Title: Former Benchmarkian
Post by: Buddha22 on November 01, 2007, 12:19:26 AM
The reason why i repost my message because the benchmark forum did not get any love for a year.

My name is james, and i want to tell you a short story of my account a benchmark school.
just to sum it up, i told the story many times,

1. got to benchmark school
2. played their game
3. bad xmas break
4. work ethic
5. tramatic experience with staff and students
6. cut myself
7. thinking of commiting suicide
8. got External time out
9. cut myself more alone in a cockroach motel
10. went to a much better treatment center
11. found out i had PTSD
12. found out I had cronic situational induced depression
13. found out I had a panic/anxiety distorder.
14. never forget those days + flashbacks occur often

I love this school! its a fucking dream:)

I was there 2002-2003. maybe i was the one PSY was talking about in his webpage. I recently sent a letter to the to city of Loma Linda administration, and the sheriff department for convincing them to investigate the bencmark program, hope it goes through tho

I want to speak against tough love programs. but how can I? I dont want to but I NEED to be invovled! I want to see the evil doers in handcuffs and i wont stop until I do.

Hey James, welcome back!

Best thing you could do would be to write your statement and get it to the GAO and send a copy to the House Education and Labor Committee.  Psy can help ya out with the fax and email numbers, they are also posted on this forum under the GAO threads.

Thanks for your post.  Appreciate the effort very much and hope you will continue to post.  Your voice is important and needs to be added with the other survivor statements.

thank you for the warm welcome. I just need some time to get use to this board. Also I want to get to know psy a little bit more since he has been to the same program as I.

Where are the GAO threads exactly located?

Let me guess: you tried and tell your parents what went on at Benchmark and got "consequenced"?  Same happened to me.

Well, congratulations on getting the authorities involved. It's too bad kids out of program don't get reputable help from doctors and advocates, afterwards, in a consistant manner
