Open Free for All / When you were in a program....?
« on: October 01, 2010, 03:10:09 PM »
When you were in a program all those years ago, or decades ago (for some of you), did you ever think you'd spend so much time obsessing over that experience on the internet, basically conversing and getting into emotional debates with complete strangers you will never meet? Well a lot of you were in programs before the internet existed, hell many of you were in programs before personal computers even became mainstream. So you probably never thought this would be possible, right? But here you are, all these years later, obsessing over people you don't know and will never meet. Getting upset at people who have nothing to do with you or the program you went to. I can imagine this scared little kid sitting in the program, crying themselves to sleep at night, looking forward to the day when they can get back at programs by arguing about it on something called the internet. It was a vision of the future, and the future is now.

Did you send your parents letters while in the program?
Were you allowed to call home? How did you communicate with them?

Open Free for All / What if fornits was survivors only?
« on: October 01, 2010, 03:02:21 PM »
People here complain a lot about Whooter. Well if you look carefully the person who stalks Whooter day and night is a ex program employee, weighing in at over 250 pounds, the hired program thug, Mr "I sleep with a shotgun under my bed" Dysfunctional "Troll" Junction. The people who out parents and make porn sites about them and claim they are doing the work of the cult here, are people who never even were in a program. The admin here is an adult who went to a treatment center on their own will, and could have walked out at any time. If only survivors of underage youth programs were allowed to post here, all of these problems would be solved instantly. No more Whooter. No more staffers. No more fake survivors who went to treatment as adults. I think it would improve the quality a lot around here, I think we should consider it. Also I think we should require all survivors post the dates of when they were in programs under their username. So when somebody starts claiming all programs are abusive, we can tell that they were in a program 40 years ago, and know that their experience is pretty much irrelevant at this point. If you agree with this, then please email your local fornits representative and lets see if we can get this passed. If we work together we can accomplish a lot. lets do it!

I think there might be some double voting going on in this thread, with people with multiple usernames voting more than once. 18 people is more than the number of people who post here, normally. Which is kind of funny if you think about it. Out of the tens of thousands who have been in programs, only a dozen show up here to claim it was bad. What's that in percentages?  Like 0.0000001% or something? I'll leave that one to the math whizzes among us.

The Troubled Teen Industry / Programs exist for a reason
« on: October 01, 2010, 02:37:15 PM »
Programs exist because parents wanted a place they could send their troubled teen off to. Before programs a troubled teen could tear down an entire family, siblings and parents and everyone. Now they can be isolated away from the family in a program, and get treated and come back to the family safe and sound. Programs are great and there is nothing that fornits is going to do that will prevent programs from operating. A bunch of whining on fornits about programs does nothing to stop the kids being sent to programs today, tomorrow and indefinitely into the future. Perhaps that is why people here are so angry, and want to take their anger out on any poster here who doesn't agree with the cult that all treatment is abusive. I would be angry too if there was nothing I could do to stop something I hated. But sadly for them, programs are helpful, necessary and only going to increase now that the economy is coming around again. So you can get mad at me, or Whooter or whatever. But think about it, you are the side that is losing, and no amount of insulting or whining about here will change that.

That seems to be a habit with him/her.  Especially when he/she starts a thread, then doesn't like the responses.  I asked him/her why and never did get an answer.  Perfect example here....

It started out as "Troubled teens = troubled adults?"  but you didn't like the responses you were getting so you changed it to "Post your favorite thing about programs".  So, what's the thread topic today?

I'm sure you'll get over it, Anne Bonney. Some of you take this forum so seriously and obsess over other people, I think you might suffer from mental illness, you and shaggy should go admit yourself to the local psych bin, because its not healthy.

As much as people here complain about Whooter being the center of attention, Anne Bonney and Dysfunctional Troll, and a few others sure do obsess over him a lot, and spend a lot of time responding to him. If you guys are so mad about Whooter, then don't cry to the admin, you better talk to your own team mates about maybe not obsessing over Whooter so much.

