Relative to the 1988 Scream/Rage/Scorched earth Power staff Tim Brace was relatively mellow.
Sure he fullfilled his weekly mandatory yelling quota but his yelling was a pleasantry compared to the likes of Steve Rookie, Stacy Wasserman, Caroline Wolfe, Randy Eide. (I'm surely forgetting a few other fucknuts...)
Tim was the headmaster. Therfore he wielded ultimate power 24/7. He didn't have to scream. He killed you with kindness.
His stare was his power weapon not his vocals. He'd pull you in under his wing and speak to you of the promised land. These tender little moments fortified your belief in the kool aid master plan. After a special moment with Tim you were enthusiastic about being a model CEDU student and ready to conquer the world.

Sending your kid to a CEDU clone/derivative is playing russian roulette with your child's long term development.
A majority of the time you'll get the short term boost. They'll graduate. They'll go to college.

Although, weekly quota would suggest some sort of rational approach.
Rookie came straight out of the Spokane restaurant scene.
Interviewed with RMA after he felt a 'hey, I've got a wild hair up ass - let's save the world tomorrow' notion.
Took a kitchen job at RMA.
Spent time working the Kitchen. Rose to master culinary rookmeister.
Rose to family counselor. Rose to family head. Rose to school head.
And finally rose to Monarchy.
Back to the original point - Rookie was/is on a 24/7 scorched earth power trip.
Damaged teenage goods bow down.

MBA, Hyde & SLBTS.
Hyper saturation in random "Left field", "1 size fits all" quack therapy can't be good for someone needing specific treatment for a specific condition.
A respectable university needs to research the suicide rate for bi-polar and/or "addiction prone" indiviudals that attended TTI programs.
This will be the 1st step.

When asked to discuss whether Syanon impacted The Education of Mark Hughes, Mel Wasserman replies that, in addition to Synanon techniques, he also used his own experiences in conventional therapy to mold his program. He also says that he was not a fan of Dederich, whose sessions could get brutal and assaultive. He was aiming for something warmer: "There was a lot of conflict between me and some of the people I hired from Synanon. They wanted to redo Synanon. I didn't want a place where we had so much power that people would pee in their pants when you walked by. Synanon was fear-based. Our work was feeling-based."
One aspect of CEDU that was reminiscent of Synanon that was reminiscent of Synanon was the school's money-making acumen. By the early seventies, Synanon had recycled its trippy, quasi-spiritual rehab techniques into a very successful fund-raising program. Synanon molded its members into an army of fund-raisers-called "hustlers" at the time-who went door to door from corporation to corporation, persuading people to hand over money to help keep addicts off the streets. In this spooky, sometimes scary period of revolution, such a project seemed pretty attractive to corporate squares, who shelled out big bucks. CEDU's students were encouraged to open their minds to letting the cash flow. "Wasserman was trying to develop what we had in Synanon-a hustling system where we would send out our own people to heads of companies and ask for money," says D.D. Harvey, a Presbyterian minister and former long-time Synanon member. It was this fund-raising mania that launched Mark Hughes.
