haha! this is why i laugh - you fuckers got to re-entry and you still pretened like theres something to cry about. I was shotdown the minute I walked in the door, and shotdown when I left - with a lot of corner time in between... Am I complaining or crying? Elan was easy, like a vacation or a summer camp; but they didn't even get close to my head, not once; I just waited out my short-time and left...

I don't really feel any need to have 'intelligent discourse' with these tools of elan. In my opinion, you can't follow blindly the program while you were in it, and then critisize and bitch about it when you leave. If you disagreed with it soooo fucking much, why didn't you fight it every day you were inside?
That is why I tell you I am intellectually superior - because I fought the program, resisted it, beat it to dust - and it holds no sway over me, whether I am inside it or outside.

I've met many people like you, or close enough to it. My 'street smarts' gives me a certain clarity of perception on the matter of your breed. I don't care that you suffer from weakness of the mind, I don't mind what you say, I don't expect great things of you or believe your life is all that full. I am however, still amazed that your breed has survived for so long after elan. I was positive that you would all die of overdoses or stab wounds, or be incarcerated in jails or prisons. Many; I was assured would be dosed up on enough medication that would prevent them from getting up to urinate, let alone use a computer, forcing them into homeless shelters or institutions for the mentally handicapped. You however, truly surprise me, almost interest me. How did you survive so long while the rest of your breed became extinct? It is very puzzling to me, maybe it is my inherent stupidity that keeps me from seeing the faint glimmer of existence that is you.

my worst would had to of been on an sp. This kid Armand i think his name was, was allways acting nutz. Since he did seem crazy he eventually was released into a mental hospital from elan. This kid every time he was in the corner would piss himself shit himself, sculpt it, but the staff kept having us watch him. One thing (sidenote) inever understood was how could they make us as minors and as in mates patients whatever we were classified as restrain our peers. To this day i dont know how that was legal. But i digress. Most all of us refused to sp the kid and were shot down for refusing. He was bad and made hell worse. Maybe thats not the worst part of my stay, but its what first popped into my head.

I remember Armond. I also remember his partner in crime, Charles. While they were @ Elan 8, they did everything in their power to get themselves kicked out, and they managed to succeed. They were both absolutely fucking disgusting!!!! I felt bad for the chief at the time.

If *everyone* in elan had done exactly what Armand + Charles did, how would the staff manage to keep any semblance of order? The chief was effectively acting as a quasi-staff member, supporting the system of abuse most of you claim to hate?!?! If the chief (and the expeditors, coordinators, etc...) had acted out as well, the order would have collapsed quickly, and many of us would not be here today... it takes strong people to collapse a system and weak people to participate as cogs in the machine. Thus is my final and only point of contention - I did not mean to offend or insult anyone else here, and for that, I am sorry. I am here to insult the elan staff.

Arman bit me once when I was on his SP. It was hell SPing him.
Now Rich Iavarone, on the other hand, was funny as hell. Rob Page-Auger and I always used to laugh at his impersonations when we were on his SP and people would get mad at us and say, "STOP FEEDING IN!" I would be like, "OK, you try SPing this kid with a straight face."
Armon was also Joe Ricci's nephew. He didn't get off light because of it though. They put him on the phone with Joe and the guy basically threatened to beat the shit out of him in front of the entire school.

I was in 4,place was a dump

4 over in Waterford use to go over there from poland springs and pull night duty.(in 74)
it had alarms on the doors and windows I don't think they worked.
Most of the people there at the time were from rhode Island sent there by the state.director was McCann,a cross eyed sicko use to smile when he was gouging peoples pressure points,a true whack job.
they ,elan, moved all or most of those people in 4 to parsonsfield, at the time poland springs was filling up with people 125 0r more.
4 became 6 were you in 4 0r 6? I was there(in that hell hole elan) from 74 to 76 almost 30 years ago. Saw some nutso stuff go down,its the memories of that crap ,so surreal,could write so many pages about that stuff.
did you know Bob Holt? Split 5 or 6 times from 3 and 6 He was the split king. He is dead now heart gave out walking down the street in Charlottesville Va.couple of years ago Talked to him in 90.

Hi Matt,I was in the Parsonsfield E-4 in 82,I remember a lot of horror stories about the first Parsonsfield house and that f-d up iron incident in 2a during your time. Our parsonsfield house was also closed down due to corruption,lack of staff control. We drove J.Gottlieb nuts.I was full co of exp when the house was shut down.

How nuts did Gottlieb go back in the earlier days? I remember his entire head would lare up red asa tomatoe and spit flying from his mouth as he screamed and yelled at the kids. This man is bound to have a heart attack one of these days.

I was in Elan 4 and 2A from 1978 to 1981. The kids did take over E 2A. A bunch of guys beat the night owl with a hot iron, then went to the girls dorm down the path and kiddnapped the night woman.About 6 got away. It was crazy.There was state police all over. A ALL HOUSE GENARL MEETING was called in Poland.ALL HOUSES went TIGHT. Elan 2A was closed down. :eek:

Elan 4 was the worst of all the houses . I was therefrom 1978 to 1981. Peter Mccann was dir and Joe Rod. Later it was Mark Rosenburg. It was a living HELL 24 7. Elan 4 was a locked house. The windows didnt even open. No one ran from there and ever got a away. NEVER. Even the thought of having EYES for someone got you a Genarl Meeting. Anybody want to hear stories about back in the day I have tons. I was in most of the houses. Elan 8 was just getting done when I went AWOL from Elan 6. I got AWAY. There really is a God.

Peter was sick. I wae there in 78. The real PARSONSFIELD. A tight house was finding maggots on your bed from a TARROR RUN. They would be doing all this shit while you were sitting in the dinning room putting your cigs in a bag because the house was going Tight. Elan 4 was for hard core kids..Teddy C who was killed for the same reson he was in Elan.Gang. Abby T killed her boyfriend and Terry R she was there for 6 years. Peter had a thing for Nannet W. He would give her a Genarl Meeting then take her in the office for Primal Group. I remember when Tim D set fire to the boys dorms. Mark Rosenburg came after Peter. Mark came from Elan 5 and with him he brought Bruce Wyderman. Two real sick fucks. While at Elan 2A we would have to walk down the road to Elan 6 for our meals. Dave Dyer was Dir of Elan 2A. Alice Dunn of Elan6. Elan 2A was the smallest of the houses, the dorms were seperate from the house. Little shacks with no heat. I would have to say Elan 4 was the worst time of my life. I didnt think it would ever end. They would put other kids from other houses that ran or thought of running in Elan 4. Ill never forget those days. NEVER. Every experince in Elan 4,2A,and 6 were bad. :scared: :scared:

I agree with the person, Peter McCann was one crosseyed and in my opinion a very sadistic individual. I saw him in action many times.
If people who post on this board talk about the their experiences and what they witnessed happen to other people, I think that will cause more people to come forward and will give this board a little more credibility.
All former residents must remember that the abuse that happened to us at the hands of our fellow brothers and sisters is not their fault. We need not point the finger at them. We need to forgive them and put the blame where it squarely belongs. The hell hole that is /was elan and the henchmen that ran that place.
There were very few people that I did not like in elan. The ones that I did not like I did not hang out with.The ones that I liked that participated in my horrific shotdown ,well they had to do the stuff they did because they were also caught up in the unfortunate reality that they were in elan.
It is the people that ran that oxymoron of a treatment center I take great issue with.
Therefor please post on with your true and dare to believe stories of what you saw and witnessed and stop with the lame cream puff wars that erupt on this board every so often.
