i remember one day when the whole school was out to work and we were doing a particularly hard work-out in the sunken garden, this work out included doing iso-abs as groups of 5 students at a time ran carrying pumpkins of 3 stair sets around the wall near the mansion and back down. mrs. burrough was in charge of the work out, she was crying, as usual.dont ask me why,she was always overly emotional, anyway she was shouting stuff at the students, telling us "deep down you are awful people" "you should be ashamed" and insulting, degrading stuff like that, she made everyone scream out all the rules they had broken while doing the workout, this included people telling that they had broken the sex ethic, she ordered us to be as specific as possible.    i have a clear memory of that day. i was so enraged, i knew she wanted us to be ashamed of our behavior and i felt no giult . she was wrong to talk to us like that, she was wrong to let her emotions take over in that situation.-to all the administration who act irrationally like this, i want to say get a  grip you are abusing your position and giving students the absolute wrong idea.

Does anyone know where i can get more information of saleries and spendings, i am attempting to compile this type of info for a letter i am writing to the school

another recent example of the lack of professionalism amoungst the hyde staff is a recent incident that happened in 2006. spanish teacher, ceclia pezdek was fired after it was discovered that she was having sex with a recent graduate over the summer. the recent graduate was her student during the previous year.  

 I had this teacher as a ""discovery group leader" that same year and it was pbvious that she was not qualified for her job. during the group sesions where her and the other leaders were sopposed to be providing guidence she would either break down and cry for the whole time or get into arguement with the students, one instace on parents weekend her behavior was so absurd she was asked to leave by the parents... i had complained many time about her and everytime my complaints were met with someone telling me that my behavior was out of line or that i was just being a trouble maker.....

it was clear to anyone with half a brain that this woman was not fit for her job.... she was also unqualified as a teacher and her students told me that she could not even speak spanish very well. (her knowladge of spaish being what she aquired in college)

i encourage anyone who has any infromation about any other sexual mis conduct to come forward... i will not stop untill these people are confronted with the actual truth

many of the faculty at do not have teaching degrees, you don't need one to work at private schools, many of them studied completly differnt subjects in college such as bisiness, or had differnt cariers until they were unsuccessful or dissatisfied

some of that is not completly true, when you visit the school  it is not presented in an honest way, they get choice "on-track" students to be tour giudes and they are told what they can and cannot say, my friend was told that she couldnt give tours anymore because she was being too honest,  other times when i have visited schools they always have an option to  sit in on class, on my interview i asked if thats wht i would be doing and i was suprised to find out that all there is is an interview and a tour,    when i attended it made more sense, if perspectivce studentswere to sit in class they would see how things really work which is often times teachers don't even come to class, most students are unprepared or have other things going on in class that take precedence such as, appointments, 2-4, sports games, academics are a low priority and it would be apparent from sitting in on classes

I am very interested in helping you, I am currently a student and am very discontented,  I know of a situation that happened last year  involving the music teacher, earl bigalow and a student, they were very vauge about what happened but it was either satatory rape or just sexual abuse, the teacher was revered in the school and when it happened they said they didn't know if they were goiing to press charges, i don't think much was done about it.
   students still see him plaing music in the local cafe, he has a very young child and i am afraid for her safty, her fater is a sexual predetor and she has no idea.   i believe that they didn't make sure real punisment was delt because of PR reasons

I am a student and when i had sex with my boyfriend my first year, they made me recant all the insignificant details, it was totally humiliating.  this happend countless times,  just this year a few students were put on 2-4 for not even having sex. it is not uncommon for students to adress the school for sexdual infractions. In seminars i have been in many groups where people are pressured by near strangers to talk about tramatic sexual and physical abuse. just recently  my friend was urged after a half an hour to retell a tramatic rape story in front of a group of males she was unfirmiliar with. i was outraged, one of the group members was told about the rape in confidence and assured he would not tell anyone, he then brought it up in the group and she was pressured to tell the details. my friend was humiliated
