I am really horrified, and sickened by this new show.

my fear, which of course will become reality is that enrollment in wilderness programs will increase dramatically

they of course are showed a watered down version of what really happens at those places and now more children will be hiked to death out in the middle of nowhere.

ABC is now sacrficing children for ratings...wish I could pretend to be suprised.

I told all four that there are going to be some times where we don't
agree with each other, but that's OK. If this were a dictatorship, it
would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.

he faked it

Every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid."

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

George Tenent is the fall guy for a faulty administration.......

DICK CHENEY is the most perhaps the most powerful vice president in US history. I feel strongly!!!!!! that there is a fair amount of circumstantial evidence that Cheney, not Bush, is the real power at the White House and Bush the figurehead.

Why don't we abolish the CIA and make public, as the Constitution requires, the billions spent by the intelligence agencies under the control of the Department of Defense so that Congress might have a fighting chance in doing oversight?

ok...have at it.. PATRIOT

hmmmmmm

I have yet to kick a guy in the balls, I guess I am saving that for someone who really deserves it, like a mugger in a dark ally.

Its cruel, and I will wait until the moment is perfectly called for thereby keeping my karma intact.

Scoundrels are predictable, but you're a man of honor and that frightens me.

gentle would be pointless, of you are going to do something why do it half way.

George Bush and his 'lieutenant', Tony Blair, believed that a swift military victory over Saddam would be followed by the establishment of a pro-Western regime. This would enable imperialism to use Iraq as a stepping stone to reconquer the Middle East and guarantee cheap oil to lubricate the world economy. Instead, oil supplies are being targeted by Iraqi insurgents and its price remains relatively high.

Nearly 700 coalition troops have been killed since the official end of the war. That's over 500 more than during the invasion. Thousands of Iraqis have also died - many from coalition fire. Rather than pacifying the population, the actions of coalition forces have generated a new and potent Iraqi nationalism which has bogged down the US and its allies in a political and military quagmire.

The ghost of the Vietnam war now looms larger as each day passes. As Patrick Cockburn in the Independent on Sunday put it: "The tide is going out for the US in Iraq. They were not able to use their military strength against Fallujah and Najaf. They have very little political support outside Kurdistan. They can no longer win. It may be one of the most extraordinary defeats in history."

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / A Few Thoughts on Religion
« on: May 10, 2004, 11:39:00 AM »
my few thoughts on religion....

like Karl Marx said it is the opium of the people.

I think it is set up and designed to control and influence people, strip them of their individuality and cause them anixiety and grief over normal human thoughts and emotions while at the same time holding up the carrot of personal joy if one goes into the fold of their specific religion.

I don't believe in organized religion I think it is a fraud.

I think animal testing is a terrible idea;  they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Tacitus' Realm / For America Haters
« on: May 06, 2004, 01:04:00 PM »
Ok,
the cold war ended and the berlin wall fell....
the soviet union is broke and now tons of real weapons of mass distruction as in nukes are floating around and no one knows where the hell they are

is that better?? and if the USSR was so unscrupulous what is to say they haven't sold them all off to countries that would not hesitate to nuke "we the people"

you retracted the American hater statement, but I would like to touch on that sentiment anyway.

May people think that anyone who doesn't blindly support everything the government does is an America hater.

that is not the case, I can have ideals and dreams for what this country could be, and critisims for what is wrong and still love my country.
I have no desire to be wearing a long dress and be subservent to a man, that doesn't mean that I need to no longer be analytical about the realites of our country.

the lesser of the evils, that does not apply here

I don't blindly support anything, I refuse to just agree because one is not as bad as the other.

Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die
