Open Free for All / where were you on 9/11??
« on: September 11, 2007, 02:39:10 PM »
I was where I am right now when I first saw the news, but I didn't know what I was seeing. AOL had a photo up of a building in flames. I didn't even give it a second look. I figured it to be an add for some new disaster movie. After logging off, I went and got a cup of coffee and sat down to check out Court TV. The news was on. There was a shot of New York City all shrouded in thick "smoke", which was wafting out into the harbor. I yelled for my friend to come quick - NYC was burning! As the day progressed, there was one shocking revelation after another. This run of shocking information went on for weeks and months. It is still difficult to understand how they managed to pull that off.  Afterwards, I was surprised at how strange it was to not see airplanes over head; and how happy I felt to see them flying again. Relieved somehow.  I never fail to think about 9 - 11 now, when ever I see a plane go over, and that is frequently.  I wanted to go see the places where all this happened. Ground zero as they call it. The field in Pennsylvania. The Pentagon. People thought it was morbid , but it didn't feel that way to me.  It seemed more like a tribute or a pilgrimage. But I never went. Probably never will.

The "people" who use this website are nothing more than carefully constructed false personalities with agendas.
Original poster- be careful who you trust with your information and who claim to contact you with a sympathetic ear and claim to want to help.
They have their own agendas that need abuse stories like yours to exist, they are sick sick people.

I'm really curious about this.  Who is this as a person?  Why do they want me to think this?  Is this a WWASP who doesn't want me to tell anybody anything?  Is this a genuinely concerned anonymous?  What kind of sick person needs abuse stories to exist, and what what would their agenda be?

Its a good book. I would recommend it highly to anyone with an interest in child development and the effects of trauma, and effective therapies for the traumatized child.

Its not overly clinical. Anyone who reads can easily understand it. The various accounts are all written in a warm hearted, yet professional manner. With one exception, I would say the primary message of the various cases described, is one of great hope.

I had the impression she lived in a posh mansion type home, in a private, gated community. I would imagine such a place in the state of Florida would be valued at several times this; at least twice as much, and maybe four times as much. It must be VERY small. . . No land at all. . .

Can anyone goggle map this address? Lets take a look. . .

Keep reading, Phil also went on to say that it distracted people from her real crimes....
Phil's a smart cookie, but he's also honest.

I agree.

I do hate to see Phil Elburg disrespected. He is as close to a real life hero, as I have personally come across.

Do not be fooled into thinking anybody on Fornits wants to help you or cares about you. Fornits is not therapy. WWASP posts and reads this site.

No - Fornits don't give a hot dam about anyone. Fornits is a web site. But the people who use this web site are a different matter.

The people who use this web site are a diverse group. Some like Fornits itself, don't give a hot dam about anyone (except their own precious selves)  Others do care, and will lend an ear, or assist this kid, or any other, in what ever way they can.  Some are just lurking. Some of the lurkers have malicious intent,  and some don't.

Sure WWASP reads fornits. Everybody reads fornits. Some won't admit it, but they read it. This doesn't diminish the fact having a place in cyber space where a person can contact and communicate with others, and hash out the issues relating to life's trauma, might be helpful.  Just learning your not alone with something can be helpful. Having your perceptions validated can be helpful.

Fornits is helpful in these ways. It doesn't matter that the evil cartel also read it. When they occasionally try posting, it can be down right fun to watch them prove what arrogant, ignorant assholes they are. This too can be helpful.

Yeah, I do think fornits has the potential to be therapeutic. On the other hand, for some, it can drive them to fits of sputtering rage and the need for a shot of Thorzene or Haldol.

Why would Sue Scheff care if Paula Reeves is featured in the longer version of the Tranquility Bay Documentary?  Isn't  the purpose of having the Documentary released to be about saving children from abusive programs?

One would hope so. However, if your dealing with a narcissist, you are dealing with a person who can not tolerate any form of criticism.  They can not abide even well intended constructive criticism. The tiniest suggestion that they are not perfect, and that everything they do is not equally perfect, is going to deflate their ego; and that is not tolerable to a narcissist.

This is why they keep people around them who will tell them how great they are. They must be surrounded with "yes men". This is why they can turn so quickly from a friend to a foe. If you happen to prick their inflated ego, causing it to deflate, you must be destroyed.

They are like big bright balloons; superficially attractive, charming, intelligent, successful - but inside they are hollow and filled with hot air. They are swollen up with self importance, and inflated with notions of their intelligence, success and sex appeal all out of proportion to reality. The slightest pin-prick can cause this illusion to explode; and any suggestion that they are not superior to others and wonderful in every way, causes them to feel a kind of rage and despair.

The one guilty of causing this will not easily be forgiven. They may in fact set about destroying them, and feel wholly justified in doing so, because in their mind, the offending person has tried to destroy them by having popped the balloon of their massively inflated ego.

I suspect the French documentary on the behavior modification industry, failed to sufficiently pump up the the lady's ego, and instead pricked it with little bits of criticism that deflated her grandiose notions of how wonderful she is, and so therefore it had to be squashed.

It is pitiful. Imagine living life unable to benefit from constructive criticism and advice. Imagine having nothing in life more important than your own inflated ego.  Imagine the frustration of trying to keep this grandiose notion of  superiorness afloat, in a world that keeps pricking it with reality.  Imagine not being able to laugh at ones own foolishness; or being unable to learn from the mistakes you make; because perfect people don't make mistakes, they can't learn from them.

So, some measure of pity is called for, but not at the expense of truth. If the narcissist finds the truth unbearable, maybe they will seek help, and there-by become less of a problem in the lives of those around them.

They all are these days, aren't they?

Seriously - all anyone needs to do, to realize how ridiculous such a clam on her part is, is to read her review of Maia Szalavitz's book "Help at Any Cost".

