I think this will answer why Paul is soooo obsessed with Cruise, and persuading people to believe I am a front person for scientology. Scumbag."

I think this is the cure, it is a repeat, but not flooding:

"So that is what this is all about. Paul, versus the forum.

And of course confronting him, and telling him what he needs to hear is exactly playing into his hands, and giving that which he needs more than anything else.

Attention, and validation that his ideals are correct.

It's true that being a parent does not mean you can treat your child as you might wish to, but parents do it none the less.

When it happens of course children rebel. What right do their parents have to force any behaviour of choice from them? None at all. Where does child 'care' begin and end? Who is allowed to make such choices? Where does the childs 'rights' begin and end?

All good questions, and no real hard and fast answers. Unless you ask someone sufficiently motivated to give you a response of choice.

Like Paul it seems. And someone such as he, is simply dying to be asked, and dying to lecture you. It's what he does by admission.

If you ask the question, you can be sure he'll respond. He has to. He needs to. It's what motivates him. Don't complain when he does.

The best that you can do is offer him no credence. If you wish to, refute his words fact for fact. Don't argue opinion, argue the black and whites of your points, and if he chooses to not respond, or ignore your points? Do the same.

On this forum he is as equal as you. And his words have as much effect as you allow them.

Anonymous."

Wow!

Learn, choice, action ...

Such a difficult concept to grasp ...

Tireless? Who said there was a problem.

Staff: Ok, now take off all your clothes and squat.

What is wrong with the concept of helping those that might end up with the same plight your went through?

Newcomer: WTF???? Do what? What are you talking about?! I'm not stripping for anybody

S: That's just the druggie attitude that got you here! Now take off your clothes and squat!

and so on, and so forth for an indeterminate period of time till Newcomer splits successfully, graduates, turns of age or is pulled by their parents.

No shit, no exageration here. Some people did get sent to the Program simply for complaining. But we're not helpless children anymore. If you ever happen to meet a program vet in person I recomend you do NOT suggest that they did the necessary things to get themselves in the Program. Especially not in just those terms. It could be hazardous to your physical wellbeing.

Yep, from the moment of intake it's check your dignity at the door and then don't even think about getting outta here until you learn to LOVE THE PROGRAM (e.g. The Seed, Straight, CEDU, WWASPS) etc.

I don't think Paul gets it ... that kids are robbed of their dignity and their childhood whether they are/were forced into an anti-drug program or being force fed street drugs like Ritalin or Adderall by order of their parents, teachers or the courts.

I received this document from Safe Harbor today for review in regards to the Mental Health Services Act.

Here is a snippet to an email regarding this protocol:

The protocol is calld the Field Manual; it does not screen for everything, but it can find a majority of illnesses that might
otherwise be overlooked in a majority of patients, who can then be referred to a doctor to treat the illness(es) found. You can view the entire Field
Manual on our Web site at
http://alternativementalhealth.com/arti ... manual.htm.
I can also send you a hard copy.

Like I said regarding another issue today, this is a comprehension problem, not a content problem.

Ask me about any of my endevours!

Bummer, seriously.

Please don't take my suggestions for advocacy to protect those in the future as an insult. It is what I do, so it is a natural for me to recommend it.

Yes.

For instance if I mention voluntary to you, it is a sure way to get a nasty response.

If I mention getting accurate information on mental health issues, of each type of treatment, of any kind, I piss off a bunch of other people.

If I mention mental health advocacy, a whole bunch more get mad ...

Hence the signiture ..

That is why I think it is important, as an advocate, to suggest the knowledgable veterans of thes horrible experiences organize and get those stickers mandated on the phones at each school, so that the kids can call out and complain to the advocacy groups.

Further advocacy could be done, I suppose, for children in regular schools or homeschooling who are threatened with behavioral modification for complaining - to teach them how to complain and protect themselves. I am out of my sphere of experience at this point, so that is all I can suggest.

I would hope it never happens to anyone else in the future. How can it be prevented, is my question?

Ginger, I do appreciate this post.

I do think if someone is hell bent on insulting another person, that eventually that person may say something back. Should they be inclined to handle the response? Or lash out even more?

Regarding my laughing reading the posts, I should be clear, I was laughing aboue the discussion of reading the post, or not. It was funny, what can I say. Check it out yourself and tell me if it isn't funny.