. This post must have really gotten to her and I am very very very very glad about that.

Congratulations, you are a troll. Now you resort to making up quotes from me? Wow, you really need to find a new hobby rather than obsess about me. Get a life.

The funny thing about all of this is the admin is not even a real "survivor". He was a legal adult when he chose to sign himself into treatment, and could have literally walked out the door whenever he wanted. Even better, the US government footed the bill because his parents worked for uncle sam, so his choice to enter treatment was paid for courtesy of the US taxpayer. Somewhere there must be a distinction between who is a survivor and who isn't. Don't people wonder why the admin spends so much time trying to compare AA to programs? That's because in his experience of programs, it's the same as AA, a choice and something adults choose to do on their own free will. In other words, he is desperately trying to convince himself he is a victim of programs and AA because they somehow convinced him he needed treatment when he really did not.

I believe the line of definition for survivor should be cut off once you are a legal adult, and not under court order to stay at a program. If you had the option to leave at will, then you are no longer a victim of programs, you are only a victim of your own bad decision. I think we should have a vote, and banish this admin from the survivor community once and for all. Unless we want to let everyone who ever went to AA or rehab to be able to claim they are a survivor as well. I think we need to keep the term survivor dedicated to those who went to programs as underage youths, and not as adults on their own free will. It's time to consider keeping fornits pure from outside influences and only letting survivors post here. People complain about Whooter, but the ex staffers like troll control also create a lot of problems here by feeding into it. So I submit a plan that we ban everybody who is not a survivor. That means program parents, former program staffers, and people like Pile of Dead kids and Nihanthic. These are the people all the problems come from. Instead of destroying this site with dozens of rules, implement the one and only rule necessary to fix everything, survivors only.

I wonder if maxine contributed any money. Mr. administrator seems to like to handle her with kid gloves.

I don't even have enough money to pay my own bills, so no I haven't ever donated to fornits. Besides I let the people who need to pay, do it. There are people whose involvement in this industry has left them with a sense of guilt. I'm sure paying fornits hosting bill helps them feel better about themselves.

What kind of democracy is it when you must be jewish to vote.

Wrong. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_citizens_of_Israel

As of 2008, Arab citizens of Israel comprise just over 20% of the country's total population. The majority of these identify themselves as Arab or Palestinian by nationality and Israeli by citizenship.

There are three mainstream Arab parties in Israel: Hadash (a joint Arab-Jewish party with a large Arab presence), Balad, and the United Arab List, which is a coalition of several different political organizations including the Islamic Movement.

Palestinian Arabs sat in the state's first parliamentary assembly; currently, 12 of the 120 members of the Israeli Parliament are Arab citizens, most representing Arab political parties, and one of Israel's Supreme Court judges is a Palestinian Arab.

Isreal will be a democracy when palastinians are allowed to vote.

Palestinians (arabs without Israeli citizenship, read about Israeli independence if you want more info how this happened) want their own country, that's why they suicide bomb buses and holiday parties and send rockets down onto civilians.

All jews are not isrealies, But all isrealies are jewish in order to be citizens[/b]

Wrong again. As of 2008, Arab citizens of Israel comprise just over 20% of the country's total population. The majority of these identify themselves as Arab or Palestinian by nationality and Israeli by citizenship.

The Troubled Teen Industry / Re: Have Programs Changed?
« on: September 28, 2010, 01:00:02 PM »
Of course programs change. I know at the program I was at, it got progressively better the more time went on. They see what the criticism are of the program, and they fix it. They are in business which means they must adapt to the demands of the market or perish, in this case the demand comes from parents. Parents want their kids kept safe, so programs will work hard to keep them safe. I believe there is more danger in state run programs because nobody cares about improving, because the kids get sent there no matter what and nobody is going to lose their job. Programs have a real financial interest in improving their programs, and so they do. Wilderness programs did not exist and yet now they are very popular, that's change in action.
