hey withdraw - I hear ya man.  I went to the st pete filming last weekend.  It was emotionally draining; I only fought for 37 days, not my entire time in the program.   So I can only imagine what yo uwent thru. Wish I had the balls to fight until I was kicked out.  I would encourage you to go.  You don't even have to do the interview if you don't want to.  The people you will be with will be wonderful and they will have your back . . .the film director and his staff are amazing, very compassionate and professional.   Take a chance . . .I thought that if I could do the interview adn maybe help persuade a parent to not put their kid in a program or maybe evne influence legislation to end these child abuse/mind rape mills, then my time in straight will have been worth it.

I know I'm not a Straightster, but I am so excited about this project! So thankful you all participated, because even though it is specific to Straight, it will be helpful and illuminating for all.

Actully, the technical term is "straightling" . . .hahaha!

two words . . .amazing and fun!   I got down to the boat about 3 pm on Friday.  I took off from work early cause I was so stoked to see my friends and meet the folks from Tallahassee that are producing the movie.    It was great seeing my old friends adn making new ones too.   My interview was scheduled for Saturday morning . . .spent maybe 45 minutes answering questions and discussing straight.    No pressure from the Director or any of the film staff.   These folks from FSU are very professional and knew what they were doing.   As an FSU supporter, it delights me to participate as a survivor but also as an alum.
Y'all this is gonna be big and if any survivors, sibs, want to participate, please contact someone involved and I'm sure you will be included.    It was made clear to me that I was in-charge of my interview  and I could answer any questions I felt comfortable with.    Take a chance, I doubt anyone will regret it.

Ok, 2 words on neglect . . . Jock Itch.   St. Pete (Morgan Yacht bulding) summer of 1979.  It was hot as hell and we were crammed into group like sardines in a can.   I remember myself and many others had a real bad case of Jock Itch.  MIne in particular went from my belly button down to just above my knees.   I remember the itch, omg, it was so bad and it hurt and stunk as the flesh was rotting from my legs and stomach.  I remember also peeling shreds of skin off trying to remove dead skin so I could try and appy medication.   It was so raw I remember holding back the tears as I would put the medication on my rash.   I think what finally made it go away was the change in tempature.  In the summer, I was always wet from sweat so I never had time to dry off and heal up.

Hey botched . . .you live in Palm Harbor?   I live in Z-hills.  I have other "straightling" buddies that live near you.  Maybe we should meet for beers one day and botch up our programming a bit more?  :)

Hey, I live down this way too now.   Include me!  After we go fuck with Newton some, let's go see Helen "cunt' Petermann.  I'm sure she will be glad to sit down with some cookies and milk and listen to ur concerns.

I totally understand you and your situation regarding the DUI (not the female leaving).   It has been almost 3 years since my DUI.  So far the thing has cost me one job and limits me from applying for certain positions offered by the state/local govts.   But, I started a new job recently and while it is not my dream job, it is providing me with steady income.

When I was arrested, my wife was totally pissed at me and for good reason.   But, she did not leave thankfully.   I don't know if I coulda held on without her.   Most employers seem to only care for about 3 - 5 years.   I know as you live month to month, that sounds like an incredibly long time (and it is).   I recently went almost 8 months without income, with 6 previous months of steady employment, followed by another previous 9 months of no income.  So by the time I got this job, I was darn near penniless.

All I can offer is keep doing what you are doing.   Apply for jobs and use this as a life changing experience.   Believe me, the DUI was a life changing experience as I no longer drink and drive.   Not sure what other things to offer, except it will get better.  And, if you have to ask for help from family, I recommend you do it.   And as far as your fiance, maybe as was stated before, you are better off without her.   If you think it hurts to lose her now, think about how it will be after you get married adn you have a contract (marriage license).   Keep your chin up and keep pounding the pavement or internet for that matter.
