One last question Concerned Observor.  If AARC has a study, which it does, and which AARC also wrote, that shows that it cures 85% of it's inmates, does that mean it's okay to have somebody stand there every time you take a shit?

Once again Concerned Observer, I think your comments are bizarre.  AARC is sold now using such a study.  They get a diagnosis of every kid as a chemically addicted drug addict, and according to their study they cure 85% of them and they get children with diagnosed mental disorders off of meds.   Since Mel just stated at the end of the post what AARC is, why does you "wonder" what it is?  Every kid there is called a stage 4 addict.  Doesn't mean any of them are.  I live with a victim, so I don't ask what AARC is "if it is nonsense".  It is not just a psychological religious community, or "cult".  It is also a criminal enterprise.  Not if a study does not bear out it's claims, but because a con-artist/charlatan/hack psychopathic thief runs it.  There is no If concerned observer.  This is not a forum for a debate on the merits of AARC, this is for people who are talking about the harmful effects on them of a completely fraudulent, immmoral and illegal racket.

If that is the case, then I apologize to you Concerned Observer.  Anyone familiar with the story of Erin F. will know that AARC has no problem keeping a young person with a very minor drug use history, and encouraging that same young person to claim heavy use.  A few things are going on at AARC.  A con man is making his living off of charities,  the taxpayers, and misguided or deranged parents.  Children are being robbed of their minds, and enraged young adults are being turned out who can't understand what happened to them.

Some curious aspects to your posts, Concerned Observer.  Whether or not AARC can provide evidence of pre-admission work-ups is irrelevent, since nobody there is qualified to treat drug dependency.  Earlier, in another post you stated that the question of the validity of AARC's study was more important than the fact that they put children in charge of other children.  And more important than the fact that they send the children to stay in the homes of strangers who have produced children with allegedly serious drug problems.  And since Mr. Nodefinitelynotadoctorvause came from Kids, where he obtained the sum-total of his training in drug treatment, AARC is Alberta Kids.  So what about AARC is not suspect?

Further to the appropriation by The Leader of supernatural powers, what's with the slogan "Helping Teens Reach Their Twenties".  The arrogance and disingenuousness inherent in that statement is obscene.  This confers on Mr. Iamnotadoctorvause the power of life and death.   As long as they're breathing when they leave AARC then the job is done.  Not much of a goal for AARC.  Coca Cola or Nintendo could say the same thing with just as much validity.  Why is everything about AARC so amateurish and third rate?  Oh yeah, because it's run by a dodgeball expert and staffed by acolytes of his cult.  Guess that is the banality of evil.

Why would anyone from AARC choose to post on this site?  If the abuses cited here are fabricated, why would they warrant any interest from AARC?  With an "85% success" rate, why would AARC have anything to fear?  
I post in this forum for very specific reasons.  The crimes at AARC must stop.  Intimidation is a factor employed by AARC defenders.  I post here, and I refer to specific events and people, so that those harmed by AARC know that not everyone is afraid to tell the truth about this operation.  The parents and tax-payers and charity donors fleeced by Mr. Nudesaskatchewan1974doctorvause are victims as well, but they are adults and can be responsible for their choices.  
Children in AARC are at the mercy of people who have been given power as a reward for adhering to the will of The Leader, and that is wrong.
Mr. Fastestmanintheworlddoctorvause misrepresents himself consistently, yet he is not placed on Zero Club.  Perhaps if he were accompanied by a teenager while using the toilet, he might rethink his vocation in life.  Then again he might not.
Whether some claim to have been helped by AARC is irrelevant.  Kirby Puckett, former major-leaguer, used to claim that eating Vick's Vaporub helped cure his colds, but it doesn't make it so.
The fact that AARC harms children is irrelevant to it's operation also.
AARC operates to provide monetary gain, prestige and power to the leader.  This is accomplished by manipulating the fears of parents, breaking the will of child victims, and preying on the desires of well-meaning individuals to make a difference in their communities.

That's a nice try friend from AARC.  Jeremy G., 1997.  Currently, I believe, incarcerated in Drumheller.  R in question caught in flagrante on AARC property, ca. 2001 with female oldcomer while he was a staffer.  A principle weakness in AARC is lying.  Every time you lie, the truth is just around the corner waiting.  As to my friend, the person who informed AARC about her at AA was Marty H., renowned non-psychologist and friend to AARC.  Maybe you'll be sporting an orange jump-suit, picking garbage with The Leader, anonymous guest?
The only thing protecting AARC right now is the fact that so many people were swindled by Mr. Princessgraceofmonacodoctorvause that embarassment and denial keeps folks from admitting that AARC is just a cult.  The good burghers don't want to admit that a guy trained to teach dodgeball took millions of dollars from them to torture children.  But the kids are adults now, and, to coin a phrase, the chickens are coming home to roost.
Thanks again anonymous guest supporter of AARC.  You folks are going to make this easy.

The AARCies are unlikely to drink the Flavorade.  However, some of the more devoted may have to fall on their swords for the world famous dodgeball expert Mr. Thereisnogodbutdoctorvause.  For those of you not affiliated with AARC who happen to come upon this site accidentally, probe your memories for some old time faves: Mr. G laying the smack-down with Mr. Fifthbeatledoctorvause; Jeremy G.,admirer of lovely young newcomers, and Mr. R*******y, also a fancier of the ladies and their twelve-year old sibs.  More to come as the tsunami of criminal evidence builds.  Can't wait to see Mr. Bestnewartistdoctorvause in an orange jump suit picking up garbage beside the Deerfoot!

My friend, former detainee of AARC, and I were discussing some  aspects of AARC's nature as a cult.  She related an incident to me wherein she was speaking about her experience in AARC at an AA meeting.  A person in the group then contacted AARC with her identity, and AARCies then began to harass her by telephone.   Score another one for 12-stepology and for AARC.
Just in passing, for any people not affiliated with AARC in any way who just happen to come upon this site, please don't put any rattlesnakes in my mailbox.  
For those of you who lived through AARC, justice may be slow in coming for you, but The People's Temple of Alberta is built on greed, lust for power, lies and fear.  It won't stand forever.

I have contacted the board member of the Canadian Society of Addictions Medicine  for Alberta, as this was a forum to which AARC claims to have presented their study and I am awaiting a reply.  A cursory look at  the facts about the study on AARC's website shows it to be completely without scientific value, and some brief analysis of those facts is in another post on this forum.
