The process of solidifying group think mythology is interesting to watch.

I'm an adult who posted things on the internet, and people found them. I talked about my job and using their internet which could get me fired. These are my mistakes, and I can live with them, even if posterX tries to get me fired. I'm a big boy, and I will live with the consequences of being naive and trusting.

If I was trying to convince parents about the lack of credibility, and danger of coming here for advice, I'm sure the recent case of a 15 year old girl's family being stalked, hacked and publicly humiliated would be a much better argument for me to make. But that's not my agenda, despite the constant guessing and theorizing about why I post here. I am just here to share my experiences, and my opinions and things I think about sometimes. I went to treatment programs, one of which has its own forum here, and I earned my right to my opinions. This forum claims to be an open free for all, I accept that. It appears many other posters do not. I suggest you take it up with the admins and beg them for your "safe place" and they might pity you enough to create your own little forum on the bottom, that gets a couple posts per year.

If my agenda was to convince parents not to post here, it really wouldn't be that difficult. But don't you think I might choose a more suitable screen name, to retain some credibility for myself? If my goal was to lie and to portray a person who loves all programs that ever existed, and sell a specific program, is this how I would really go about it? Don't you think I might post links to programs in my signature, and collect my referral fee? Better yet, don't you think I would mention the name of the program I went to? The answer to these questions does not fit in with the current conspiracy theory, so they aren't asked. People refuse to accept the simple truth that I am somebody who went through a program on this forum (no I don't call myself "survivor" ) and I have opinions that, gasp, differ from the acceptable cult speak that is rehashed again and again here by the same small group of extremists.

Think about it, how many kids have gone through various treatment programs? All the different types of programs, you know that you all love to paint with the broad brush of abuse and injustice. Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Fornits is probably the biggest forum that exists related to the TTI, and as people have explained, this is where the extreme anti program people like to hang out. How many of you are there? 5? 10? 15? Now divide that number by the number of kids you think went through programs. What does that equal out to? Probably close to 0.0000001% or thereabouts. You represent a extremely slim minority, who are vocal and militant about their views. Whooter's position, my views, they are very mainstream and typical. But remaining in the group think and echo chamber that fornits is, people start to assume that reality is represented here, when in fact this place is a den of angry extremists. In the political spectrum, you are the equivalent of white supremacists, the black panthers, and other political extremists groups that represent a tiny population but are militant and aggressive in their views/actions. Those people believe they are right just as much as you do. Time to look in the mirror fornits, you might not like what you see.

People aren't whining about gold fish, Suck Fish.  This is why I detest your contributions to the forum.  You take legitimate trauma and turn it into a gold fish eating scenario.

You're right, they're whining about snickers bars and cake. Feel free to ignore this thread, and all my posts, it won't bother me at all.

Suck It, this is not the forum for you. This forum has an intended bias against bad programs.  Some people here are extreme in their perspectives, but that does not mean we should to cater to Kool aid drinkers and shills.  Many people came to this site after heavy trauma - they deserve a safe place.  This place isn't what it used to be because of the Machiavellian machinations of Whooter and some dumb assed internal drama a few years ago, but it is still a haven for some.

Find another site for more moderate perspectives. And get the fuck out.

If you think fornits is a safe place, you are just as naive and ignorant as those who have been intimidated and blackmailed by the extremist posters on this website. I could search and quote the owner of this forum specifically stating this is not a safe place for survivors, but I don't really feel like it, you can search for the multitude of explanations as to the true nature of this forum if you please. Or you can keep wishing and hope it becomes what you want it to be, keep your eyes closed and ignore the evidence proving this is hardly a safe place for anybody, even the "survivors". I will post here as I please, if you have a problem with that take it up with the admins. Thanks for being so polite and mature.

Aww. Yeah, it's probably fake, posterX hasn't been back with the goods.

Good point.  If PosterX was real he'd be back here publicly outing SUCK IT, not just (supposedly) calling his boss.

