How do you like the Raveonettes? I think they're fucking great......"Attack of the Ghost Riders"

Pretty good...I like 'em!

"Attack of the Ghost Riders" isn't on the release that I have.

What a truly remarkable man, and one hell of a nice guy. Another great that doesn't get the accolades he deserves.

I love Bo Diddley.

I just borrowed a copy of a reissue of I Think Of Demons, considered by many afficianados to be his finest reord. Opening with "Two Headed Dog", this is a damn fine album by one of the truly great unknown heroes of Rock and Roll. It really bothers me that Roky never got the wider acclaim that he deserves, with the 13TH Floor Elevators or for his solo work. His fanbase is composed primarily of a bunch of drug crazed weirdos and record store clerks, though many of them have gone on to form bands that you may actually own records by. The man is a fucking GOD, I tell you, a fucking GOD!!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. Roky has a truly unique voice and was a brilliant songwriter. He's right up there with Neil Young in that respect. What the hell happened?

Someone should start a thread with a tutorial on converting LPs (analog) to digital.
Today I listened to A Ghost Is Born by Wilco.

In the silence of a grave
In the words of someone's hero
A blue television screen
Words don't mean anything
In this word factory
Replacement parts are free
Pictures of failed ideas
Only took me fifteen years

All your words cannot describe
The attitudes that lie inside
Subculture killed at birth
Got bored and slowly die

In the silence of a graveyard
Someone's talking to himself
Oh! What a letdown!
Oh! What a boring letdown!
Such a perfect face
Words are such a waste
Let me paint a picture of you
And hang it in this empty place

Can I quote from your ideas
Put your excuses on the wall
Devaluated words
Blown up to mean sod all
Oh! What a letdown!
Oh! What a boring letdown!

Did you just say something?
It must have blown away
Got bored and slowly died
Forget what you have to say
Forget what you have to say
Forget what you have to say
Forget what you have to say
Who wrote this anyway?
