D,

Did I know you?

I always wonder what happened to everyone;

I split when I thought i was to be started over - and have wanted to get back in touch with others there when I was there.
I think I became an "unperson" and was treated like a leper when I ran into someone at the mall or something - I stayed in the area.

PM me

I was  Johnny G or "G"

guest 3 implies a relationship with a police chief enhances credibility:

"susan was married for years to north bay village chief of police. so, don't dispute her claims.
they are factual."  guest 3

I am not disputing anything.

It is ironic that the police are held in high esteem in this conversation, given their treatment elsewhere in the forum.

A relationship with a police chief provides a seal of approval for honesty?

It has been said that the seed was a rip off of Art Dietrichs Synanon program - No Syanon, no Seed, no Straight

No Federal treaatment dollars, no Synanon ...

Straight was run by another bunch, by their own set of standards, don't paint them all with the same brush;

Neither one is better/worse than the other but don't make the mistake of assuming they are the same organization.

Straight was a rip off of the seed - Mel Sembler and others decided they too could get into the rehab business, and leave art barker out of it.

My understanding is that it was started by ex seed folks.

They were much more widespread than the seed ever was, hence much more attention from the media and the courts- and much more profitable.

Seems to me that an overwhelming majority of these headlines refer to straight, not the seed;

I had been gone for a while when the seed moved from SR 84, but happend by after the main building had been taken down - during the road work.

I got a wooden sign from the back gate out to the ball field - (near the kitchen).  The main building was already gone. I think I still have it somewhere.

Hey Seth,

Glad to see you are still around - I'm putting off 50 as long as possible!

My son just beat me at chess several times in a row, my game is nowhere near where it was when we played.

I am into the 50 yr old dad thing, too

I look around and see how late in the game I started, but it is a hoot!  I get to be the old guy at the father daughter stuff.

30 years! and it is nothing like yesterday!  It is just bits and pieces -
