Open Free for All / good bye for a while
« on: October 15, 2010, 01:07:57 PM »
I would like to take this oppertunity to say good bye and thank you to all who have made me feel welcomed here, even to those I've argued with, I will miss our banter.Ive never brought up my health issues here before
because as far as fornits goes, my health is really a non issue. But I'm off again to the hospital. Post surgical infection. 3rd time.  It is because of my health I've spent so much time here.If I still had a real life I could never spend as much time on the internet as I do.Again thanx to everybody, and this will be the first place I check in when I get home.

Open Free for All / an outsiders view
« on: October 10, 2010, 03:17:28 PM »
I't seems to to me that of all the programs i've read about here,(and I've learned a lot) is that the people from Elan are something quite different from survivors from other programs. They will not hesitate to attack each other. But by the same token they also won't hesitate to defend each other.Nobody can get under their skin like another Elander(?) But yet there is almost an affection between them. Their shared hell has formed a bond not unlike family. Iv'e known families that constantly fight  with each other, but you don't
want to get caught a the middle of it. Though Iv'e never even known anyone from there,(that I know of) I'm trying to imagine the mind fuck it would take to forge that kind of bond. Even if it takes an outsider to see it, it's there

The Troubled Teen Industry / oldcommers
« on: October 09, 2010, 06:34:07 PM »
I wasn't really sure where to ask this question.I'm not sure how many programs other than the seed and Str8
useed "host" families or oldcommers to house residents. Has anyone ever contacted your old commer after a long time? Did they acknowledge you? I recently found mine (just contact info) and I'm not sure how to approach him.I lived with his family for 3 months. I wonder If his wife and kids even know he once belonged to a cult. Here's a can of worms to chew on, How do I approach this guy?

Open Free for All / people who argue with the fake Danny
« on: October 08, 2010, 02:02:27 AM »
You think you're accomplishing something, but you're not. All it takes is a little more than a chimpanzie like attention to detail to look at his avatar. The rest of you just playing along, you are playing into the real Danny's hand. You give deniability to everything you've ever quoted him on.He just gets to sit back and say"you dumb fucks. That wasn't me"!!

Open Free for All / To the real DannyB
« on: October 07, 2010, 11:56:45 AM »
Dude, If I'm reading this shit correctly now, you have a bunch of people quoting you and the Qute credit does not heve your roman numeral for 2{I answered the other asshole by mistake once}.I don't get it . The guy  goes through all this effort to troll you, yet can't come up with a better "nam de plume".
I won't fall for that again. Just another hack writter with nothing better to do.

Open Free for All / kids today vs. kids yesterday
« on: October 04, 2010, 05:54:29 PM »
I think back to the my program days, and the kids Inew back then, and I have to think damn we were pretty tame compared to kids these days. The only people I knew that were strrung out on hard drugs were older than me and got hooked while in viet nam. Now days it's nothing for some kids to go on a spree of smoking meth stealing cars and leading the cops on high speed chases. If I would have done some shit like that back in the 70's, I'd probably still be in jail. Do we just expect less of kids today, or is the world that much more extreme? Does each generation lower the bar another notch? It just seems compared to kids today, we were all little angels.
