Title: Binge drinking holidays are safe but challenging
Post by: Oscar on February 28, 2013, 04:51:26 AM
12,000 Danish students have visited Prague who has marketed themselves as the destination for binge drinking holidays in Europe.

Only minor incidents have been reported. The conclusion is that a binge drinking holiday is a rite of passage towards adulthood no child should be without.

The newspaper Prague Monitor states that the police had been prepared and only minor incidents have taken place during the week when you take into account the large number of tourists.

However many of the teenagers have complained. The beers were not as cheap as they were supposed to be and the local population seemed to suffer from xenophobia towards tourists in general. Maybe it is a problem for them that they live in a country which have nothing to offer tourists beside binge drinking? It is not to know.

Maybe students should not visit foreign cultures when they come from a superior culture. The Danish parliament are in the process of making new laws which prevent travel agencies from putting photos of happy teenagers on their websites as happiness show that there are cheap alcohol for sale. Only the future would show if Danish students will visit countries abroad in the years to come.
