There is an answer to this question if you are willing to look close enough. I have made many observations about the so called "survivors" posting on fornits. The one distinct common denominator in all of them is guilt of committing abuse. For whatever reason they started abusing other kids while they were in a program , and now they feel guilty about it. The only explanation which allows them to self forgive is convincing themselves that programs are evil and brainwashing kids to abuse each other. The truth is these people are sadistic monsters who are looking for an excuse to alleviate their guilt. I was in a program and NEVER once saw a staff member abuse a kid. But I saw plenty of kids abusing other kids, who were usually younger and smaller than they were. Guess who are the only ones who show up on this forum complaining about how 'fucked up they are' from the program? That is why I don't post here, because I know what types of people are posting here and it disgusts me. This is the real answer to this questions of why they are all so mean, but since they labeled themselves as victims ["survivors"], they feel they can do whatever they please to their defined and perceived enemy [programs].

There are many "survivors" who were sent to jail before a program. They learned how to abuse people in jail and continued the abuse cycle.
