"Additionally, Mr. Speaker,
the society that is running this program are people of integrity
in the city of Calgary, and I'm sure they would not want their
personal integrity put at risk by running a program that would
not be in keeping with the well-being of Albertans."

March 20, 1990 Alberta Hansard 153
Legislative Assembly of Alberta

"Dear CBC,
I am a former director of AARC. I agreed to be a director in August 1996.  ...Which Scott am I to believe, the one who spoke on the February 1997 night and was grateful for AARC's help or the one who was interviewed by the Fifth Estate and complained about AARC. Are his comments to Fifth Estate credible? I think not. Maybe a little honesty and lots of AA meetings would help.
I earnestly believe that AARC has helped a lot of people and I fully support AARC and Dean Vause.
Sincerely
J. Gordon Ironside"
https://web.archive.org/web/20090401165527/http://www.cbc.ca:80/fifth/discussion/2009/02/powerless.html

"The Discipline Tribunal found Mr. Ironside guilty of unprofessional conduct in having:
6) deceived the external auditors by failing to advise the auditors about the options on three
leases and deliberately concealing relevant documents with respect to these leases"
http://firms.cpaalberta.ca/docs/tribunals/Ironside_Gordon_-_2012.pdf?sfvrsn=4

"[90] This excerpt demonstrated to us Ironside's persistent and continuing attempts to
deny or avoid responsibility for his actions by either manipulating the facts or shifting
blame to others.
[92] He will not acknowledge that it was because he lied to and concealed information from Blue
Range's auditor that the appropriate accounting treatment was not applied to the Leases,
with the result that Blue Range's 1998 Audited Annual Financial Statements and 1999
Second Interim Financial Statements contained misrepresentations and were not prepared
in accordance with GAAP.
[94] Once again Ironside attempted to distort the facts to support his position.
[95] It also appeared to us that he attempted to marginalize our finding and excuse his
deception by suggesting that he would have conducted his defence differently had Staff
specifically alleged in the Notice of Hearing that he had lied to Blue Range's auditor.
[105] ...This is not the
behaviour of one who can be trusted to act in the public interest.

All About Receiving Cash continues to furiously wage it's dead-ender campaign to suppress the truth about it's bizarre behaviour modification program, and the sect's curious financial affairs.  Insiders are aparently greatly vexed by potential revelations of the curious goings-on in the sect.
Despite the fact that All About Receiving Cash has availed themselves of the legal acumen of the dead sect lawyers Lojek and Ford, as well as the largesse of sect hanger-on Lane-Goodfellow, not to mention the dogged, if sad, work of the esteemed Mr. Stapon, and the helpful efforts of Mr. Tyndale, the operation remains highly vulnerable to the bungling of it's staff and the willingness of people to blow the whistle on the freak-show scam.
Certainly the recent legal actions of the sect reveal the continued pursuit of highly theatrical but paper-thin claims of loss.  AARC sued Amy Sparks for taking documents that apparently revealed a wide array of irregularities. Allegedly these irregularities run the gamut from AARC conning social agencies to pay for their unlicensed, unregulated faith-healing program, an old saw that was evident in the amateurish and incomplete records provided to former subject Christine Lunn; to payments from the sect to "donors"; to All About Receiving Cash paying to send people to a highly disreputable thought reform program in the US.  Not to mention possible off-shore financial transactions.
Unfortunately for the sect, documents began to leak out of AARC long ago, and the lawsuits are in essence an extremely cynical, and ultimatley futile, effort to perfume the honey wagon.
AARC claims that Amy Sparks revealed to CBC the AARC "strategy" for litigation.  Sparks was long gone from AARC by the time the sect brought Stapon on board to issue the "offer you can't refuse" to Christine, Bodana, Scott, Rachel and Simi.  Presumably the esteemed litigator brought something more to the party than sect drones Lojek and Ford could conjur.  Which leads to the conclusion that Spark's revelations concerning the sect's own Operation Barbarossa constitute a sum total of nothing.
"It must be recalled that, in the action against Sparks, AARC alleges that she provided privileged material to the CBC related to AARC’s prosecution of its defamation claim. AARC claims that it only learned the true extent of this when CBC filed an Amended Affidavit of Records in October 25, 2016. This document revealed that the CBC had in its possession recordings of telephone conversations between Ms. Sparks and Gillian Findlay, a journalist employed by the CBC and on-air host of the Broadcast. It is also alleged that in these phone calls, Ms. Findlay solicits from Ms. Sparks AARC’s privileged communication regarding its litigation plan and strategy."
https://www.canlii.org/en/ab/abqb/doc/2018/2018abqb324/2018abqb324.html?searchUrlHash=AAAAAQAEYWFyYwAAAAAB&resultIndex=3

As far back as the period when conflicted AARC sect judge Cooke-Stanhope abetted what was essentially the abduction of Levon Mckillop into AARC against his mother's will, documents began to disappear from AARC.  All About Receiving Cash/Kids Old Guard veteran Lisa Luciano attempted to cover her tracks, according to a reliable and knowledgeable source, by evaporating the evidence related to her "clients".