I don't know if posterX is going to post my information or follow through with their threats to contact my work. I have been in private contact with posterX and made my appeals, and they know, as we all known on some level, that there is a God and one day we will be judged for our actions. I know many people here are salivating at the chance to ruin my life, and posterX might be the new fornits hero if and when he destroys my livelihood. I appeal to posterX's decency and humanity and have asked them to please allow me the right of free speech, as given to me by this forum. I guess we'll all have to wait and see what happens.

Look at it this way: SUCK IT's arguments are so weak that he has to manufacture some "blackmail drama" in order to discredit "Fornits" and try to make people feel it's "unsafe."  If he had any intellectual acuity he could make valid points that would hold up under scrutiny.  Since he can't he cries "Poor me!  Fornits threatened me!  I feel unsafe!"  It's the trademark of the loser.

You, as well as every other poster here know, I don't need to manufacture a blackmail drama. If this was my intent, I would just highlight the fact that a 15 year old girl's parents were blackmailed here, and the entire family publicly humiliated. Wouldn't that be more effective in scaring off parents from posting here? I think so, but then again, I'm not theorizing about people's motives and spinning a new theory every five minutes. I have been honest about why I post here, and about what I post. People are free to believe me or not, I don't really care. People who are open minded and want a better understanding of the true reality of treatment outside of the black and white extremist thinking here probably enjoy my posts. The agenda driven extremists willing to use blackmail to silence inconvenient opinions are probably annoyed by my honesty. I think it's clear which group you belong to at this point. I haven't posted a person's information here in an attempt to blackmail, intimidate, or humiliate them. You have.

When I was in fourth grade, we would all sit cross legged or "indian style" was the non politically correct term we used back then. Our teacher would read to us and then ask us questions during the story. She had a box of gold fish crackers, and if you answered a question you would get a few goldfish. They tasted really good, and it solidified my love of goldfish crackers for life. If this story took place in a program, people would theorize about how evil this action is, but since it happened in public school its just a normal every day occurrence.

This douche SUCK IT started 10 threads about me in one day calling me a "child rapist,"

You term for what staff do to children in programs is "mindfucking". This is the term you use, not me. You also claim that all kids in programs are imprisoned against their will. Well, if the kids are being "mindfucked" against their will, could this not be considered "mind rape"? This is using your own logic, dysfunction. I call you a "mind rapist" because this is how you describe yourself, and what goes on in programs. I think it's a logical conclusion based on the terms and claims you make yourself. If you "mindfuck" a child against their will, couldn't you be called a "child mind rapist"? Since you received a paycheck in exchange for this mindrape, then you are a paid child mind rapist. This is using your own terminology, not mine.

I posted all the information about myself on facebook too. It takes people like you, and posterX to compile it, and then use it as a threat against someone simply for holding opinions that go against the acceptable group think here on fornits. This claims to be a discussion forum open to all views and opinions, and invites everyone to post here. Yet the gang of thugs that makes up the fornits regulars don't see it that way, and they will use any shady tactic necessary to silence those they disagree with. The more you guys bully people and threaten them, the weaker your argument gets and the less people will trust you.

It's clear to anybody who regularly visits this forum that it's not safe to post here. Unless you stick within the confines of the accepted group think, then you'll probably be safe. But don't stray too far away from the accepted narrative, because the consequences will be rained down upon you, no matter who you are.

In my view this is simply a propaganda operation to manufacture "evidence" that it is not safe to post here...  Evidence that can be shown to parents or other concerned citizens to prevent them from posting or freely expressing their views.

You know full well there is no need to manufacture any evidence that fornits is not a safe place to post. Just go ask the 15 year old girl recently came here for advice, how trusting fornits posters really are if they will use your personal information against you to blackmail you. Or did you forget about that already? Their families information was released because the parents did not bend to the will of the blackmailers and refuse to send her to treatment as the blackmailers demanded. This type of thing is a regular occurrence on fornits, it seems to be a favorite tactic of the anti treatment extremists.

