How much longer will we sit here twiddling our thumbs, waiting for the "Facebook crowd" to check in here? I'm not on Facebook right now, so I don't know if anyone on there cares. Facebook is a circle-jerk of approval and status. Is Fornits doomed to obscurity in the face of facebook? Does anybody 'LIKE' the idea of revitalizing this site besides the few who have put forth recent efforts?

My hope is that we can simply restore the conversation as it was taking place here on fornits, some years back.  I am not too impressed with the dialogue on Fb, which is full of unoriginal ideas, memes, other shallow bullshit and is essentially a submissive-authroitarian wet dream.  I'm not twiddlin my thumbs waiting to turn fornits into Fb.  Fornits is better because I think a certain level of anonymity, helps keep the conversation honest, or closer to it anyway, and yet there can also be continuity in conversation, as long as there is a user name to identify fornits posters with.

We might have to come to some definition for the term "program", because while you may be equating all institutionalized persuasion with the program, when I refer to the phrase, "the program" I am only referring to that ritual, or institutionalized persuasion, which indoctrinates and sustains the submissive-authoritarian consciousness.

Last night while I was talkin on the phone I watched a miller maggot crawl over my head across the ceiling.  Submissive-Authoritarian slavery, behavior modification, so it is ... and why doesn't it stop ??  It is as Straight said.  We must do more than simply put a patch over the blood.  The core of the disease is deep, in the roots, in the soil and the water and the very air these days... There was a meaningful conversation here once, worth having, but it has devolved into a Submissive-Authoritarian dream on Facebook.  The internet divides us as it informs us and we trust each other and everything the less for it.  We live indirectly and love does not come through... like it should.  We are bein channelled into the illusions of freedom and responsibility, but we are more the slaves for it.  Don't be fooled by appearances and the seductions of social prestige ... We were in Straight.  We know the better for it. 

The ones who were in Straight were shown the nature of the beast, but when they get out they are fooled back into group by their t.v.s and their democracy.

Straight was always just a microcosm of the macro group anyway ... it all works the same way, except in Straight the soft and pretty dressings were stripped from the dynamic.  If anyone should know better it should be the Straight survivors, who have been to hell and back, but alas we are as sold out as anyone.  The economy itself is a behavior modification program and the more you participate in it, the more money you put in the bank, and the more indirectly you live, the more you become what Straight wanted you to be anyway.  The program was never limited to the simple confines of Straight Inc.  It is the American way.

The trouble is there is really no escape.  One individual seeking justice and living outside the program hardly has a chance without a social group to draw on for support and the things that people need to live.  I've thought about living as a wanderer in the woods, existing by foraging, but I am a social animal and need companionship and love and I think the loneliness would be too brutal, to say the least.  It's a tough pill to swallow, but I think that one must learn to make compromises with the program, without becoming oneself, a submissive-authoritarian fool.   

I'm afraid that this indirect life is not working very well for me.  I have a deep sense of loss over the skills I have never been taught and could not make up for, at least to this point, on my own.  I feel my ancestors within me when I am digging in the Earth and rooting up the lilacs to transplant and making room for more squash and corn and beans.  I hold the diggin bar in one hand and a shovel rests against the crook in the lilac on it's own.  I squat down to reach into the earth I'm diggin to pull out this or that of my way, still with the diggin bar in hand ... and as I'm reaching down into the Earth I have a vision of myself as ageless and unnamed.  I am the man of the Earth, searchin to survive.  I hold the tools to live by in my hands and put my back to the world.  I am the savage, the beast reborn.  I carry fire and eat submissive-authoritarians when I can.

Yeah FB sucks !!

I tried unpluggin it and then pluggin it back in too, but that was just as unsuccessful.  (shakin my head)