Early in the suit against Christine Lunn, when AARC was deluging her then-counsel with paper, the sect provided a document that showed dead CPS Detective David Rock communicating directly with sect leader Dean Vause, prior to Rock's interviews of sexual assault victims Christine Lunn and Rachel O'Neil.  AARC is simply too incompetent to cover their criminal behaviour.

Another document, long since revealed in the public sphere, concerns the efforts of sect leader Dean Vause to head off the consequences of his years of lying about being a psychologist.  Not only did this document reveal the sect's previous claims about Vause's credentials to be completely false, Vause went so far as to claim that he simply runs AA meetings.  This revelation was meant to be compatmentalized so that the public, the people who pay for the sect's quackery, did not discover that millions of dollars per year are going to an institution that provides a service that is free.
Of course, Vause does not just provide AA rooms.  He has subjected hundreds of young people to a highly desructive thought reform program under the guise of "addictions treatment", and when he was caught, he lied through his teeth, with the assistance of the lamentable John Lojek.  Who, I understand, took posession of signficant numbers of AARC client records before the Higher Power called him home.  More paper flowing out of the control of the sect.

Here's a funny excerpt from a letter sent by All About Receiving Cash's lawyer:
"AARC is not in the business of litigation. Its business is the treatment of adolescent drug and alcohol dependency. Despite this, AARC has no choice but to pursue litigation against the CBC and the journalists associated with the “Powerless” broadcast unless an appropriate settlement can be reached. [Emphasis added]"
https://www.canlii.org/en/ab/abqb/doc/2012/2012abqb48/2012abqb48.html?searchUrlHash=AAAAAQAEYWFyYwAAAAAB&resultIndex=5

Perhaps Mr. Stapon got the facts backwards from AARC, an understandable outcome given the sect's amateurish and bungling nature.  Certainly it would seem that the sect is geared more to litigation than to the treatment of adolescent drug dependency.  AARC has a staff of unqualified amateurs, save a couple of sect members who are nurses, but they have a very qualified litigator working for them.

So perhaps what Mr. Stapon meant to say was that AARC is very much in the business of litigation and not in the business of the treatment of adolescent drug dependency.

Which would be much more consistent with the known facts.

All About Receiving Cash has enjoyed a disgraceful and unethical relationship with the Calgary Police Service for over twenty years.  Calgary cops have shilled for the sect in the media, the CPS brass attend the AARC begathons, and sect member Andrew Morton apparently gets paid by CPS to work at the unlicensed, unregulated behaviour modification program.  The relationship between the two organizations is so cozy that once the Wizard of Vause figured out that CBC was not about to provide yet more free advertising for the sect, he scuttled off to CPS and spun yet another lie, this time claiming that he was in danger and that wicked junkies were out to do something or other of a nefarious nature to him and/or his cult.  Thus Vause and CPS set up a bogus scenario before the "Powerless" episode aired, which permitted CPS to "investigate" the AARC victims and protect the perps.  Dean Vause was able to stovepipe information to witless CPS Detective Dave Rock, who used it to intimidate Rachel O'Neil when she was interviewed by Rock about her rape at AARC.  Rock likewise closed Christine Lunn's file.

"Dr. Vause met with detectives with the Calgary Police Dr. Vause, John Service before and after the airing of “Powerless”.    AARC & Dr. Vause’s home is monitored by the police. The police recommend to not lay criminal
charges at this time but suggested AARC may have
grounds for a civil action.   recent quote from Det. Rock)
Dr. Vause has been in contact with Detective Dave
Rock of the sex crimes unit and an investigation is
proceeding – Detective Rock appears to be closing
Rachael’s file “Thank-you for this information. It has allowed
me to clear this case already. I have spoken to the ‘victim’ who is happy with the documentation. She was horrified that I asked about Penner as she said,” I didn’t want to ask about him.” –for whatever reason.   I can finish my report and put this away. Thanks again –Dave”"

As stated previously in this forum, Rock had the decency and common sense to die on July 02, 2009.  Days later, yet another victim of abuse by AARC perverts went to CPS.  Here is part of a message she sent July 08, 2009.  As Rock was already dead, another CPS shining light managed the complaint:

