you might also want to point out the connections between DFAF and the drug free workplaces programs for setting up drug testing programs and supplies to small businesses. Or their association with the Drug Free Communities programs, I believe that this is one of the ways they get Federal Grants, but you'd have to do some research on that- I think Wes has some of this on his site somewhere...Ginger details ??

Just to chime in, we homo's are a little touchy about the holocaust issue too- since we were also forgotten on purpose.

Of course, the program was persistent in conditioning meto believe that I was only sexually attracted to men because I was an addict, and that as a clean and sober person, I would be cleansed of this perversion.

Well I am clean and sober now, and you can guess the rest. Fascists.

parody. It is widely protected by the courts as free speech, just make sure that the very top of the page identifies itself clearly as parody. Establish terms of use that indemnify yourself- read some other sites terms and get an idea of what to write out.

Put your terms of use link right up top- make it clear, and you should be fine. If you like you could contact a lawyer for good measure.

Most of all- have fun. Be aware that DFAF reads these forums- so they may well run out and register all the DFAF names they can find- there are plenty left available.

Write to the IRS, let them know how you feel about providing tax exempt status to a foundation that refuses to allow you as a taxpayer access to an allegedly public forum.

You might consider asking the IRS to investigate whether 'legislative' activities constitute more than a minor part of what they do- It certainly plays a big part of their mission statement on their site.

The 501 c 3 rules say that they must remain a minor aspect of the foundation, and that they are strictly prohibited from supporting or fighting against specific candidates- I have no evidence that they have, but it is worht knowing the rules and keeping a close eye on them.

I know that writing to the DFAF may make you feel better, but I can't imagine that anyone will read more than the first one or two words before it is promptly deleted.

If you want a response, simply write to them and ask why you can't seem to post to the forum, nothing more.

Just my thoughts, your mileage may vary, and I am in no way suggesting that you take any action that is unlawful or conspiratorial.

Folks, in my humble opinion,  this forum will never be a public and open discussion- we all know what kind of threat that would pose to the driving concept of milieu control.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / VOTE TODAY

I voted in Cali today- my vote went to the green party candidate, both Grey and Bill are just too lame.

Incidentally- the poll workers were complete idiots- they tried to take our voter registration cards adn we had to raise a stink to keep it from happening. It made me wonder if these poll workers had ever voted themselves?

Check out this women who is running, allegedly in a non-partisan race, for the superintendent of schools here in Cali- does her screed about proper dress sound familiar?

My cult induced personality traits contributed to the destruction of a dozen or more relationships. They drove away friends, and destroyed my jobs repeatedly.

I asked my dad if he got a tax rebate last year, he did, they got $600 back. All he did was put it in the bank. The Bush Tax cut shaved 1500 of his federal tax bill, and it too went into the bank.

People get rich by saving money, not by spending it.

Incidentally - those rebates last year had to be financed by the government issuing debt in the form of a special round of treasury notes- so we are paying interest on the 40billion that we borrowed to give back to people who mostly didn't need it.It will take ten years to pay off those rebates alone.

My domestic partner has also struggled with the after effects and the difficulty of the healing process I will ask if he is willing to discuss it with other spousal units in the same situation.

Indeed this is why progressive taxation and income taxation is silly. Value added taxation is far more sensible, but the states really don't want the Feds imposing a national sales tax for fear that it will cut into their territory.

Also- on the Alternative Minimum tax- anyone with a good tax lawyer can easily avoid the AMT. A simple trust can generally keep assets and their income sheltered from the AMT. Even somthing as simple as investing in tax free muni bonds can take care of that.

On a side note- Bush and his economic team are currently getting ready to propose repealing the entire corporate income tax schedule and replacing it with a series of value added taxes. But you can bet that they will not be proposing such a plan for we lowly consumers and lower bracket people.

Yup this is the modern day version of straight foundation. look here for evidence. scrool down and click on name change history.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / HOW WOULD ONE BUY HIS STRAIGHT FILE

The policy of the foundation after 1985, as it was told to me when I tried to get my file, was to destroy all records other than an acknowledgement og enrollment three years after you separated with the program.

What that definition was with regard to people who seven stepped I cannot say, but for me as a withdrawal in 1985, my records were destroyed in 1988.

Since the program has been completely dimantled, and since the people who ran would most likely prefer that no records were ever made public, you can make it a pretty safe bet that there are no records at all remaining.

If you really want to find out though, you can contact the corporate officer listed on their corporate record, and have a lawyer make a registered request of records on your behalf.

Psychiatric records are rarely if ever released to the client, and are generally only released to other clinicians or lawyers.

For instance here in California, a clinician can actually be held criminally liable for releasing psych. records to the patient, if those records contain information or opinions that may be damaging to the psyche of the client.

This provides fantastic cover for programs like straight as they can easily deny these records to former clients on this basis.

Part of the sign in and sign out agreements included a agreement to destroy the records after a defined period, it may have varied state by state-

Any Sr. Staffers want to chime in on this one? I am speaking as a former trainee , and yes I also looked at my records while doing filing- it was not pretty. Indeed, while i was on trainee we were told tht we could no longer be in the file room without another trainee or higher present.

I wrote a couple of treatment plans, or what passed forthem at the cult, we were pretty cautious about putting in disparaging comments- I think that getting a fifth phase obs book intact would be far more revealing.

Is the forum at DFAF back up? There is a forum topic adna sinlge post from the Administrator, where is that durn clown when we need him/her?

Frank Zappa use to run his presidential campaigns on the premise of eliminating the income tax, taxing the churches and their business entities, and establishing a national value added tax, with exceptions for food and energy.

Keep in mind that one of the first things that resulted from the economic downturn early in the 20th century was a rebellion against prohibition.

Reason has a good article online right now about how the number of companies that are doing random on the job testing is falling, and how ineffective drug testing is in the first place.

Prohibition has never worked, and it will continue to reveal itself as a failing policy, and become far more obvious in its failure as the economic situation worsens.

The Bush Tax cuts, which overwhelmingly favor the top 1% of taxpayers, along with the huge runup in Federal spending on the military will result in massive budget deficits which will in turn force interest rates higher- tighening the debt markets and making it harder and harder for business' already saddled with huge debt loads to refinance their bonds and other corporate debts- all of this points to a period of massive deflation, and potential recession or depression.

And the last depression led to one  of the most liberal periods in the history of the country. The greatest atrocities are almost always commited at or near the end of a war, and so I think the end of the drug war may well be in sight.
