Maybe not Ginger but that was my honest reaction. I'll stand by it too...as a gut reaction, and I did qualify that. My apologies to the gentleman if he is offended!

Got it. Didn't mean to shame the guy, but this board, where people are touchy about anonymity, is probably not the place to track someone down.

I don' think there was ever a 'ring,' but there was boxing. Eric, who had been a golden gloves champ, and this other black kid who had a great singing voice and became a...modern dancer. I never saw it, but people talked about it a lot.

Dude, sorry but this is starting to creep me out. You seem to obsess on this one person - was there nothing else about the Seed that made an impression on you? Seriously, you are starting to sound stalker-ish. I hope that's not the case, but...even if I knew anything, which I don't, I wouldn't share it with you at this point. I think it's important to share our own memories, and not intrude on private individuals. I guess some would say that some of us gave up that right, but I think it's a fine line and important to respect it.

Seth,

Wow, I can't believe it...

Hey, I was thinking about you the other day, wondering what you were up to. Yeah, quiet but...an Aries so you know what they say.

I have great memories of you singing, playing guitar, and I really enjoyed listening to music with you - Frank Sinatra, Count Basie. That was a pleasure.

I hope you are doing well and Happy Birthday!

Walter

Hi, I came in a bit after you and names aren't connecting. But was Dave M a kid who had a pretty intense stutter? I just thought of him...

Greg,

You do an excellent job of minimally moderating this forum. Threads like this are the exception here. I have learned and grown so much from what I read here - I get nothing out of personal attacks and they're usually not clever enough to be amusing.

The Seed Discussion Forum / Dawn C*** in 75-76

Dawn C was (and probably is) a wonderful person. Among the female staff, she was the kindest, the least gung ho, the most intellegent (except maybe Lybbi) and was the nicest to me. I have only kind thoughts of her. I hope she is happily married and enjoying her life.

I have to stick up for Ft. Lauderdale here. He is - was - one hell of a nice guy. Sure, he's not the best speller...and sometimes he's sarcastic - and yeah, he does truly love The Seed...but he is a good, good guy. I lived with the guy so I guess I would know.

He was always ready to help anyone, honest to a fault, hard-headed and really funny. I think he lived the best of whatever the Seed credo was - or was supposed to be.

I have encouraged him to take a hard look at the Seed when we have spoken, and I think he's been open minded, even though in the end we would probably disagree.

Also, anyone who has warm feelings for the Seed is understandably less likely to be first to be critical of the program. I think we have to allow for individual differences here and not attack one another personally (OK he did attack Stripe first)...

OK, I feel better now...

The Seed Discussion Forum / the seed indeed

From wikkipedia:

"Many also blame Muskie's loss on his emotional defense of his wife, Jane Muskie, after the Manchester Union-Leader, a conservative newspaper criticized Mrs. Muskie. Muskie seemingly wept as he spoke outside the newspaper's offices, yet he would later claim that what seemed to be tears were actually melted snowflakes. Had this not been a controversy, many question whether Muskie would have won the nomination and gone on to defeat President Nixon."

So this indicates it didn't happen outside of the Seed, as Art said. Or perhaps I misunderstood the story.

There's a story Art used to tell about how Ed Muskie visited the Tt. Laud. Seed, and afterwords the media grilled him about either his or his wife's treatment for depression - he cried, it made the national headlines, and he later withdrew from the race. I've seen the newspaper article.

Art always used that story as an illustration of how the media can make a story out of a trivial event.

I bet a quick online search would turn this up.

I remember when my nephew had a crush on Snow White. He would watch the video over and over again - he was clearly in love. He was four! I guess this is in the male DNA.
