Title: HLA on Youtube
Post by: along comes mary on March 06, 2010, 08:31:16 PM
I noticed recently that youtube had some HLA-related videos up at one point, but that they've all been taken down.

Does anyone know why?
Does anyone even know what the content was?

Other TBS videos are still up on youtube, so I'm really curious why there aren't any about HLA.
HLA doesn't even have an informational video available, which also seems really strange.

It seems like HLA doesn't want any videos of the campus be available...
Thoughts?

If the students are in the video they might be worried about a HIPPA violation complaint.

Do you mean HIPAA?
I thought that was regarding health-care providers...
What is the potential relationship between Youtube, HIPAA, and HLA?

Hmmm... There are a plethora of videos of/by students while at the Hyde School, including a few fights... Is it not strange that these videos aren't being regulated by Hyde or HIPAA laws, but videos of or even ABOUT Hidden Lake are???

The Federal Government and State authorities don't browse youtube looking for videos for potential Hippa violations. Someone would actually have to complain about it first for them to take action. Be interesting to see what would happen if someone lodged a complaint with the state of Maine for the Hyde videos.
