Title: New To Fornits? An Advisory...
Post by: Anonymous on October 27, 2007, 11:45:53 AM
The bellicose postings and attacks on opponents of Behavior Modification programs and program survivors are by individuals with financial ties to the abusive teen industry.  The recent GAO hearing concerning the industry and resultant media attention has caused these individuals to lash out in defense of programs.  The poster known as TheWho has a financial interest in programs, specifically investment of capital.  CCMGirl1989 has connections to an educational consultant.  Comments made by these posters ("trolls") are intended to subvert and disrupt discussion of relevant issues, and should be regarded as propaganda of the abusive teen industry.   [/color]

As a long time fornits poster and reader I find that way too confusing for me.  You are mucking up my thinking with categorizing them.  Lets keep it “black and whiteâ€

Previous poster is TheWho. No one else here uses the same formatting he does.

The fact that he needed to try to hide himself speaks volumes.

Connections to an Educational Consultant? I don't refer to programs. A lot of people here would like to believe that I refer to programs, and get financially compensated for it. But, that is not true.

People have asked me about my experiences, and I do my best to be honest and open with them.

The end.

No real denial there, only an example of what programs call "re-direction".  Do you refer people to an EdCon?

No denial from TheWho, either.

Excellent thread folks,  A true classic (well close anyway)

If any of you remember the witch trials in the 1600’s I think you will see a comparison in logic here.

“If they threw a woman in the pond and she sinks to the bottom and drowns she is determined to be not a witch (innocent).  If she floats she is guilty and they burn her at the stake…." Draw the parallel?  Ha,Ha,Ha,… gotta love this place.

CCM hang in there

I have no problems sticking this out till the bitter end. I have stuck it out  this far, haven't I?!! It's been interesting, hasn't it? Calling us retards is rude. We are a special group though, aren't we?!! LOL!!!! Some of us more mature then others, that's for sure! Some are just emotionally challenged.

I didn't call anyone a retard. I said everyone was *acting* like retards. Old program trick, or at least, from the one I came from. I've been known to wax ironic from time to time.

Regardless, I think that calling someone a retard or saying that they are acting like one is not nearly as annoying as all of this bullshit infighting. I'm not saying we should all get along, and far be it for me to say I don't often sink to the lowest common denominator, especially when I come up with the idea to lower it further, but seriously, at least we all could go for some style points and have the exchanges contain a little more variety than we are currently witnessing.

In short, I'm not saying that flame threads shouldn't exist. I just wish they'd be more interesting.

I agree. I'm sick of rehashing the same old shit (such as the definition of "program" here on fornits, shouldn't it be a sticky?) and repeating ourselves.

Also, you're gay, fuck you, you faggot!

I think most people are just trying to see what's going down here. Is it the truth? Is it a lies? What the hell is this? I say it is truth by those who have experienced it. For those who have not, you have never walked a day in my shoes. Or for that matter anyone who is in a program at this time.

First, and for most........relatives take them in. If nobody wants the nightmare....then put them into a TBS. Then parents seek therapy. Then join later, hopefully seeing more eye to eye.

You will eventually see eye to eye. You both might need some adjusting. No both. Not just the child. You the parent.

God bless, good luck it's trying times.

I am soooooooooo damn tired.

CCMGirl if you replaced TBS With "ethical treatment ONLY IF NECESSARY unless offered and accepted willingly" or non-restrictive residency that doesn't rob them of normal teenage experiences, social development, freedom and happiness, and gives them an education, that would be some good advice.

Well... the fecal punditry was meant to be somewhat metaphorical.

With all the bullSHIT that's being slung around right now re. carping 'bout fine lines of survivorhood -- chrissakes, you'd think there are different LEVELS of survivorship going on here and some people are in the possession of a higher quality pain than others!  While that may very well be true... You were dumb enough to hand admin access to someone calling himself Crash Test Dummy? That's like giving a three-year-old a grenade to play with. "Whatever you do, Little Johnny, just don't pull the pin."

Idiots, all of you.

On the bright side, I can say for certain that TheWho has, in fact, *not* been speaking with any parents privately on Fornits, at least not recently. Who he has been speaking with, well, you can figure THAT one out on your own, can't you?

As my fellow anon said, it's not the technical issues, the bulletin board software, or even the rogue admins that make you so dismally unsafe here.

Why any of you namefags bother with such laughable company as each other I'll never understand.

Why not get on your horse and ride out of here, if you hate Fornits.
Just what is your agenda besides derailing.  You had a good fucking time in your programs, ok, but if you had any clue at all, except your agenda, you might imagine, not everyperson loved being in a program.
So Get over it and move on.

This is not a site devoted to the first amendment and the freedom of speech - it's a site about survivors of programs which you insist on refuting through showing all the "good" programs - so, yes - I'd say you fly in the face of the intention of the site - which is dessimination of info. If you want to start a site about the "great" places a parent can fob off their to - why not start one, vote with your feet.