"I talked to the police the other day. They told me that there were no criminal charges in my case because molestation is not a crime. Yes... he told me that sexual assault, rape, etc... were in the criminal code, but not molestation. I was a bit flabbergasted until I realized why he was being such a fucking idiot. The correct term is "sexual exploitation" - it is a criminal offense to touch a minor (between the ages of 14-18) for sexual purposes, directly or indirectly on any portion of the minor\'s body. So because I said "molestation" rather than "exploitation" the cop is trying to run with that and say that no crime was committed.
...The cop actually told me to go to the library and figure out what law Tom broke (according to the laws that were in effect in 1997).
...Also, I sent a complaint to the Alberta College of Social Workers about Marty Heeg. I guess he admitted to them that he had me over for sleep overs and tried to rock me on his lap, but they wrote that "his intent was clearly to provide you with support at a time when you were experiencing a great deal of stress" so they dismissed my complaint. I\'m requesting a review of that decision. I\'d like to know how Marty sobbing to me in my counseling sessions "clearly" shows that his intent was to support ME. Fucking ridiculous. I feel like telling that cow to sit on Marty\'s lap and suck his thumb, and then tell me if she thinks that would help a suicidal kid get better."

Perhaps this sums up how CPS aided in the cover-up that ensued after the Fifth Estate program aired:
"Dr. Vause is hosting Chief of Police April 9 – will sit in rap, tour & lunch"

All of which goes to show just what a dry sense of humour our current Premier has:

"Thank you for your email regarding your experience with the Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre (AARC).

I am very sorry to hear about your negative experiences with AARC, and that they have sued your partner and others who appeared on CBC’s The Fifth Estate. The Government of Alberta is aware of AARC and its treatment model and shares many of your concerns.
...Should you or your partner be aware of physical or psychological abuse committed at AARC, I urge you to contact the police.
Sincerely,
Rachel Notley
Premier of Alberta"

All About Receiving Cash has enjoyed a warm and supportive relationship with the American Society of Addictions Medicine.  As far back as 1993, ASAM's Ray Baker was working with perpetually conflicted Kon shill Diane Mirosh to defraud the taxpayers of Alberta on behalf of AARC:

"Dr. Ray Baker, B.Sc., M.D., CCFP, Certified in Addiction Medicine, Director AMIR, University of British Columbia, in a letter to Diane Mirosh dated August 30, 1993. “I am writing to support a program in Alberta which may very well be one of the best models of treatment of substance use disorders in this whole country.  The program is AARC…I believe that this type of care is both cost effective and treatment effective, while at the same time achieving objectives sought after during this process of health care reform in our country, namely: early prevention and intervention in ambulatory patients by an interdisciplinary team offering community based care."

Now there are a couple of funny things about this sales pitch.  Firstly, the AARC model was simply a pared-down Seed /Straight/Kids thought reform program, right down to the Peer Counselors, Board members, the lobby group PRIDE and the imposter Dean Vause.  Secondly, the program had only been operating for a few months, with no evidence whatsoever to evaluate it's effectiveness.  At that time the Wiz hadn't even finished his "what I did last summer" story for Union to get his special PhD paper.

Fast forward to 2009, and All About Receiving Cash is looking for guidance in their cover-up strategy to Dr. Raju Hajela, also a fellow of ASAM:
"John Lojek to interview Patton or develop interview strategy Talk to Dr. Goretsky, Peter, Natalie about the study. Dr. Hajela?"

Word is that AARC was paying to send clients down to George Talbott's torture facility in Atlanta.  Talbott was the founder of ASAM.  Certainly All About Receiving Cash shares the curiously high suicide rate of former subjects with Dr. Talbott's operations.
"Many observers have noted the take-no-prisoners approach of Talbott and his staff (including his daughter-in-law, Dr. Martha Morrison, who attempted suicide when she entered Talbott's program but who survived after the belt she used broke!).
...In May, 1999, just after Talbott stepped down as president of ASAM, a jury awarded Dr. Leonard Masters, of Jacksonville Florida, a judgment of $1.3 million against Talbott, his daughter-in-law Morrison, and other Talbott associates for malpractice, fraud, and false imprisonment, based on Masters' stay with Talbott in 1994."

ASAM provids the pseudoscientific "addictions" nonsense to the private Palix initiative to propagandize Albertans with ASAM's phoney "Disease Model".

