Oh, okay.

I didn't know there was a milder version of Straight. Hmmmm.

Indeed, Jimmy Carter. The good old Days. Amazing what three decades does to the sentiment. He looks like a wise and capable man to me now. I just remember everyone hated him soooo much back then.

He's the type of Christian who doesn't give me the creeps. He wouldn't say shit about God if he had a  mouth full of it.  He just goes out and helps poor people build houses.

Anyway, don't worry too much about Straight. There's a reason the Board of Helath shut them down, and it's not because they were too altruistic.

File it in you head under Wierd Abusive Treatment Center For Non-Existing Drug Problem, and call it a day.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Records from Straight, Inc.
« on: May 02, 2006, 12:35:00 PM »
Hi:

I've never tried to obtain records, but I've had government clearance, which combs throught your entire life, and they never found out about Straight. Ditto for a friend of mine from Straight.

Funny, I just asked this question to a friend of mine, a former staff member (a nice one) and he was wondering the same thing.

I don't know, I guess is the answer, but if the government can't unearth it it must be hard to find.

By the way, tto whomever made the Nazi comparison thing, it shows a scary lack of knowkedge of history. Our time in Straight more resembles that of North Korean Insulates than any type of German Experiment. Many psychiatrists say Straight was conducted as an experiment mimicking the No. Ko. regime to test its effect on dissidents.

It's also impossible to relate to the Jewish cause if you're not Jewish. One could make the connections of the Aramaic language etc. but I don't think any christian can relate. If you are a christian you are the majority. Where is your Diaspora? Where is your rejection from the Western world? Where is your Holocaust? Where is your marginalization?

Leave the subject alone. It doesn't belong here.

Maybe I'm way off, but Damon was the least we had to worry about in Straight. Jodi Mossoulini? Dean Mistretta? I could go on but the many others I think have since realized what they were sucked into, so I don't want to embarrass anyone who comes to realize they were a part of something horrible.

I remember Damon as fairly rational and mild compared to other staffers, or even rabid phasers who would gladly take their pound of flesh from your ass.

The Straight mind control technique does not become ineffective the day you turn eighteen, nor does it cease to work the day you make staff. Many, many people who went on staff were still under the influence.

There were many staffers who though they were helping in the tough love way. There were some who went overboard. You are within your rights to be angry at them if you choose.

I choose to question the Architects of this program, and not the peple they experimented on. Pissed off? Call Mel Sembler. Find Dean Mistretta. Track down Miller Newton.

Damon didn't invent these techniques, and like most other staffers, and phasers (me), we were rewarded for standing people up and blasting them for things like "druggie haircuts" (I still don't know what those are, but I want one now).

Thanks for posting Damon. It can't have been easy.

Love,

Squirrel

Hi:

This is  synanon. Take Christianity, remove the love and comassion. Insert an misquided zeal, have the governement sponsor It. Look it up. The whole thing is so calculated, and our poor parrents were shafted, and we were robbed of our ego

Look it up. It will feel familiar.

Love D.

You are within your right to have a crush on Irene B@ron@. She was cute.

As far as Peter goes, thanks for the memories. Somehow I'm warm when you tell me how he taught you harmonica.  He was a funny guy, when you knew him you could sit back and be entertained by his antics. His parents have dealt remarkably well with his murder. They are serene and happy and living in Maine. They know we all loved him. I ran into them in Sebago last year. My stepather scremed out in the middle of a restaurant...Love ya Marge! I shrunk under the table. I hate fake love!

Sorry you had three Straights. Yikes!

Its so guy like to compare sweat and injuries. It's actually cute.

Virginia was brutal, yes. Stoughton was no picnic either. Do you know what it takes for a Government sponsored program (and Straight was one) to get shut down by the government? It tales something sooooo foul, and the push must come from within the Government. My point is that the same techniqes were used, less forceflly in Stoughton that in Virginia.

In any event, we were brainwashed, and some of us have woken up. Good morning.

Gamey. Wow. I'd forgotten that word too.

I hope you are over the Virginia vs. Stoughton thing because the whole game was an experiment. None of it means anyhting. For example some Synanon peole came to my school in eighth grade asking parents if their teenagers were moody, tired, depressed, hanging out with a new crowd, etc. Well yes, yes, yes, and yes. Within three months five of us from Gates Junior High were in Straight. They told our parents that based to their number of "yes's" they'd checked we were chemically dependent and would be dead in a year.
Well, I'm not chemically dependent and my parents a $160 grand lighter.

Please, believe nothing those people told you about yourself. Only you know what your issues are and only you can deal with them.

That being said, I'm glad we had fun in a candy store.

Peace,
Denisha

Father:

No way! She was your prom date!?!

Rachel had a particular qualtiy about her that was endearing. The staff was always fond of her. I can see why one would be facinated by her.

You said we went on an outing...was it to that dreadful swamp in Stoughton? Wampanoag something or other? Tell me what you remeber..

Does anyone remeber Julie from Manchester? I would love to look her up, as I am ten minutes away, but I can't for the life of me remember her last name. Strange how you can live with someone for two years on forget their last name.

Write me privately if you feel wierd about postng her full name here.

No other details on Rachel. It was on the news, and then I talked to a straight  parent, Janin* Mo*re's mom, who is an artist up here in Gloucester.  She was horrified when I said that it sounded about right for Rachel. Janin* said exactly the same thing.