I believe in the freedom of speech too, but I also believe in human dignity and basic respect which too many children and robbed of in these hellholes. If you want to continue to defend (or provide a balanced account, whatever)- you'll be the FOX news of fornits. You credibility is about zero anyhow.

Or take the right to get out of bed when I want - if I was never in program and was restrained, I wouldn't feel so blessed every time I am able to move my arms and legs! Glory be to all programs! They have provided me with true insight and gratitude for the little things.

TheWhoisanasshole... whore out your philosophy somewhere else.

Congrats on being accepted at nambla - I hear it's hard to get in, so to speak.

Actually this is an excellent example:

In my opinion these are not examples of abuse, they are examples of strict rules and structure, but since this person feels they were done harm by the program I would consider them a survivor.

Another person may not care about the food choices or care much if they were told what time to get up or go to bed and I would not consider them a survivor based on their experiences.

So this is why it can be a mindset also and why I used the word.

It is a mindset.

Being able to pick out your own food?!!! Oh great, free access to the kitchen (Some of us in programs thought it was funny also to pee and spit in each others make-up, shampoo, throw bed bugs into each others beds) god, being able to have free access to the kitchen, can you say scary, I could see somebody being sick enough to poison everyone, and get a good laugh out of it?!!! Then who is responsible? The school of course! What about as far as meal planning goes, how is the school to order it's food, and cook it, to make sure they have enough, and to limit the amount of waste created by rotting uneaten food? They usually give you a couple options. What do you think it should be like? A restaurant where are given a menu?

The right to get out of bed when you want? Are you kidding me? In the real world you usually have to go to school, or work?!! Should your high school, or college hold classes around your schedule too?  Should work start when you decide to show up? This is ridiculous! Things have to have some kind of order!

As far as the restraining thing goes.......DON'T TAZ ME BRO!!!!!

I love how you can stretch and twist a program's utter control to have anything to do with someone choosing to get up out of bed to go to work or to class

Especially given you choose your job, you choose what shift you work, most managers have leeway in when you arrive if you need it, and you choose your classes and class times in college.

I also love how you can twist and justify restraint with that Gainesville YouTube stunt.

Except for preaching to your choir you're not fooling anyone!

Maybe you should live by some strict rules and structure Who. Maybe you need someone restraining your ugly ass for hours clamping their hands over your mouth while you struggle to breath. Maybe you are into having someone watch you while you take a shower or a shit. Maybe you need to only speak when called on. How about being forced to stay in these conditions until someone tells you that you can leave. Maybe you like not talking to girls / women and looking at male genitals.

Are you just naturally fucked in the head or is it the dollar they put in your pocket that delegates what you say.

I would almost bet you are the staff member that CCM girl had her thingy with.

Now run along and play like the brain dead fucker that you are.

You are obviously incapable of reading comprehension - too much "lovin'" the staffers in program must've clogged your brain - anyway, I am now an adult - a functioning member of society with great job, family blah blah blah.

Anyone in a program knows it's structure and rigid rules versus being outside - the real world with freedom. Apparently, you didn't get that. seriously, are you retarded or what? Has all that jizz dried up in your facial cavities blocking some neural pathways to your miniscule brain or what? You are one of the biggest idiots I have ever had the misfortune of conversing with.

Yes, the world has "social mores" and  idiosynractic conventions in every culture. Unfortunately, the one we live in has morons like you - who believe that anything that falls outside of the norm (or RULE) should be labelled, controlled, and medicated. Please go away - but before you go, please tell me whose payroll you are really on.

There is NO abuse because structure exists. The structure your poster is whining about is not being able to eat whenever, and whatever they want. Also, not being able to lay in bed all day. Boo-hoo, that is so rough! I mean that is downright torturous. Give me a break!

Being restrained for no reason, is abusive. But, as we know there are times when people need to be restrained.

Okay lets try this again!

Just because programs have structure, and don't allow kids to do whatever they want, whenever they want, and have free run of the place does not make them abusive.

Your poster way back was crying about how they didn't have the choice of eating whenever, and whatever they wanted. Not being able to lay in bed all day?????? I thought that was so stupid. You can't run programs, and schools that have sometimes have hundreds of kids in them in an orderly fashion without structure. It just doesn't work that way. A lot of these kids have problems, you can't have some laying in bed all day, some in school, some outside, some in the kitchen. Then you have a lack of supervision. Which then turns into kids maybe killing themselves, by hanging, or whatever. More chance of kids abusing other kids.

Then who becomes responsible? THE SCHOOLS!!!! The schools get sued, and receive a ton of bad press. What are you thinking, and where are you coming from Niles? This is why it is helpful Niles to have the understanding of what goes on in a program. That's why the majority of your statements are just plain retarded! You have zero experiences in regards to programs.

Oh my brother really ENJOYED running into the house after the kids peeled out of her driveway to find this woman full of holes, and blood splattered all over the place with her gasping for air, laying there dying.

So, go fuck yourself bitch.

