Let It Bleed / Need another guitar slide...
« on: February 01, 2011, 02:22:39 PM »
ok seamus (and anyone else who's ever played some slide guitar), after listening to the likes of guitar virtuosos like Leadbelly, Elmore James, Blind Willie Johnson, etc., I know i have to go and get myself another slide for guitar playing. The kind I am going to look for is one of those old steel slides like i used to have (and lost like i 've lost all my other slides over the years). I had a ceramic slide that was ok, but that one just didn't have the twang that the old metal kind has... A broken bottle-neck has worked in a pinch, but I'd rather get a metal one like i used to have (at least no one will bleed that way.)

Open Free for All / Introduction
« on: January 23, 2011, 11:38:16 PM »
The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

Stupid question:

Aside from AARC (in Canada) and Teen Challenge, are there any other derivatives of Straight Inc. in operation right now?

A friend of mine was asking, and I want to provide an adequate answer..... thanks!

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Woe to the Scribes and Semblerites
« on: January 13, 2011, 06:33:28 PM »
Woe to you, teachers of the moral inventory and Semblerites, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Feed Your Head / Bewilderment and Boredom
« on: January 13, 2011, 12:16:34 PM »
As you'll learn when you read The Underground History of American Education the new purpose of schooling—to serve business and government—could only be achieved efficiently by isolating children from the real world, with adults who themselves were isolated from the real world, and everyone in the confinement isolated from one another.

Only then could the necessary training in boredom and bewilderment begin. Such training is necessary to produce dependable consumers and dependent citizens who would always look for a teacher to tell them what to do in later life, even if that teacher was an ad man or television anchor.

The rationale, history, and dynamics of "Fourth Purpose" school procedure are carefully examined in The Underground History of American Education.

Tacitus' Realm / Review:Jesse Ventura:Global Warming Conspiracy Theory
« on: January 11, 2011, 11:54:29 AM »

In his "Conspiracy Theory" series, movie star, professional wrestler, former Navy SEAL and former Minnesota governor, Jesse Ventura and his team take on Global Warming.

His group of researchers appear to start out as "believers" in man-caused global warming, but in the course of investigating the topic they come to a very different conclusion – one they would have abhorred at the outset.

First, they point out that there is a significant scientific body of evidence that global mean temperatures have actually been decreasing in recent years. Second, the primary driver by far for earth temperatures is the sun and sun spot cycles.

The most chilling aspect is that the earliest pioneers of the global warming argument have been promoting it for political purposes of having a reason to push the world toward a global dictatorship by the name of the New World Order. Some of the key proponents of global warming, such as Maurice Strong (and Al Gore), have profited hugely (multi-billions of dollars) from their involvement in economic kickbacks from things such as cap and trade.

Back in the early 1990's, I interviewed George Hunt, who is featured in Ventura's segment. He is a fellow Boulder Coloradoan, and he snuck into a globalist meeting in Denver, and caught the conspirators on tape planning to use global warming pitted against industry, out of which would come their "synthesis" of a New World Order. I heard a recording of Maurice Strong referring to the common people of the world as mere "cannon fodder." I think I still have that audio tape in a box in my basement somewhere.

I would take exception with Jesse when it comes to Al Gore. I do not believe Al doesn't know what he's doing; but I see him as a very knowledgeable insider promoting the agenda of the New World Order, becoming the darling poster child for pushing the global warming perception and painting humans as enemies of the planet.

Jesse has been friends with Al, and seemed loath to come to the conclusion that Al might be part of the NWO cabal that he unveiled in this segment.

"A lot of people who preach the global warming gospel are not out to save the world, they're out to run it." -- Jesse Ventura

Tacitus' Realm / Look who else put 'bull's-eye' on Giffords

Quote
Shortly after news broke of the attempted murder of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., the left-leaning blog Daily Kos was swift to scrub its post from a Tucson writer explaining how the congresswoman was now "dead to me."

One of the blog's diary writers, identifying himself as BoyBlue, had written a post only two days before the shooting titled "My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!"

Tacitus' Realm / Liberal Elitism
« on: January 11, 2011, 10:03:52 AM »
Their reaction to this specific incident, however, should also be viewed in the context of how modern liberals view human beings.

To them, people are largely ignorant, impulsive and malleable, and not only require guidance from more enlightened souls – namely, themselves -- but must also be shielded from circumstances, people or points of view that the enlightened ones have deemed dangerous or unworthy.  All of this, of course, is done for the benefit of the less fortunate.

This elitist perspective toward people is cloaked in benevolence but is in fact condescending and authoritarian in tone and practice. What they are saying, in effect, is that we are incapable of taking responsibility for ourselves, or being held accountable for our actions, and therefore they must take the reins.

The same mindset that declares a deranged shooter the “victim” of a toxic political climate believes that classic literature should be censored to protect us from insensitive language, talk radio ought to be regulated to ensure “fairness”, people of faith should be banned from the airwaves for “hate” speech, and illegal aliens ought to be called “undocumented workers” instead because the truth is too harsh.

You can almost hear your mother or father lecturing you, saying “It’s for your own good.”

I call it the infantilization of America.

Infants aren’t capable of reason or thought, but instead react based on instinct, feelings and desires. Infants are self-absorbed and unpredictable. Infants can’t fend for themselves.

In short, infants can’t be trusted with liberty or self-governance.

-Ron Miller

Don't laugh, but I am disappointed that you deleted the post you made earlier! Despite the fact that you ragged on the very documentary I'm co-producing, and despite what anyone says about the law suit you want(ed) to get going, you are a survivor and deserve to be heard even if your lawsuit was / is a stupid idea (I'm not so sure myself), like people say. I don't care about that so much (I'll leave that to you and the experts.) What I do care about is that post you made today. You made a lot of relevant comments about Straight in your post. I wish it were still here for people to read! When I saw that post was gone, I wished that I had quoted it! That stuff about human trafficking and slavery was dead-on! Please consider re-posting what you posted earlier (or something like it)...thanks.

Tacitus' Realm / Eco-nazis keep the bullshit going
« on: January 08, 2011, 02:35:21 PM »
So let's cut to the chase about how Americans are being raped with oil and gas prices..

What is the real reason that we can't drill for oil?

I suspect these asshole eco-groups are acting in cahoots with Saudi Arabia, who are all too happy about restrictions being imposed on the US.

If you're at all behind this sort of thing, or think it's good for some reason -- FUCK YOU!!!!!    :twofinger:
