I read an account today of another murder committed by a former AARC inmate. This murder took place back in '04 in Airdrie. The killer, a twenty-nine-year-old father, beat his grandmother to death with a hammer. The murderer was apparently a drug-abuser, and his grandmother had refused him money. The Wizard put in a plug for AARC during the eulogy. The fellow, Jonathan Nelson, had left AARC, according to the Wiz, after Phase II, ten years before the murder. I find it interesting that ten years after AARC had failed to successfully treat this individual, his family was still willing to have the Wiz use the funeral as a stump to sell AARC. "Terrible disease, etc."

Other than the Alumnus article I cannot find any connection to the facts you allege Ajax. That source alone is insufficient, could you be mistaken on the name? Was it perhaps a step-sibling?

Sorry, but who are you that you decide whether something is sufficient or insufficient? Sufficient for what? Why don't you stick with connect the dots puzzles and leave grown-up talk to the grown-ups?

Where is the evidence that there was a murder at all? Where are the newspaper accounts? I have tried googling all the variables and find nothing. Dean's words are proof of nothing.

Ajax said nothing negative about the Nelsons nor did the take away from what pain or suffering they undoubtedly have gone through.
AARC exploits (and causes) temendous pain all the time to show AARC in a good light. So what is your point?

This came up on a google search but I got errors trying to open it. I'm sure the article could be found by contacting the Winnipeg Sun.
Not surprising that no local news can be found on this. Like the Andy Evans case the media seems to clam up on these AARC client murders.

Here's another article on the same murder. This other person they speak of who axe murdered the parents in Aidrie years ago, Stephen Ford, was he from AARC as well?

Man Pleads Guilty To Killing His Grandma In Airdrie

CALGARY/AM770CHQR - A drug addict has pleaded guilty to murdering his grandmother in Airdrie last year.
Court heard Jonathon Nelson had gone to his grandmother's house several times, looking for money.
Sometimes she would give him cash, but only when he pleaded it was for his common-law wife and three kids, and not for drugs.
But Jean Stouffer told her grandson "no" on January 9th, 2004.
Angry, he beat the 71-year-old woman with what prosecutors call a broomstick handle.
Nelson then went out and got a hammer with an anvil face on it, and struck the woman on the head several more times.
Drinking heavily earlier in the day and high on drugs, police later found the 29-year-old passed out in an alley.
Nelson pleaded guilty to second degree murder and received a life sentence with no chance of parole for 15 years.
