So my modest question is: Why do you deny relationship with this program?

I know that a family program has a very little chance of succes regardless of the fact, that such a program properly is the best solution for 70 % of the families and 100% better for the children because abuse is very diffifult to do when the parents are in the eyesight of the child.

Yes the risk of failure is very high due to the fact that most parents would bail out when the situation become harsh and someone starts to be hungry and dirty. No one wants to be in the wilderness under similar conditions as the adolecents - accept that. They are only there because they are forced there.

Be honest. Tell the world that you have tried. It is well documented both by you and Anasazi (Spoiler: BC4 has not been aired, but at least one of the children made it home unchanged and now they can not force her back.).

If we alter the punishment from death to banishment, is it not something, we have seen in other places? Even in your own country? In your own home?

The last remaining boot camp - not closed because the children "volenteer" to be there - has been portraited in a Danish magazine.

I have found the homepage. It states very clear that the children must apply to stay there. But how voluntary is it?

In article a girl has told the instructors that she needs to phone her mom or she would kill herself. Of course (It would not happen at WWASP) they let her. Her mother lacks the understanding of the harshness and blame the girls low self-disipline. She tells the poor girl to give the program a chance. The girl breaks down and she continues to struggle. She is as it is mentioned in the article heavily drugged by her family doctor and the camp continues to medicate her during the stay.

Why does the mom react totally out of conduct? Something is to blame on the mandatory parents sessions (Sound familiar to other cults?) If a parents repeatily are tolded by other parents and so-called experts that their child was saved by the program and would have ended up dead without it, they would cave in at some point.

So the poor children have no allies. Those who should look out for it, are brainwashed, so they are on their own.

Of course, some children choose the army after they have been betrayed by the parents. The camp isolates them from society and they would be in a comfort zone at some army like community.

That is another aspect of such a camp. Providing fresh meat to the warzones around the world. But we are talking about children living as soldiers. Is war not an adult thing?

Insurrance companies:

I have a friend scanning various court documents with lawsuit between parents against local school districts, where wwasp and aspen is involved. It had already got some results where ed-con are blaimed for a too close connection to the programs.

I have thought about another aspect. Insurrance companies pays a lot of the treatment. Do they visit the programs, so they can see if they pay for something real?

Over here they are a little moderate spending their money - some would call them greedy.

I can read about a lot of treatment that leads to nothing. Why are they not out there protecting their money by asking for proof and visit the programs?

I was looking for info about Lifesteps and found the document above by acident.

It seems that a lot of people benefit from placing people at TBS regardless of the fact, that there were good local programs in the neighbourhood.

It also seems that education at such places is not exactly up to standard and some of the wilderness therapist is not quite educated up to standard.

I have found several such documents giving me a hint that someone is out there milking the tax-payers wallets.

Information, information and yet more information may throw light on what places, children do not need to be.

WWASP has a very low number of inmates today due to bad publicity. It can be better (They could close the shop), but newspaper, myspace, bebo, livespace etc. works against them so no student should end up isolated thinking that it is a bad dream, they had dreamt for years.

What WWASP don't need is publicity.

With the other major organisation in the business - Aspen Education, it is different. They use television for numerous shows as marketing aimed at both Europe and the States.

Can information brought with heavily edited show be fought with information about the reality?

Well I will use 2007 to see if it is possible. I will update wikipedia with info about facilities and programs.

I have ordered the Book by Abigail Vona and I have read half of it. So Peninsula Village is properly next in line.

However, a lot of these facilities seems to be living very secretly and with almost none complaining about them. Are they that good in the art of Brainwashing?