NORTH COUNTY ---- A federal appeals court Tuesday upheld a judge's decision to deny a convicted killer's request for a new trial in connection with the stabbing death of an Escondido woman 10 years ago.

As a 15-year-old in 1995, Danielle Nicole Barcheers of Escondido became the youngest girl in state history charged with murder as an adult. She was convicted in 1997 of first-degree murder in connection with the September 1995 stabbing death of Elizabeth "Betty" Carroll, 53, in her Escondido home.

In 1999, a state appeals court overturned the conviction and ordered a new trial. Barcheers was convicted of first-degree murder again in May 2000. A state appeals court upheld the second conviction, and the state Supreme Court declined to review the case.

Barcheers' attorney filed a petition in February 2003 in federal court, asking for a writ of habeas corpus to order a third trial. That request was denied on Aug. 7, 2003, prompting the appeal that was decided Tuesday.

Barcheers is serving 25 years to life in prison for Carroll's murder. Her boyfriend at the time was also convicted of murder and is serving life in prison without parole. Another teenager charged in the case was acquitted of murder, but was convicted of less serious charges for taking items from Carroll's home the night of she was slain. He was paroled in October 1999.

Thank god, I hope she rots in prison.

Well, the majority of you on Fornits don't believe in sending kids to programs, and that programs shouldn't exist. Well, I don't believe in teenagers who are out of control, that are allowed to do whatever they hell they want, and ruin peoples lives forever.

That's the point I am getting at. You guys think kids should be able to make the decision whether or not they need treatment? Do you think Danielle would've volunteered to go into a program? What about the other two guys with her?

My point is, kids do some really stupid things. Parents know their kids best. If they see some kind of behavioral problems developing in their teenager, they have every right in the world to step in, and take action. Even if it means sending them to a program where god forbid there are rules, and a little structure.

Never about the parents - never about the abuse. Play the blame game, always blame some out of control kids. You are dense - & you are stupid - you are incapable of having a conversation based on the topic at hand - you talk about the subject tangentially, like a fucking autistic chimp.

The whole reason the world is wrong is because there aren't enough programs or abuse or authority or control, right? Bad kills because they are out of control. Maybe we should send our president to a program because there are alot of people dead because of him.

Your sense of humor isn't funny, it's downright sadistic, you fucking sociopath. When you are on your knees tonight giving head to some edcon, don't forget to swallow, cooze.

Picked out a program for your kid yet?  Christ knows he/she'll end up in one, with a psycho dung-heap like you parenting.

No, you've convinced me otherwise. If I am seeing anything out of the ordinary  it's just a phase! A little coke here, and there, no problem! Why is everyone freaking out about?!! So, she held up a bank at gun point? Big deal, it was a BB gun. So she's having unprotected sex at the age of 12, if she contracts HIV, that's the lesson she'll have to learn. Hey, I care about my child, and I refuse to get her help because I've heard reports out there (a lot here), that some programs have been charged with abuse. Therefore, I am going to sit back, and do nothing. I believe it'll all work itself out eventually. It will, won't it?

She told me when she was robbing the bank that she was doing it to save up enough money to afford treatment since she knew we were a little tight on funds. We told that to the judge, he was cool with that!!!!!!

Wow, these teenagers stabbed this innocent woman 61 times?!! Wait the 15 year old girl had been subjected to sexual, and physical abuse at the ages of 2 and 5? So, we should give her a break?

No, but they ~should~ get due process, shouldn't they?

(I'm not entirely up on this thread yet; my apologies if someone already made this point.)

Honestly CCM.... Is there some sadistic pleasure that you get when people "crash" on you??? As long as you are here putting off an arrogant front, the longer the insanity will go on.

What is it that you find beneficial about disrupting conversations about how bad programs are.... Oh yea, I forgot..... You are here to cause disruption and calamity because you are trying to do damage control for the programs. I guess what "The Commentator" said is true.

CCM, I went thru the same thing you are (a couple of times).  It is hard for anyone to here to fathom that people have positive experiences.  20,000 to 30,000 kids a year benefit from the industry and a handful do not and this is how they justify their position.  People here focus on the handful and ignore the rest.
Anyone who disagrees with them must be on the payroll…

Sure kids get abused by members in the teen industry.. but this applies to any industry which deals with children from day care centers to our own public school system.  Regulation isn’t going to stop it because people will figure out a way to hurt kids if that is what they want to do.  we all know this by listening to the news everyday.  It happens everywhere.

Instead of looking at individual cases we need to step back and look at the industry as a whole.  If you do you will see that TBS’s are the safest alternative for a child at risk who hasn’t responded well to local options.  If parents talk to the schools and/or parents who had kids go thru some of these programs they will get a better sense themselves and this is what I recommend (dont take anyones word from the internet, including mine, check it out for yourselves)

You got to love the logic, though.  It’s a blast reading thru these posts on this thread CCM.

Ps:  Niles I am proud of you.  You kept your cool in the midst of controversy and walked away when you were proven wrong instead of posting porn and animal pictures.  It’s a good sign and seems to be working for you.
