Title: How the net handles censorship
Post by: Antigen on April 12, 2002, 10:51:00 AM
Good golly, Miss Molly! The lengths these cults will go to to protect their secrets!

Back when Congress, being true-to-form the antithesis of progress, tried to ban all kinds of communication on the net with the "Communications Decency Act", one insightful policy wonk noted that the net will respond to censorship like damage and route around it. Fortunately, the Supreme Court unanimously overturned that bit of political chicanery right away.

So, here we are. Dean doesn't like what some of his former clients have to say about his program. Woops! Gotta run. Jojo's all upset because Heather keeps telling her she's short...... (as de dawg chases his tail)

Because AARC contacted EZboard claiming that by typing the word "AARC" I have used their logo and therfore violated copyright laws, which is actually a pile of shit. Either way places like EZboard don't want to mess with it, so viola, we are now here! The death threats that an AARC member had up on the old board were attracting a lot of attention and they panicked. I also have another temp one up and a chat room at http://www.network54/Realm/velvet2000 (http://www.network54/Realm/velvet2000)

It's not crucial to me, but it's lots of fun if you click on the "No thanks" button instead of the "Enter" one : )