Just this morning you have a former program staff post the full name, address, phone, profession, and link to their myspace account of a poster here who has opinions contrary to the acceptable group think. I also noticed that this certain ex program staff was MIA for a while prior to my information being posted, then showed up to do a victory dance the moment I was being blackmailed and made lots of posts. Coincidence? Perhaps. But I think people should be very wary of people like Dysfunction Junction who has just proven to everyone by posting a person's information under his real username. I think he is also posterX, but this time he wants the credit so he posted under his real username this time.

So is it safe to post on fornits with contrary opinions to the accepted group think? Even if you believe the conspiracy theory that I made this whole thread up, Dysfunction managed to prove the fact fornits is a gang of bullies this morning, what type of conspiracy is going to be spun to cover that up? I am now Whooter, posterX, and dysfunction junction? I await to see the construction of yet another elaborate theory to explain this all.

I just feel that there should be some sites that are a safe haven for those who need it.

This topic has come up before on fornits, and people have tried doing what you say should happen. They made forums and websites that were highly controlled and for "survivors" harboring anti treatment sentiments. They have all since failed. Struggling people, Anti-WWASP, all the various moderated forums here on fornits that get no posts, not to mention the much hyped and promoted "program website division" forum on the bottom of the stack here at fornits that was supposed to shut down programs once and for all. For some reason when you take away free speech, and try to make a "safe haven" of similar thoughts, the discussions whimper out over time and eventually there is nothing but silence. The only reason fornits is a successful forum and every other forum related to the TTI has failed, is because fornits is an open discussion, and all the others sought to control it in some way.

If kids are being abused in programs as much as people here claim, it should be fairly easy to counter any argument made by Whooter, to parents coming here for advice (if there are parents that naive and ignorant enough to come here any more). There are half a dozen "survivors" here who all have stories about abuse, I would imagine? Whooter is but one poster. If Whooter's arguments and opinions cause so much trouble for the group here, you might want to take a look at how effective your own strategies are at convincing people of your views. It would appear, based on how mad people are at Whooter for posting here, that his strategy is a lot more effective than the haters.

And as far as Fornits being obligated to be bipartisan - more BS. This forum worked best when it was true haven for survivors and advocacy - unfortunately, this has dimished in the past few years.  Pro program BS'ers can post their reunion raps somewhere else as far as I am concerned. Enjoy the cake.

Yet here you are, bumping this thread you hate to the very top, thus generating further conversation related to its topic about positive experiences. There are literally thousands of other threads on this forum, if you dislike this topic and opinions contrary to the group think here then you might want to try posting in them. You could even start your own thread about negative experiences, and ignore me and my threads completely. This goes for all posters who dislike my opinions, feel free to ignore me. I won't mind at all.

No, the person who PMed you lied. I am attacked here for being too honest, and my honesty is now being used against me. I don't need to make anything up or lie, the truth speaks for itself.

No.  The person who sent me the message has no reason whatsoever to lie.  You believe that the ends justify the means and so lying about people who oppose programs is A OK.  Just like staff in programs justify their actions and their lies, saying "Outsiders just wouldn't understand what's necessary to help these kids".  "Honesty" has a whole other meaning to you.

You're right about one thing, though.  The truth does speak for itself and everybody sees through you now.  If you aren't the person I was thinking of then my guess is you were never even in a program.  Doesn't really matter anyway.  You're just one more propagandist here to defame, spin, and deceive parents into thinking their kids are safe in program hands...  and in WWASP of all places.

Somebody constructed a theory and PMed you it. You adopted it as fact without any proof at all. This is exactly what is wrong with fornits. There is no possible way a "friend" of mine knows I am posterX, because the fact is I'm not. I've heard a lot of conspiracy theories about myself, this isn't new. I offer honesty in my posts, and I post here without an agenda. I don't worry about who I might offend if I say something truthful, I'm not here running political games. I'm here to share my experiences and opinions based on my time in treatment, exactly what this forum is supposedly for. The fact that this bothers people so much shows the hypocrisy in these welcoming statements, fornits users do not practice what they preach.
