Yes that name sounds familiar - You could be right on that one - ALL NAMES sound so familiar - but putting the faces to the name has become a REAL pain in the a** for me!!!!

The Seed Discussion Forum / seed - deaths - deadly marriage

I was 11 and in the Seed in 73 - I followed my brothers and sister Roger Young, Ken Sykes and Jennie - My memory is very faint - too young to take it all in - I had a leg problem back then and had to wear a brace for a few months sitting in group -  When you mention names they sound familiar - but still too young to have taken it all in - I also followed the Seed by being put into Straight -  I am a different person because of those programs - I really wonder where my life would be today without them - better I am sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUCH BETTER

My brother Ken is dead - I rarely talk with my older brother Roger and my sister. -  just too sad!

I do have a great picture of George Ross Shooting a bird in the staff room - What a great example he was! - I will let everyone know where they are - can I post them here? - any suggestions?

When I went into The program in 77 - they did not check the packages - I guess they were more trusting to the parents back then.

We could also smoke so I recieved two cartons of cigarettes along with many sweets...misc clothing - I think I may have even received a record album (Steve Miller)  because we could listen to music back then as well.

I still have a picture my oldcomer took of me holding up one of the presents from the box.  

I also have misc picture from when I was on staff - I even have one of George Ross shooting a bird in the staff room!

Hi Mike....Yes I Do remember you from St. Pete - My memory is quite foggy - it has been so many years and I knew so many people - I have seen a picture or two of you from some of the events you have attended and hosted - sounds like you are doing very well - I sent an e-mail to B Patterson about my life from Straight to know - So as not to repeat myself I can forward that if you would like

I would like to hear more about what you are involded in now

I moved there with my mom (Dorothy) to open the facility - I was not a staff member - I had left staff by then....I was actually working in Marietta at a school for the disabled - I would go to Straight on occasion - but I was trying to put an end to my working association with Straight - I wish I had done that years earlier!!!!!!!

Yes.....I was not staff in Atlanta ....but my mother Dorothy was working at Straignt in Atlanta for approx. I year - I do know that we moved up there and there was a staff member named Charles Pendergrass - I got a job in Marietta while my mother helped to establish Straight Atlanta - was it as bad as the others?
