I read a little about their drummer.  I'm certain he is an attention whore.  That would be somethin' he has in common with Michael Jackson.

Yeah the video worked for me today, September 4.  Give it another shot.

I noticed Bradbury was called "irrational".  I was hoping the story would continue on to where Richard could say something like "If I am irrational, who do you think caused me to be irrational?"

and all the inmates will be ultra hott females & show lots of good scenes from the "phaser room".

I saw that picture too.  He's deciding whether to brutally misbehave and get thrown on the floor or just go jello.  Whatever it is, his main wish is to cop out.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Troubledteen.com questionnaire
« on: July 18, 2003, 12:10:00 PM »
So now they incorporate political beliefs into whether or not you're a screwed up kid.  The Spiritual part of the questionnaire asks about our stance on legalizing marijuana and abortion.  Thanks to my political beliefs, I'm only 15% Spiritually healthy according to them.  Plus, not attending church once a week helped bury my Spiritual score.

I noticed in the physical part that they want to tip the scales against the kid by bringing their weight problem into it.  I guess you get marks against ya for not drinking 6-8 glasses of water per day and not waking up to an alarm clock.  I scored 53% in the Physical part, and that's just bologna.

Yeah, gravity plus we don't have replicator technology.  Manual production is a bitch.

Most of my partners in Pas de Deux class are age 15.  So, they were born in 1988, while I was in Straight.  I was 15 when I was in Straight.  While those classes are in progress, thoughts of me at age 15 never cross my mind, but afterwards it does feel like I'm repairing my own personal age 15 by being involved in their age 15.  It's like I discovered a whole culture of people who are not so distant from the culture I lived in before Straight, and I can participate in this instead of something hellish.  Of course, they'll never hear the story of me at age 15.

Fister?  I don't even know her.

Most of what's being said about staying after age 18 is in the ballpark of what I meant by "staff/family induced fear".  You leave the program on 4th or 5th phase, can't find stability out there your first few days, so you get in contact with family then they stick ya back in Straight.  They (staff/family) basically use your brief experience with instability to get you back in.  It happened to me too when I left after only 1 week on 2nd phase.  I was gone for 2 or 3 weeks.  I came home then wound up back in Straight.

I wasn't sure whether or not to call this an effect of brainwashing because on one hand, it is an escaped client seeking stability, which is normal.  On the other hand, it's the lack of ability to find stability after age 18 for someone still in such a program, which isn't normal.  What I really meant by severely brainwashed was people like those 20 year devotees like the ones Ginger was talking about.

Those who wound up staying after age 18 were either court ordered or lied to and convinced they were court ordered to stay until program completion.  Plus, there's that sector of severely brainwashed devotees who willingly stay, and those who remain there out of some sort of family/staff induced fear.

This story is a major example of how we are all different, while those programs attempt to force us to respond identically to their methods.

I was stealing cars and got out in 9 months.  I had a normal life after I got my own car, but I actually committed crimes before going to Straight.  So, everything I did was obvious.  Regarding Lulu... we don't even know if she really did drugs, yet she was there 13 years.

I've seen that video.  I understand that it's about hammering a new false identity into someone's head, but is there a significance to us ex-clients beyond that?

Why is the audience laughing in the beginning live stage version of it?

yeah "don't call on me" reminds me of times I would barely wave my wrists right by my ears
