I set that BROKEN marble floor along with Hank Madsen before he became staff. It had nothing to do with art or his attitude towards women. My dad donated a lot to the seed and did the marble floor upstars in the confedrence room. This was done out of appreciation for getting us help.

Ricci here,I used to live with Brian the Golfer. I was at Ft. Lauderdale and hung around Hank before he became a staff member. It is good to see you are doing well. I am doing engineering work now and Have been at the sme place for over 26 years. I was also angry when i left the seed mostly because I did not understand why I was shunned. But that's ok I got over it guickly. My dad was dying and I did not have time to think about those people. Anyway good to see you are still around and your ok. Have a great holiday and be well.

Ricci

Gregfl said:  One small point John...that post you allude to indicated that persons at the St Pete Seed were punched BY Their parents at the direction of the staff. This in fact is well documented in the press and I have an indpendent memory of it occuring to two seperate people. Also, the threat was made to the group that it could happen to anyone. Hell, my father even remembers this as it was great topic of conversation among the parents. Of course he alledges he would have "never participated".

I am not alledging you had ANY involvement in this as I have no recollection of you being there during this fiasco, and it was admittedly done over a short period of time. However, this story made the local and national press . I will be happy to forward you a copy of the article where it appeared.

Okay, I can't shut up.

greg can you forward me a copy of the article-I barely remember this happing. I had a hard time believing this until the end of my daze!

I was a grad of the 84 room. I remember playing softball and I was one the guys who work with Robert (a black staff member) at Art's house. I also worked on Art's boat when it sank. I have a lot of fond memories of the Seed, I was on staff for a grand total of about two weeks. I knew right away it was not for me. Suzie was always trying to get other people to do her work for her. The staff members played the same game on me after I left staff-the guilt trip-not good enough. but I hung with some other guys who were pretty decent people and had fun with them. I am glad I went. I was lost, confused and angry 16 year old. I had a lot of resentment when I left.
As the years went by I saw that what I learned at the Seed still applied-so weather I was conned or not the words were correct and to be honest with myself and keep challenging myself still applied. As I stated befoe I was angrya nd went back out for a long time. Then I guess I grew up and don't even drink anymore. I feel a lot better now-but mainly due to growing a pair.
