well now. Daytop is hiring for a full time awake alert position in its Fox Run locale....
a knowledge of Theraputic communities is a plus.
Do you think Straight inc survivor counts as knowlegde of TC's? The last struggles of a great superstition are very frequently the worst.

I had attended the facilities listed above and I had done 13 months and even went to Far Rockaway re entry. While in re entry I was straight all the way. i had then did an escort with someone on their day pass and when tested they accused me of being "dirty" (alcohol content). I was not about to accept a punishment for something that I had not done and yet was being finger pointed to the "haircut" chair or should i say the wooden chair that meant you were one foot in and one foot out. out of my persistent determination that i was not going to accept the punishment i ended up putting my foot down and left. Mind you I was voluntary and i had done this to get out of an even worse situation called a Group home. I then left and stood drug and alcohol free (due to that was notthe reason i was in daytop) and afterwards i started hearing of all of the top notch counselors "falling". It was a sad thing to hear but yet even the highest black bald headed guy was caught up in his own game in Harlem getting busted for being a head in a drug ring. yea an institution run by drug addicts and a drug lord accusing me of being dirty and yet they all fell and are either dead or in jail, just like being in the streets yet i was able to tke it as a vacation. i especially liked the pool at Fox run and was glad to meet so many varieties of people from all over the U.S. ...

I live about 15 minutes from there and worked at that facility about 10 years ago. I think, whatever your background, they'll hire you. When I was there nearly all employees were bottom-of-the-barrel and without degrees or credentials of any kind.

It says "nearly all." People who are competent and ethical usually leave when they see how bogus the program is. The leftovers are types like you: low-functioning pseudo-professionals.

I think it's clear that both were RTC's. I respect intelligent professionals who can use a critical mind to formulate their own conceptions about the efficacy of their workplace. It just shows thoughtfulness and the desire to be part of things that work, not RTC's that have been proven not to work.
I'd say it's not really a pattern, it's an honest and respectable professional consistently stating the facts about a failed treatment modality and two failure facilities in particular, Daytop and HLA.

Yea that was me, and I said I never worked there meaning I never worked at Daytop, I wasnt referring to HLA.
