What can anyone tell me about Safe Houses. I've been told that these are off campus houses that people can request to go to when stress gets to much.
Any comments?

Or perhaps just houses of bounty hunters where you get to watch tv and hang out while yer parent pay rediculous costs?

I believe Safe Houses have to have a foster care home license. CEDU escorts comprise most of these homes as well as a few law enforcement officers in the community. These homes are very expensive to the parents and are simply a place for kids to go when they are transitioning to the hospital or another school or to transition back into the school they just blew out of.

I was put in a "safe" house twice after running away and both times I was just locked up in a shady motel room with a big body builder guy and had to wait till CEDU was ready for my return. this was in 1999 at CEDU HS in running springs.

I went to CEDU MS from 97-99 and was molested and raped at a "safehouse" by Charles for the two years I was there. I never hear or read anywhere anything about it, but I can't imagine I am the only person. Please let me know if there is someone I can tell about this that can take it somewhere or help those others who were hurt in safe houses.

I am so sorry you went through that.
Forgive me for being obtuse, but... (if only for the sake of others who may have suffered similarly) can you be a bit more specific as to the identity and occupation of Charles?

Charles was simple a normal person who ran a "safe house". He must have been un-employed or on disability because he lived in a trailer in Running Springs and stayed at home all day with students from CEDU. His wife worked, or did something, and his son went to school. There is no way he had any qualifications further than a high-school diploma-if that- and nothing in the area of child psychology, mental health etc. Later, when I went back to visit, around 2000-2001 he was actually a staff at CEDU MS. I was horrified to see him and had to life through all the trauma again. He and his wife were also "escorts" who took me to Ascent, one of the times I went, and again I saw nothing that would pass as any type of occupation or qualification. I pray every night that what I went through didn't happen to anyone else.