Back in '93, when All About Receiving Cash had just changed it's name from Kids of the Canadian West, Kon politicians had already begun whoring themselves out to the sect.  Diane Mirosh commenced to begging for money for the quack faith-based behaviour modification program within weeks of the first rap rituals being held on Forge Road.  At that time even the Kons themselves had enough sense to refuse to hand money to these scoundrels:

"We do not fund community
residential programs out of the Health Care Insurance Fund but
certainly will fund physician-based, acute care programs whether
they are within Alberta or outside of Alberta."
March 24, 1992 Alberta Hansard

Fast forward to 2015, and we get this band of the damned:
"The Alberta Mental Health Committee
Dr. David Swann, Liberal leader and MLA for Calgary-Mountain View, Co-Chair
Danielle Larivee, Minister of Municipal Affairs and MLA for Lesser Slave Lake, Co-Chair1
Tyler White, CEO of Siksika Health Services, Committee Member
Heather Sweet, MLA for Edmonton Manning, Committee Member"

...who sell us this massive load of bullshit:
"Addiction: An inability to consistently abstain; impairment in behavioral control; craving, diminished recognition of significant
problems with one’s behaviors and interpersonal relationships; and a dysfunctional emotional response."

...which comes from these dipshits:
http://www.ccsa.ca/Resource%20Library/CCSA-National-Summit-Addiction-Recovery-Backgrounder-2015-en.pdf

...who get the idea from this creepy lot of scoundrels:
https://www.asam.org/asam-home-page

...which leads to this sort of emotional clap-trap:
"I have reviewed the material you sent and have certainly concerns about the policies and procedures at AARC which I am now pursuing. I will be discussing it with various people in the addictions/mental health field so I have not ignored this new information.
I also have several people in my immediate circle who believe their child's life was hanging by a thread and was saved. This is not a 'black and white' issue."
Dr. David Swann

...all the while, we knew this over twenty-five years ago:
"Addiction does not meet the criteria specified for a core disease entity, namely the presence of a primary measurable deviation from physiologic or anatomical norm.2 Addiction is self-acquired and is not transmissible, contagious, autoimmune, hereditary, degenerative or traumatic. Treatment consists of little more than stopping a given behaviour."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3314045/

...and the Alberta Government and it's "advisors" are all set to bundle us all onto this crazy train:
"Above all, the unscientific approaches private clinics use to peg their success rates make us believe that these places sell false hope."

This document spells out very clearly the unfortunate relationship between the University of Calgary, the Palix Foundation, the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative, Hazelden, the LDS and All About Receiving Cash.

Nice to see notorious Hazelden fraud Ken Winters is keeping up his friendship with the Calgary thought reform community.  Also touching is the fact that AARC continues to be the focus of the academic work of AARC sect members.  Unique indeed!

Nine years after suing Christine Lunn for revealing the abusive and bizarre experiences suffered at the hands of the All About Receiving Cash sect's thought reform program, the criminal sect continues to put on a Cirque de Soleil-calibre show of cronyism in action.

Yet another Case Management judge has been appointed, the esteemed Nancy Dilts.  This lady is the former counsel for former AARC board member Dennis Feuchuk's Parallel Energy Trust.  Feuchuk, in addition to being an AARC sect member/parent, also employed AARC frenzy-killer Andy Evans' mother.  Evans' father was AARC's accountant, and has a full understanding of AARC's relationship to it's super-cool donors.

Yet again, CBC offers a platform to sell All About Receiving Cash.  This article offers up yet another dead graduate whose family loves All About Receiving Cash and uses his obit to beg for money for the sect, which, from what I understand, has millions of dollars in assets stowed away.

This however, is by far the kookiest statement I have ever heard come out of any 12-stepper or AARColyte:

"Like other parents in the documentary, they are also calling for decriminalization of illicit drugs based on an understanding that addiction is a chronic relapsing disease that makes people more vulnerable to overdose after they've been in treatment."

So basically, sending your kid to AARC is more likely to result in death, but it's vital that more resources go to treatment.  I couldn't make this shit up if I tried.

High five, CBC.

Subsequent to the revelations about the All About Receiving Cash behaviour modification program made on the CBC Fifth Estate episode "Powerless", lawyer Clint Docken undertook to represent victims of the unlicensed quack pseudo-treatment.  Many former subjects were ready to come forward and disclose the bizarre rituals and punishments that consistute the program, but suddenly Docken dropped the case like a hot potato.  How did All About Receiving Cash confirm that such an action was being undertaken, as their cover-up plan clearly indicates:
"We believe the following people are in the process of pursuing a potential law suit against AARC and have requested a copy of their AARC client file – Christine Lunn, Rachael O’Neill, Dalyce Urban, Jill Delf, Tara Thompson, Lisa Byram, Bodana Dye, Sarah Miller Dr. Vause spoke with AARC’s insurer, Jay Sinclair of BFL and they insure AARC is in good standing and prepared – We have received confirmation that a class action law suit is in process with lawyer Clint Docken – John Lojek has been instructed to do preliminary research into a potential class action suit.
Peggy to take over this with John."