Any true advocate concerned with the health and welfare of children, would recognize the unquestionable value of Ms Szalavitz's book.  But what does this goof ball woman do? She writes a verbose, self promoting editorial, slamming "Help at Any Cost" as written by someone with no first hand experience. She clearly didn't bother to do her own research, before writing her goofy and self serving "review".

Goofy woman has no concern for the truth found on every page of Szalavitz's book; all she thought was: My gosh, if people read this I might loose business! She couldn't help but promote herself, as she slammed the book, because she, is all she really cares about.  Not unlike that "other" notorious woman, who calls herself an ed-con, and refuses to acknowledge the value of "Help at Any Cost".

And wasn't it interesting that the article was titled "Medical Condition Blamed for Death".

Neglect of medical condition would be more accurate. It is deeply disturbing how often kids seem to just lay down and die in these places. I hope "the rest of the story" will come to light, as there is surely a lot more to the story than what has been told so far.

SALT LAKE CITY -- A southern California boy died at a group home in Draper, apparently in his sleep.

The 14-year-old boy awoke early Thursday complaining of stomach and bowel problems, was placed in a separate room from other kids and found dead the next morning, said Carol Sisco, spokeswoman for Utah Department of Human Services.

"We are interviewing everyone involved who was in the unit at the time," Draper police Sgt. Gerald Allred said.

Allred and other police officials were unavailable Friday to comment on whether an autopsy had revealed a cause of death for the boy, who entered the group home in February. His name was not released.

The boy died of a "medical condition," Trina Packard, executive director of the Youth Care & Pine Ridge Academy, said in a statement issued Friday. Packard didn't specify the medical condition or say why she was certain he died of it, and she didn't return a message left by The Associated Press.

"We are extremely saddened" by the boy's death, she said, pledging to cooperate with authorities. "We are providing therapeutic services to the boy's family, as well as counseling services for our own staff and students."

The state division that licenses the group home will inspect the facility after police are finished, Sisco said.

Among things inspectors will look at is whether the group home had adequate staff on duty, she said.

The group home is operated by Cerritos, Calif-based Aspen Education Group, a division of CRC Health Group that runs boarding schools, outdoor education programs, weight-loss camps and "weight-loss residential high schools," according to its Web site.

Corporate officials didn't return telephone and e-mail messages left Friday by the AP.

"It sounds like he woke in the night and was having diarrhea and vomiting," Sisco said. "They took him into a separate room, and within a few minutes he went asleep. They checked on him a couple of times, but he was dead by the morning."

The group home takes troubled children 11 to 17 years old sent voluntarily by their parents, Sisco said.

It does not take any court-assigned children, she said.

"The program notified us (of the death) within 24 hours as they are required to do. We'll be looking at reports from the program, law enforcement, the medical examiner and then going out and checking the program physically to see if there is anything they could have done differently," Sisco said.

'Medical condition' blamed for death

Associated Press

A Southern California boy who died at a group home in Draper had a "medical condition," the group home's director said Friday.

Youth's death is still under review

DRAPER — The Salt Lake district attorney will be asked to decide what, if any, charges should be filed in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy at a youth treatment facility in Draper.

The Southern California boy, whose name was not released, was found dead at the Youth Care of Utah on June 28. He had been

suffering from stomach and bowel problems and placed in a room separate from the others. In the morning, he was found dead on his mattress.

Draper Police Sgt. Gerry Allred said Monday an autopsy had been completed, but he did not want to comment on it until all factors were looked at.

"We're looking at it really hard to make sure we're not missing anything," he said.

Allred said the case was suspicious only because a teenager in the care of adults died.

"We want to make sure no negligence was involved," he said.

In a statement released by the Youth Care & Pine Ridge Academy shortly after the death, they declared the boy died of a "medical condition."

Sidhe Shee has proven that they aren't Izzy by writing short and to the point posts. Same could be said of "the Aunt". If they were Izzy in disguise, their post would be 53 paragraphs long, with 35 sentences per paragraph, and 35 words per sentence.

Can't help but wonder why this thread had to be high-jacked with yet more CaCa bull shit. There is an entire forum for this business. The Aunt seems genuine enough to me. She seems like the commonly found concerned family member. But frankly, even if she were a total poser, she has provided a thread where important maters can be discussed; and she has brought to our attention yet another obscure little program never before heard of.  This is all to the good, isn't it? Don't we want to know about these places? Don't we want to talk about them?

Why must the value of the discussion be watered down with Izzy crap? Couldn't those concerned, have taken their concern to the CaCa / PURE bullshit forum and start a thread over there? Any chance this thread can be cleaned up of this bull shit, and have it moved to CACa's forum?

Really people - The world doesn't revolve around Izzy or Sue. Why should we?

Some people just don't have the kahunas to admit they done been scammed.  You never "talked" to The Aunt, or this tin hat poster SiheShee and yet because they bring up a hellhole program, we should all be grateful?  That's the kind of faulty thinking the ex-WWASPS parents are so infamous for.  If we get wwasps, who cares about PURE or it's clone, CAICA?  Let's not make waves.

Who said no one cares about the problem of P.U.R.E. and CACA? But must everything be about them always?

And how is it you know who I have talked to, or haven't? I really do not think you know any such thing,

And if Fornits has been scammed by The Aunt, (I don't think so - but. . .)  my point was, even so, we have had the opportunity to learn about yet another little problem, that needs some attention, out in the Indiana boonies; and we have had some interesting dialog; But that the thread was sadly high-jacked by the CaCa & P.U.R.E. obsessed.

As I pointed out, these two problems have an entire forum of their own. I suggest that their issues be hashed out over there. They are not the only problem, any more than WWASPS or Whitmore or Thayer are the only problem.
