My first educational consultant who referred by parents to SRA was
Yvonne Perier Jones, Ph.D.
Educational Referral Services
(206)323-1838
Specialties: School, Special needs
The address I have for her is old.
I did meet her once while I was at SRA when we had a formal dinner with a bunch of ed-cons.
The second ed-consult who referred my parents to DMR was
Linda Shaffer

Has anyone had any dealings with an educational consultant named George Posner?

Ummmm, Yes I remember him. I think he was at KHK inHebron Kentucky in 1989. Probably at least through 1990-1991.
He Had a daughter in the program too.....Shannon Posner... actually if I remember correctly I think that he had to children there but I do not remember the other ones name or if they were a boy or a girl....I want to say a girl.
Wealth of information here, I am...  Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and consciencious stupidity.

Were you referred to a program by him? If so, which one?

Well this is interesting - an Ed-Con that lists PTSD and.... everything else.

What? Really screw 'em up in the first place, then treat it?
I wonder if they use the escorts to haul away the kids with PTSD??

For me, we have been very fortunate to find a consultant that has provided us much needed support and information. So far, he has been very knowledgable about what our daughter needs. In Columbus, Ohio, every doctor we went to said "this is the guy to talk to". He charges a fee...and at first I thought it was incredibly high. But, now I think it's not. He has invested hours and hours into research and support.
OUr daughter is finishing wilderness therapy and will go on to a residential treatment program. (*save your flames, I've read them over and over and over again on other forums)
Andy Erkis works with parents all over the country, by the way. Here is his website: www.aerkis.com (http://www.aerkis.com)
I am not endorsing him, just letting you know, for US, he has been a great resource.

Your daughter will kill you.
That's the only flame.

He's invested hours and hours into research and support? Really, by doing what exactly?
