Over the weekend, I received a copy of the September 2006 Special Issue of Hidden Lake Academy?s ?Lakeside Reflections? newspaper.   Featured on the front cover is a picture of the completed Student Library and Administration Building.  There is also a picture of Len Buccellato cutting the ribbon at the dedication ceremony.  The newspaper also said that the dedication was attended by many local community leaders, HLA staff and students.

In addition to the new library, Lakeside Reflections also featured the new J.R. Garrett student swimming pool and the new Stables and Student Riding Program.

?The new J.R. Garrett, Jr. student swimming pool is completed and students are enjoying it immensely on these hot Georgia days!  The new pool cabana is equipped with baths and showers, and a full kitchen.  The new pool has brought a new fun dimension to the recreation program at HLA.  Students will also have the opportunity to learn how to swim. ?

?The Stables and Student Riding Program is in full gallop!  Students are having great fun learning and developing their riding and equine caring skills.  Students had their first overnight trail ride.  The trip was filled with wonderful compfire meals, riding horses all day and late into the evening.  Students are preparing for a horse show in October.  They will also be welcoming 3 new horse to the 7 already in the HLA riding program.?

This doesn?t sound like the HLA where ?Hannibal Lecter? is a resident or the same HLA that is not able to complete construction projects because the money collected from donors was applied to some other inappropriate uses.

It seems like this edition of Lakeside Reflections is deliberately trying to address several of the issues raised in the 70 page complaint document.  Anyone agree?
