typical abuse.

Two old men walked into a bar. In the middle of the floor, a woman was being raped. Surprised, they looked around. Forty or so patrons at the bar were ignoring the rape and were engaged in conversation with each other.

"Excuse me," one of the old men said to the patron next to him, "why isn't anyone doing anything to help this woman?"

"Oh, that's not the way things go here, only the owner of the bar can stop the rapes and get rid of the rapists," said the patron.

"Oh, I see. Can you direct us to the owner?"

The patron waved the bar owner over, a striking woman obviously in command of her domain.

"What can i do for you fellows tonight?" she said.

The second old man spoke up. "Well we walked into your bar, saw this rape, and we heard only you can do anything about it."

"Oh yeah, that," said the bar owner, and waved her hand dismissively. "It's a real free for all around here, buncha crazy patrons."

"So why don't you stop the rape?"

"Like I said, it's a free for all. I am not their mommy or their babysitter. I don't have anything to do with that rape, it is up to the rapist to stop."

The two old men looked at each other and grinned, and then the first old man said to the bar owner, "Ma'am, we had no idea you were running a franchise of our original business. I'm afraid you owe us back payments in royalties."

The bar owner bit her lip nervously. "But you see," she said, "I don't charge anybody who comes here."

"I'm sure you can arrange something," said the second old man.

The bar owner thought for a minute and then her face lit up. "Hey, how much would it be worth to you boys if I advertised for the franchise?"

The old men laughed and shook her hand. They all toasted their business arrangement.

"And to think, Newton," said the first old man, wiping a tear of high emotion from his eye --

"Say no more, Sembler," said the second old man. "Our work will carry on after we are gone."

Thanks for your concern, Reagan Youth. I'm just doing my piece for public service. I'm disturbed that Ginger will not delete first names, last names and vile slander. I am also disturbed that hardly anyone says anything about this. They just watch while fellow Straight survivors get trashed, first and last name, on the public internet. It doesn't matter until it is you, or your sister, or your friend, or a relative of yours.

It feels shitty to watch people I care about being trashed and abused with their name and everything over and over again.

I am guilty of not seeing this for what it was before, I am guilty for not speaking out on behalf of other people before.

I used to think what other people think who will say "make your own forum", "no censorship" and so on. I was wrong. It is just plain wrong when someone's nude photo goes up without their permission, and Ginger will not even take that down.

It's horrifying, really, that Ginger lacks that much common sense. I think people should speak up about this kind of thing until Ginger changes her ways.

What is "Rampant talking out in Group" if people don't stand up for each other?

We all watched girls get stood up in Straight and humiliated with personal information, or, more accurately, slanderous versions of personal information. Staff could lie and twist anything to make you look bad.

I got stood up once, the staff person said "I bet you were like [fill in the druggie whore blank] in your past!" I just said "no, I wasn't". A "druggie friend" stood up and defended me because he knew me. In Straight someone defended me. I was lucky. So twenty years later we are all just going to watch while females get degraded again? No one is going to stand up and say anything?

I think many of us CRINGE at the thought of the personal information and slander that we had to talk about and get abused with in Straight in front of two hundred or more other teenagers.

Now the SAME thing happens on fornits, but it is on the public internet, it is published, and Ginger OWNS IT. No one else can take it down.

On more than one forum, I have seen females trashed and degraded, called terrible things and had their real first and last names put up on the public internet.

One time I tried to defend some poor girl from AARC whose name went up on fornits. Ginger was too busy partying. She got annoyed at me for even mentioning that perhaps she should delete the poor girl's name.

But it is not really an Open Forum, because Ginger does delete things, according to her own whim. She owns it, she said it herself. It is Ginger's Forum.
