I take care of myself.  Never have needed a cop and I never will.  Back in the days of the old west people policed themselves.  And back then there was less crime per capita.  Why???  What do cops to rapists???  Nothing!!!  They write stuff on paper and then say "we'll see what we can do" and the victom never hears from them again.  But rapists that invaded the farmers wife of the old west ended up hanging in a tree.  So who's wife do you think a rapist will target??  The one who's husband has a gun and defends his own wife on the spot.  Or the one who's husband has a cell phone with 911 on speed dial??

How many self secured people get robbed vs. people that reley on the police??

Sadly, Police Cheif Cesare V.  is correct when it comes to the Texas Penal System.  
Right now SEX Offenders in Texas are getting early release dates after serving 10 MONTHS of 10 year sentences.
While DRUG offenders are getting early release dates after serving 2 YEARS of 7 year sentences.

What can Texans do??????

I would grab my 9mm and blow the fucker's brains out (I live in FL, we can fire at will, no problem).  Calling the cops would be cowardly and foolish, as well as a waste of time.

I have absolutely NO use for cops whatsoever, they have NEVER helped me in any situation where I was a victim of a crime.  I shot a fucker that shot at me while he was robbhing the store I worked at, the cops even said that they probably wouldn't be able to catch the guy, he was arrested after going to the hospital to be treated for the .38 slug I put in his chest (didn't kill him, what a shame....).  Otherwise, the shithead would have gotten away with it and done it again.   I have been robbed by police more than twice (harassed for victimless crimes, once they extorted money from me in exchange for 'letting me go', another time I had to spoend thousands of doillars to get my property back---the only victim in these instances was ME), I have had a friend killed by police (the cop that murdered him was kicked off the force but did no jail time; the city settled out of court with his family, his wife became a widow at age 24 and his son fatherless at four years old----my friend was killed because he tried to drive away after being stopped for DUI, the cop  shot him several times in the back; the gutless and cowardly PIG claimed my friend tried to run him over and that he had to shoot to prevent my friend from running over him, videotape and ballistics prove otherwise).  Cops are agents of oppression, and if you smoke pot or engage in other consensual, victimless 'crimes', know that they have taken up arms against YOU.

If you feel the need for hero-worship, try firefighters and paramedics.  They are the ones that risk their lives in service to their communities; cops are part of the problem.

All cops are not bad,except in the USA.
I have many foreign country cop friends and they are the good guys,like Sheriff Andy Taylor.
The only good cops in America QUIT their cop job because they are so disgusted by all the other bad cops.
I will NEVER help any USA cop if in distress.
You should call the cops often to report frivilous things like potholes in the road and renegade raccoons,that way their time will be occupied doing constructive things like leaving USA Citizens alone.
The only good (USA) cop is a dead (USA) cop!
