The Troubled Teen Industry / YLF 2008 raid schedule.. come one come all!

Ironically, you can use the NATSAP website to find programs by state, at least NATSAP programs. Go to http://http://www.natsap.org, then Program Directory.

This was what I found for WI, Rogers Memorial Hospital http://http://www.natsap.org/program_details.asp?id=140
I do not recall seeing this facility mentioned on the fornits site, but it might have been mentioned in threads I don't frequent.  Not listed on ISAC. Anyone else know about this program?

I was hauled into family court not by my husband but by his parents and my father working together. My dad even hired an attorney who's partner was on the board of Straight. All the judge needed to hear was that I was once in a drug program and was now drinking. Custody was given to the grandparents. They split the girls up, my oldest going with my dad and his wife (also a program parent) and my youngest going to my ex's parents.

This is so sad  :(. Hope you have reconnected with your girls.

I think we are also a culture that has become afraid of our teenagers, sadly.

I'm open to discussion.

Would it help to be strategic about this? Programs that would be good targets might fit some of the following criteria (and others I'm sure you can suggest):

1. Size of program - reaching the most students, etc.
2. Proximity of the main buildings to public areas, such as roads. I've seen pictures of Spring Creek Lodge, for example, and from those pics I would say no one would see you demonstrating.
3. Good documentation of abuse, and/or program survivor on the team.
4. Presence of parents/parents weekend.
5. Others?

Or am I just overthinking this? Che, I know you say any program any time...

Good point. I really hate the feeling of letting the bastards rule through fear, so this gives a person ideas. Thanks again.

Hi, Che,

Deleting cookies enabled me to login under AuntieEm2. Thank you. Apologies for the inconvenience. I'll wait to see if Antigen is willing to restore plain old AuntieEm. I know she is guarding against trolls, so I understand.

BTW, I have "program raid envy" for you and Psy. I worry about what they might do to my niece if I did this at BCA. I'd need to persuade someone like ZB to go with me for credibility. Hate to ask anyone to go back...

The Troubled Teen Industry / Mental health report card by state
« on: November 30, 2007, 03:36:35 PM »
Another organization, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), has issued a state-by-state report card for mental health. Utah gets a D. Idaho gets an F.

Isn't that special...

Castle, could you please post a link to the CEDU lingo wiki page? I'm sorry to be such a dimwit, but am not finding it searching at wikipedia.

Thanks,

Auntie Em
