Sorry, Greg - I've edited my reply!  Something in a previous post touched a hot spot and I was responding to that post...not what I've quoted you saying here. I was involved VERY DEEPLY in the scene but was very discerning in what ended up on the streets. Yes, PCP is an animal tranquilizer & THC is a hallucinogen - two totally different drugs w/ totally different effects. You were probably very lucky to have experienced "one of the worse experiences of my life" if this prevented you from continuing your abuse of that drug; others were not so fortunate.

For the record...that's what happened upon my intake - consequently, my mom got rid of those clothes and the rest of my 'sleazy' wardrobe before I returned home. We went on a shopping spree and I got a whole new wardrobe, for a whole new me!

Hey John, I made a similar post a while back which seemed to be ignored and attacked also... don't fret. I have my list of friends who are/were "deadinsaneorinjail".

Although I appreciate their collective talents in creating and moderating this site, albeit the "Greg-n'Ginger pony show", it's been nice to be able to connect w/ past friends.

OK - this is the way it was "for me"...I came into the Seed in an extreme condition.  They conditoned me by means of "another" extreme.  After graduating, I managed to 'balance' out and find 'MY center'. No harm, no foul, to my life. I just grew up and got on w/ my life. I won't say the "Seed" gave me the tools, but watching my 'peers in practice', certainly proved to be an example of how I wanted to live my life and I incorporate most of what I learned there and then some!! Thanks Walter for acknowledging "Perhaps it was not that way for you." I truly respect that... :nworthy:

For the record...even as F***ed-up "druggies" neither my brother nor myself ever "ratted out" anyone!  I always believed it should be a personal "choice" (as it was mine) of an individual or parent to enroll or enlist in the Seed. I had more integrity than that and opted to speak w/ my friends directly to share my experience and hope. Some came on their own, others did not. Sorry, I know many of you did not have an option.

On another note, last night I just watched the movie "Thirteen" and if ANY of you doubt the condition "I" was in when I "volunteered to enlist", PLEASE watch and know I went quite a bit further than the cast in the movie! Albeit, filmed for the 2000 something generation, the movie is a great depiction of peer pressure at "13" - whether it be in the 70's or later.  Families were way dysfunctional long before those of you who think the Seed messed 'em up!!  Get with it!!

Maggie...You are still a "dude magnet"!  Seriously, I am so happy to hear all is well w/ you and yours. I know it's hard to tell from most of these posts, but there are those of us who "took the best and left the rest" from the Seed. Anyway, I have an awesome group photo (thanks to a dear friend)which was taken at the "P" estate in Tarpon Springs.  I know you know who I'm talking about and I would love to share this w/ you.  E/M me and we'll be in touch, OK?  Good to hear from you!!

When I 'stumbled' on this forum, (actually, in a time-warp, googled "The Seed" one night) I was ecstatic! What a hoot to find all of us 'pros' and 'cons' discussing something obviously very near and dear to ALL of us! It was great to read all the posts, opinions, memories and trivia.  We've all shared our sentiments, sorrows, elations, etc.  It's brought a flood of memories to the front of my brain I had stowed but will never forget.  Yes, it's bitter-sweet, with all our wonderful stories and varied perceptions (as clarified as they are) the obvious fact remains; we are all fairly intelligent individuals with our passions, soul and spirit intact. Therefore, the slant towards the "cons" vs the "pros" is not dissimilar to the reporting of LA Times, Washington Post, Tampa Tribune or Orange County Register.  The bummer of it all, is the fact this forum has become very sophmoric and is no longer informative nor educational.  My point is, grow up, move on and, dare I say it, again..."Get the fuck over it already!"  Those of you who disagree w/ my statement can move on -I am WAY OVER being sucked into your 'miserable, drama ridden, resentful, hateful, paranoid, little world that you people seem to thrive in.  My humble opinion??? You have WAY too much time on your hands and SHOULD be on your GRATEFUL KNEES to whomever you worship, giving thanks that you are ABOVE ground for Christ's sake!!

Really have lost my interst and/or compassion to 'share' w/ most of you anymore.  That's the way to KILL a good forum...
