that? I wrote to a watch organisation in Denmark yesterday, but I also need to address similar organisations in Netherland and Germany. Are there anyone from these countries present here?

Tacitus' Realm / Why jail for runaways?

I have watched Dr. Pihl.

1) A poor girl can not live with mother. Although relatives wants to take her in, the mother insist that she must go to jail, where she remained until she was 18.

2) Kim came in for an advise and Dr. Phil send her to Aspen Archievement Academy. Recently she ended up in jail because she ran away.

http://drphil.com/shows/show/752/

and now she is in jail.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4322660.html

Why are you putting them into jail? Could it not be that something terrible is wrong in the home and the child should be remove into foster-care instead?

It seems that these rules makes it very easy for a parent to molest a child and get away with it. I am not saying that it is the case in these two cases, but it seems that it is all about blaming the child instead of looking into the matter as a whole.

Brat Camp / When parents endure worse than their child (SPOILER: BC4)
« on: November 07, 2006, 03:32:01 AM »
According to reviews from (Brat Camp 4 - Family brat camp) one of the moms could not take the discomfort of Idahos desert anymore and pulled her family out of the program.

Her son which were buttered by som slight anger issues, seemed to come along quite fine, but she could not take it anymore.

What does it tell us?

According to my opinion it serves as an example of how we priorities. Some of us would go further in order to ensure the best possibilities for our children. I would through fire so save mine.

But some will go on living as they use too and outsource problems and hard work like cleaning the house often is outsourced.

It is sad - just sad.

I would invate parents to tag along your child in the future, when you send him or her to a program.

- Please wear the orange jumpsuit with your child
- Please lie down at the side of your child in OP
- Please sit all day in a stonecircle without shoes.
- Please lie hogtied along your child in High Impact
- Please occupy the dog cage next to your child in High Impact
- Please take a seat next to your child in handcuffs when the teen escorts comes for your child.

Only then when you are visible showing your child what you are prepared to go through, the love of your child is guaranteed.

83
I have just created a webpage on wikipedia about teen escort companies, because we all needs to know about this shortcoming in the US child protection laws.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teen_escort_company

I could need some links to the law which allows such companies to exist and also in some kind of license is need to operate in this kind of business.

Please do not try to tamper with the text if you are an employee or owns a business or have been an unfortunately client of such a company. The rules of Wikipedia states that any article has to be NPOV (Which can be rather hard, if you are describing a program or a consentration camp.) but so are the rules.

Someone want the truth oppressed:

Two IP-numbers seems to be active:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit ... 181.151.57

208.66.37.145 is:

The Troubled Teen Industry / How to order a transport ?
« on: October 01, 2006, 03:40:14 PM »
As you properly know the sick form of entertainment which started in Europe (Sending european teens to Utah.) are now airing season four.

http://www.channel4.com/life/microsites ... index.html

This time the parents would join their kid in the desert from the start.

I just wonder if this kind of concept catches on. How are you going to order the transport service?

"Please send a group to fetch my teen, my wife and me self. I would send you the key for the frontdoor, so you can sneak in and surprise us."

Tacitus' Realm / That is taking parental responsebility serious
« on: September 22, 2006, 04:50:48 AM »
Yesterday a court in Denmark sentenced a father to 10 days in jail because he failed to discipline his two children of a age 5 and 6, when they mistreathed a cat.

The boys took the cat by its tail and swung it to the ground. The cat did hurt a tooth.

The father stood nearby and did not interfere. That send him to jail.

How would it have ended in the States? Would it be the boys that would have been punished in court instead?

The Troubled Teen Industry / Sometime sickness can give you a job.
« on: September 14, 2006, 07:57:53 AM »
As you properly know, your companies have bought a lot of Danish companies because we have inventet software and techology that are second to none.

Some of the reasons are that we test and test our products over.

And sometimes the best candidates for that job iare people that not entirely well as the majority see it. In Denmark we do not believe in correcting a problem that are bearable. This add for candidates illustrates that:

http://www.specialisterne.dk/english/candidate.html

Some children sufferes from diseases where the parents can decide if they want their child to live with it or the want to correct it. I have read about www.judgerc.com where they try to eliminate candidates for jobs like that by the use of electrical shock.

I am not an extremist that claims that every kind of medicin should not be used on children. My wife has no thyroid gland and she have been medicated since her birth. Without medicin she would be dead in days. Sometime medication is necessary.

But accept that some children just need space, time, structure and an organized enviroment in order to live like the rest of us. Then there is a job for them too.

The  authorities has rewoked the licence for the institution "Atlantis" in the town of Naestved on the south of Zealand.

In Denmark every instution has to have a licence and a special ยง17 committee consisting of politicians can visit every licenced institution unannouced whenever they like.

Also it is very seldom that the parents alone are allowed to send their children away. The authorities has to approve and often it is done because the parents have some problems that makes it impossible for the children to stay home.

However the politicians were quite surprised when some people told that they have seen three children walking a 10 kilometre march as punishment unattended by any adults. Later investigation did show that beside the use of march as punishment also rude language and cold washing were among the treatment these children from age 4 were exposed to.

During the summer our politicans have been around the institution several times and it has been their conclusion that nothing could be done to improve the conditions with the current management in charge. So they finally rewoked the licence. Perhaps the children would now face some good in the future.