A little over a month later, this is what one of the AARC victims reported:
"I spoke to Kim Johnson from Docken today. She said that a class action suit would not be possible because 'too many people feel the program helped them.'"

Now just how did Docken and Co. come to that particular calculation?  Oddly, Docken's ears apparently pricked up once Ann McCaig's name was mentioned.  More AARC Saskatchewan cronyism?

Why were AARC Empress Ann McCaig and the Wiz meeting with former MLA Jim Dinning as part of the AARC cover-up strategy after the airing of the Fifth Estate "Powerless" episode in 2009?  How exactly was Dinning to "help"?

Dinning was the Alberta Government rep sent to New Jersey in '89, along with Rotary Club industrial psychologist RK Dougan, to assess Miller Newton's "Kids".  D & D both liked the behaviour modification program so much that the Alberta Government gave $600k to set up "Kids of the Canadian West", which became All About Receiving Cash.
https://web.archive.org/web/20061104194557/http://www.kidsofbergencounty.com/C02-03-90.htm

No one from the Alberta Government has ever been held accountable for the money sent to Miller Newton's quack thought reform program, nor for the torture of the Albertans sent to Kids.  Odd that the Alberta Government sent Dinning, who was the Education Minister at the time, rather than a qualified expert on adolescent mental health.
"In short, Dinning achieved his corporate aims, so much
so that he acquired a nickname, “Diamond Dinning,” while
amassing a score of credits with Alberta’s elite, which he was
able to call upon later during the Conservative leadership race."

Here's a clilp of the Wiz explaining as best he can how convicted sex murderer Andrew Evans ended up back at All About Receiving Cash.  Either Evans was a thirty-two-year-old client in an adolescent program, or he was a convicted sex murderer counselling vulnerable adolescents.  Either scenario is as absurd as the other.
With the help of compliant media in BC, Nicole Parisien was painted as a sex worker who was killed by Evans in a delirous rage brought on by his use of ecstasy, hash and alchohol.  Like every other story related to AARC, it is absurd and seems to be a pack of lies.  The family of Nicole Parisien is adamant that she was not a sex worker, and there is scant evidence to support Evans' tale.  What is indisputable is the fact that Evans called Dean Vause after the murder, and Vause instructed Evans to return to Calgary.  And neither man called an ambulance for Nicole Parisien.  Roy Evans, Andrew's father, was the accountant for All About Recieving Cash, and could likely explain the million dollars per year in miscellaneous expenses and the curious relationship of All About Receiving Cash to super awesome guy Allan Markin.

In light of the failed effort by All About Receiving Cash to ammend their lawsuits against CBC et al, suits that began in 2009, it seems fairly evident that the sect is engaged in a kamikaze stalling effort.  The 2018 ammendment included this:

"In addition to the Sensationalism, the Powerless Production contained a number
of other defamatory statements, allegations, innuendos and criticisms of AARC,
including, without limitation, the following:...
(d) AARC is connected to the Kids program run by Miller Newton in Bergen County,
New Jersey, USA (the “KIDS Program”), which was eventually shut-down due
to, inter alia, the abuses that occurred in that program;"

There is ample evidence that AARC is Kids of the Canadian West reorganized and operating under an alias.

"MR. NELSON: Mr. Speaker, AADAC has been involved with
assistance in developing the program of the Alberta Adolescent
Recovery Centre since its inception originally as Kids of the
Canadian West."
Alberta Hansard, March 24, 1992

This old gem outlines the role of the disgraceful Dr. Martin Atkinson, active shill for the original Kids abomination in New Jersey:

Atkinson remained tied to the sect from the late eighties until at least 2009, when he acted on behalf of the sect in the cover-up after the Fifth Estate program aired.

"Dr. David Swann – Previous AARC Board member Dr. Martin Atkinson will be approaching Dr. Swann to provide information on AARC-Dr Vause"

The most telling quote from these old Kids articles comes from fellow Calgary doctor Stuart Neil:

"We're trying to have people come and have a look at the program and talk to us and understand the rationale behind it rather than sneak it in and hope nobody notices".

Clearly Doctors Neil and Atkinson were not dissuaded from the sneaking part when their rationale proved to be a great steaming pile.
