well interesting thats just north of me im in Springfield MO and i SAW i girl that matches that not long ago with a sign saying she was homeless i thought it was odd at the time becouse she looked so young but didnt thing any thing of it becouse we have 3 collages in this town O.o FUCK wished i had seen this thread sooner

Fun fact
Psy probably signed him self in as did i and im sure 90% of us at the place
why? becouse 1. some of us trusted our parents or 2. it was that or be homeless and in some cases 3. that or face jail time for some

now here is the kicker this imo could be considered duress in which case any thing we signed is meaningless

That said, do you think a palm full of baby powder could temporarily blind someone?

That I know from helping to supress a riot at Three Springs. Wasn't a pretty scene, but had it been properly timed the entire program would have been left helpless to respond.

Clearly this idea needs expanding upon. Anyone want to post flyers out front of programs once we work something up? It would give the programmies the worst case of heartburn ever just thinking about it.

unless every one is on board it wont work and you wont get every one no way it will say hidden the the time it would take SOME ONE will spill and the whole place will be on lockdown

got to love that good ol' boys network

They are already incarcerated, so how is the threat of being legally incarcerated an overwhelming concern?

depending on the program jail might be better >.> thats not saying much

but yea most programs go to leinghts to keep this from happening

wait wut did they just pretty much admit to brain washing and people are just brushing this off
*facepalm*

It doesn't matter whether you get the point they want you to get, or whether you even agree with them entirely. What matters is that you've dwelt on the issue for a period of time (by reading the "article"), and that you have vague associations with it stored in your memory, none of which are positive.

i fixed it for you

when people on death row have more rights some thing is very very wrong

you know i was just reading the bill
"‘(1) CHILD- The term ‘child’ means an individual who has not attained the age of 18."
all the over 18 programs are going find a way out of this >.>
that needs to be changed to include young adult programs as well

The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) has learned from being blind-sided by Congressman
Miller in 2007. They are now becoming increasingly effective by aggressively presenting their perspective to Congress and the public.
As an example of a NATSAP activity, I just returned from a trip to Washington DC in mid-June where I participated with NATSAP
in presenting a positive perspective to the staff of several Senators regarding the Miller legislation. The Miller legislation passed the
US House of Representatives earlier this year and has been received by the US Senate for consideration.
In anticipation of possible Senate action sometime this year or next year, we talked with key staff of about a dozen Senators. The
representative of a Washington DC law firm was very efficient in setting our appointments and escorting us around the Senate Office
Buildings. The staff politely listened, with some already quite aware of some of the schools in this network. For others, this was the
first they had heard of this type of school and program.
With a similar exercise next month in Washington DC, NATSAP is aggressively making sure the Senators are aware of the need
for this network in serving the needs of parents and their children with problems and the dangers of draconian regulation.

Uh, this needs to be countered several times over, starting right now.

+1
start writing letters give your bios
let them know whats really going and dont let the lobbyists win
there trying to save there cash cow like every lobby group in DC
Let your reps see the faces of the people that have been abused
let them know there are 100s of children and young adults being held in "programs" "for there own good"
Organize group trips to DC and help others that might not be able to affored getting there TO GET THERE
Let them know these places do not work and may make thinks worse for some
Programs must be held to the same standards as any other mental health clinic or hospital
proper licensing is a must; Staff background checks are a must; Staff must be head to the same standards as any staff in places such as schools and hospitals
these place must not let former addicts and felons be in places of power over clients
