The Seed Discussion Forum / seed - deaths - deadly marriage
« on: August 01, 2002, 09:53:00 PM »
Hello C.W.! Long time no see! I remember you quite well from high school. Though I was not a seedling, I lost many friends to the seed. THAT sucked! Bennett was one of the first people I met in school at Bay Point Jr. high. I was sorry to hear that he passed away. Anyways, it's a small world. I ran into Greg and Freedom here by accident while I was surfing one night. I looked up your picture in the ol' yearbook. Just want to say high (haha) to an old classmate and say that I wish the best for you. Do you still live in the area? I still love going to the beach. I remember David Hicks quite well also. What a great guy he was. He will stay alive with the others in everyones collective memories. Greg knows who I am if you are curious about who I am. I am STILL mortified by what in the hell was going on while I was having a normal life in high school! Btw, did you ever go garaging? That was the most fun we ever had in Jr. high!

Take care and I hope to "talk" some more - Scott

Ahoy Greg!

Glad y'all are having a great time! I was thinking about you yesterday and wondered how your vacation was going. Sounds like a blast! I hope you're taking pictures!

How's the surf there?  There's been a steady wind coming off of the Gulf the last few days, so I took in some waves down on St. Pete Beach. Remember where the Aquatarium used to be? That's the spot! Lot's of girls surfing now too.

I hope the rest of your vacation is great and I want a full report upon your return.

p.s. - Soberman lost it! Too funny!

Yes, it is comforting to know that one day this asshole will die and won't be able to harm anymore children.

The rest of his miserable life needs to be made very uncomfortable for him though.

Headline I'd like to see:

Thom - After reading that lengthy diatribe, I have come to the conclusion that if your sister talks to you at all these days, you should get down on your knees and thank your God you've GOT a sister like her.

I wish I did.

"They" do not like people doing drugs, because people that do drugs have open minds. Open minds mean freedom and "they" don't like that."They" want to supress free thought by any means necessary.

"They" scare the shit out of me.

7
They know it's crap. They're desperate because the truth is getting out.

8
I wonder if he put his daughter in a SAFE program? Does anyone know where she is?

9
A couple of more that come to mind:

The war on hunger - Still plenty of hungry people.
The war on poverty - still plenty of poor people.

I've been watching these drugs=terrorism commercials. What a crop of crap. The pot calls the kettle black!

2 years ago we gave $43.2 million dollars to the Taliban in Afghanistan to halt poppy production. Guess what? They grew more of it, and used the money to fight us and help pay for 9-11! That atrocity only cost the terrorists $500,000. Plenty left over.

I won't even get into the Iran-Contra scandal.

Last year the head of our govt task force against terrorism and drugs in Columbia got caught along with his wife mailing themselves kilo's of coke back to the U.S.

Same as it ever was. Sad.

john -fartoogone is not correct. If the victims remained silent and moved on with their lives, These child-abusers have already won, and more victims are easier to obtain. Discussion boards that allow victims to vent their past, are a great learning tool for those that know little or nothing about this problem. It's all about educating the sheeple. I question your reasons for stifling the truth. Brainwashing is a terrible thing.

yes, that is sad about Jim. I remember that he was quite popular, but not in a jock or brain kind of way, just friendly.

Can you lead me to that Lakewood discussion board? Sounds interesting.

Very good to hear from you freedom (great screen name, btw)!

Greg - Whoever this person is, he/she could be experiencing guilt and shame. Or maybe he/she is reaching out because they're possibly still in denial about something that's happened to them in the past.

Hello Frieda!  Long time no see!

I found this sight while surfing Drug Policy Forum of Florida. Stephen Heath wrote an excellent article in the St. Petersburg Times on I think, May 6th, rebutting John Walters Reefer Madness article a week previous.

I have the highest respect for anyone that's involved fighting this war on drugs. I also have the highest respect for survivors of places like the Seed and Straight, that are coming forward now with their own private horror stories of the war.

Someone asked me once if I was a veteran, and my response was yes, of the Drug War.

I knew Jim Gaskins in high school! He was a very funny guy! What happened to him? I am sad to hear he is no longer here.

Drug Free America Foundation had an office near my home in St. Petersburg. Key word HAD.
It used to really bother me to see that place, so every once in awhile I would send them an eviction notice, or a High Times Magazine. Sometimes I would just cut out articles about drug war victims and mail them those. Gee, I hope they didn't mind.lol

I want to be that itch in their back that they just can't seem to reach. I'm not sure where they've gone, but I'll find 'em. I'm just glad they got the hell out of my neighborhood.

I bought a pack of rolling papers recently from a convenience store and the clerk was wearing a D.A.R.E. hat. I didn't say a word.
I shoulda took a picture of him though, because he looked like one hell of a loser.

After "talking" with Greg, I looked through all my Lakewood High yearbooks. I smiled when I saw your picture, because I remember you very well. Didn't we have Social Studies class together with Mr. Carlos Owens?

Even though I wasn't sent to the seed, it affected me greatly because I knew even back then that something wasn't right with it. I lost many friends. I can still remember one friend (Barry) in my Driver's Ed class that begged me not to talk to him, so he wouldn't be sent back. I never blamed the seedlings. I blamed the seed.

I hope to hear more from you about anything at all. I'm trying to remember the girls that you hung out w/ in high school before the seed. My high school years were some of the best years of my life. It's very sad that that experience was taken away from some, by a few very mean-spirited people.

I was in a religious group in high school called Young Life. Do you remember?

I NEVER expected to run into people I knew from high school on the internet, but I am very glad I did!

I salute everyone here at this site, and may all your future endeavors be fruitful ones.
