Hey Woof, where do you  think Dave McA developed such skill? He was my newcomer for a couple of months before you got him, that big bastard!Brian Waller, poor guy had an IQ of maybe 70,definitely had a lot of deformities and never even seen a joint, let alone smoke one.I remember his first day,all crooked over, eyes bulging out never saying a word away from the mike for his first month.Poor bastard, they convinced him he was a huffer because he got a rush from his nebulizer.Stronger than he looked, though, saw him do five one-armed pushups in a row.

Liz came back after Miller left.Scotty, her father joined staff in St.Pete and Liz was exec staff as well.Dave McAdams was exec staff as well. This was,I believe,in 1987.I ran into John Legge then, although he and Mary Collett were no longer an item.Jeff Coakley told me Liz and Steve called it quits five years ago, which saddens me because I liked them both.Thinking about worst staff makes me think of Mike McCann.I don't know if he ever left trainee(don't know if he qualifies for this string). He was just too nice a person to be a very effective staff member.Another interesting choice for staff office was Marci Moore.Never went through Straight.Never went through the Seed.Never went to college. Her qualifications were having a brother who went through the Seed. She was on Senior Staff when I was on Day 1.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Wanda Minton(Copeland)

Her last name was Copeland when her mother,Jean, wanted her to go by that surname.Wanda and Nancy Minton,I believe are full sisters, but for some reason, she entered Straight and assisted at my intake using that surname.Imagine her being the first thing you saw before going into group!Could only get better from there!LOL!!!!
Peace and Love!!!80 day 1st Phase!

      PS
If Wanda went out that way,as the Scriptures say,¨As you reap,so shall you sow!¨.
Malcolm X was not sad when the rooster comes home to roost and neither am I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never met Mr.Fager and I really don´t have any intentions.I have information that sheds light on many of his allegations during his investigation,quasi-witchhunt.If you are as bright as you want people to think you are, leave sexual innuendo out of your postings. You´re showing everybody your true capacities.
My defending Mike Sherman comes not from intimacies but from knowing first hand what violence is.I knew Mike well enough to say that he was probably one of the least violent people I knew. For the record,if I was a ¨nazi¨,the only people I would put in the camps would be professional victims and vindictive idiots like yourself. Please consider skydiving without a chute.Might be the most decent thing you´ve ever done!

I really appreciate your postings.Remember a couple of things,Straight was in its infancy when I was there(I never heard of Miller Newton, thank whoever!).They had some altruistic aims as The ICATS interviews with founders who resigned after the 1st year can vouch for.A lot of the insanity many of you speak of did not happen to me,maybe because the power machine wasn´t in place yet,to protect things.Jimmy Carter was President when I was there. So it wasn´t nice, but ,for me,it wasn´t hell. However, this forum is helping me greatly in getting in touch with my true feelings towards my situation back then.Thank you for everything!
      Love and Peace!

Squirrel, your posting was by far and away, the best posting I read yet.I'm starting to realize why I don't feel the same hostility towards those idiots at Straight as the others.I WANTED to be there! My mother was married to a bullying tyrant who nobody could contradict under any circumstances. He was one of those assholes who didn't care if was in the right, just as long as he was in charge. They had to commit me somewhere as I started to run away. The more independent one came, the further they had to get away from him.So as messed up as it was(and it WAS messed up),at least had some arbitration power in dealing with him.Having children of my own opened up my eyes in so many ways.I experienced the most severe moodswings after my daughter was born. All this time,I thought it was women who were supposed to experience post-partum.I couldn't cope with the emotion of deeply felt joy.Everytime I felt myself wanting to love my infant daughter, some kind of rage would well up in me.It was time to confront my past for real,if not for my sake, for hers.In my case, liking Straight because it was better than home,is more messed up than blaming Straight for everything. When that was my best time, imagine my worst.

Edith Aldridge was married to Barry Nelson and living in Clearwater,FL. during the 1980's.Where anybody is at is a mystery to me these days.

That´s a visual!5´4¨ and 140 lbs Mike Sherman strangling somebody to death.Did Mike have some martial arts training from some secret society? Why don´t you get a life?Mike never strangled any body in group and Mel Sembler did not have Jerry Vancil killed.Stop playing stupid games! If your life is that boring, why don´t you just jump out of a plane without a parachute? That´ll liven things up!!!

For all of those who hate Wanda, let me say as one who knew her better than most,it wasn't completely her fault. As unqualified as the other staff was,she was the least qualified of all time. When a moron is told that they're brilliant, then given a position of authority over others, only disaster can follow.Somebody put the scissors in this idiots hand and told her to run full steam ahead. These are the people responsible for Wanda's actions. Some people saw this ignorant, belligerent fool as a tool for some other aim.Wanda was hardly qualified for a cashier's position in Wal-mart or as a line server at Morrison's Cafeteria. She was probably the last person who should have been making decisions impacting peoples'lives. Then again,I never had the pleasure of meeting Miller Newton nor Dean Mistretta.
